What do you see?
What colors are used to paint the work?
Did you notice a feature in the image?

Indeed, these works are painted with oil paints using a tool. What is the name of this instrument?
Proposed Presentation Attachment 1 . Short description presentation materials:
Palette knife (from Italian mestichino) - a special knife or master, usually used in oil painting for mixing paints, cleaning the palette, less often - for applying primers to the canvas and additional grinding of paints. As a rule, palette knives are made of horn, steel or plastic. They can have a wide variety of shapes and sizes. A palette knife is also used instead of a brush to create a painting, applying paint in an even layer or in relief strokes. So, M. Vrubel, working with a palette knife, seemed to combine the techniques of a painter and a sculptor, which manifested itself in the creation of forms similar to faceted stones. As a result, a monumental technique was born that imitated mosaics (“Seated Demon”, 1890). Thanks to the palette knife technique in the painting “Lilac” (1900), clusters of lilac seem to grow from the depths of dark space and turn into fantastic crystals sparkling in the moonlight. Palette knife painting is distinguished by bright natural colors. When creating works of this type, colors are almost never mixed, applying paint to the canvas directly from the tube. As a result, the impression of a puzzle, an application is created. From afar, the work resembles shreds or stickers pasted onto canvas. The technique of working with a palette knife is quite different from the technique of using a brush, and at first it may seem a little strange. An example for comparison is the preparation of a sandwich with butter. The artist takes a small amount of paint from the palette with the tip of a palette knife. Then he uses the side of the blade - to spread the paint on the canvas or press it a little into the canvas.
At the beginning of work, the very tip of the blade is used, with which small dots of paint are applied to the canvas. Then the palette knife is forcefully drawn down in order to get thin lines. To create texture, press the blade flat down into the paint. The different shape of the knife allows you to achieve different effects. For example, a palette knife with a short blade is used for applying angular strokes, with a sweeping manner of writing it is better to use a tool with a long blade. The palette knife is ideal for creating textures in the impasto technique (applying paint in a thick layer with a palette knife or brush), for applying flat layers of paint when working on large-scale canvases. During the period of the 17-18 centuries, the palette knife was used only for cleaning the canvas or mixing colors. But the English romantic artist William Turner lived during this period, who found a palette knife a new use - to apply paint to them to convey the brightness of colors, lighting and atmospheric effects. Mikhail Vrubel also used a palette knife in his work. This created the illusion of a three-dimensional image. Among contemporary masters palette knife painting should be called the Vietnamese artist Pa Chu Trang, the Belarusian artist Leonid Afremov and the French artist Daniel Castan. Using the rich possibilities of the palette knife technique, each of them goes his own way in art, creating original paintings.

Landscape painting is varied: a quiet autumn and exotic countries, a small cozy house and unusual high mountains for us, a stormy sea, urban architecture and wide multifaceted views nature. The main task landscape there has never been a mere depiction of a particular area, and now, in the age of photography, this would be completely ridiculous. The artist in any picture tries to express his feelings caused by the view that opens before his eyes with the help of paints. Children of the elder preschool age most willingly and often chosen landscape for your own drawings. First, because landscape- the most emotional genre which is especially close to them. Secondly, landscape does not require serious preparation in the drawing, such as a portrait, and the high complexity of the drawing. And finally, children see around them a variety of landscapes feel their beauty (It is quite difficult for a child to appreciate the beauty of a still life). To teach children properly draw nature the educator needs certain skills in the image landscape. This was dedicated Master Class.

Drawing with paints is not only very interesting, but also informative. The landscape, executed in different techniques, calms, gives positive emotions and instills in the artist a sense of beauty.

From our lesson you will learn how to draw a landscape in stages and what is required for this.

Landscape

Painting in watercolor or gouache wide selection landscape.

For example, one of the most impressive subjects for drawing is mountains. They can be both smooth, similar to a mountain range, and sharp. By depicting mountains, you have the opportunity to show the contrast between sky and earth, high plains and slopes.

Another significant point is the weather. It is very exciting to draw winter mountains: you can “play” with shadow and light, with various shades and reflexes on white snow. Ultramarine, yellowish, turquoise, ocher or burgundy - all this is quite appropriate on the snow cover. The main thing is to choose the right color scheme.

No less interesting for beginner artists will be summer landscape depicting mountains. Picturesque and beautiful: warm shades of grass or cold colors on pine branches, a riot of greenery and colors. At the same time, you do not need to carefully draw them - the bolder and freer the brush lies in your hand, the easier and more relaxed the picture will be.

Important: a landscape is not only nature, but also a certain atmosphere, in the creation of which we put our mood and emotions.

Where does the landscape begin?

Any drawing must begin with a layout on a paper sheet. Make the sky less land or vice versa. Please note that these parts do not have to be the same.

If you are drawing mountains, then be sure to think about which peak will become higher and which one will become low. You should not depict the same mountains, although this happens in reality. It is best to make them different compositionally, which will add some dynamics to your drawing.

Take Special attention items located on foreground- what is closest to the artist, that is, to you. The foreground is always drawn more diligently and in more detail than the background.

And now let's try to draw a mountain landscape with gouache.

Landscape in gouache in stages: draw mountains

Stage 1
Take special paper for drawing in A3 format and make a preliminary sketch by mixing white and blue gouache, paint over the sky. While it is “not dry”, paint clouds with white gouache, making circular movements with a brush to get a mixture of colors. The use of such a technique will make the sky cloudy and a little fantastic.

Stage 2
We turn to the image of the mountains. Mix white gouache with blue, add a little purple and completely paint over the mountains. Mix the same color with whitewash and immediately paint over the parts of the mountains that are located in the light. In order not to disturb the aerial perspective at the base of the mountains, make the color light.

Now the fun part! Do you want to learn how to draw a landscape in stages for beginners in a variety of ways? Then let's draw snow-capped mountains.

Stage 3
Scoop up white with a palette knife and lightly pressing until the paint is dry, make cuts on the mountain with the tip of this palette knife. Paint over shadow areas in the same way, only with a bluish tint of gouache.

Important: do not use a large amount of gouache and do not mix it with water - the paint should be thick. Practice first on a separate sheet of paper and only then start drawing.

Stage 4
Mix white with blue gouache, and then walk at the foot of the mountains with smooth strokes.

Stage 5
Now mix blue paint with green paint and draw a forest. Add ocher or other shades of yellow and green for a forest look. Use the same colors to paint the ground.

stage 6
Draw a lake by mixing white and blue gouache and add some green.

Stage 7
Final step. Again, mix the blue and green paint, and then, making large strokes, paint over the future bushes.

Stage 8
Using light shades of ocher and greens, complete the image of the bushes.

Landscape watercolor in stages: draw a sunset

Next, we will look at how to paint a sunset using watercolor. Everything you need in this case- watercolor and watercolor paper. Shall we start?

Stage 1
Without making a preliminary sketch and slightly wetting the sheet with water, proceed to writing the sky. To do this, take the blue, purple, pink and orange watercolor color. Clouds can be drawn the way you like, mixing colors and creating unusual transitions.

Stage 2
Before the paint is dry, mark the background with a darker color - it should be different from the sky. And a little closer to yourself, using a dark purple shade, make the plan even darker. Draw also a small fluffy tree and leave the work to dry completely.

Stage 3
Using a dark purple hue, draw a tree trunk, adding burgundy blotches in some places. Paint over the ground with the same color to make it as similar as possible to the roots of a tree.

Then, with a thin brush, slowly draw tree branches, different in width and length: thick and thin, long and short. In the background, make the branches a little lighter, and darker in the foreground.

Ready! You yourself painted a colorful and very beautiful sunset.

There are many techniques for painting a landscape with paints. But if you are a beginner artist, then step by step drawing it will be easier with gouache. It is easy to use: it does not have a specific smell, it is easily mixed with water and washed off. Any brush is suitable for working with gouache, but it is best to give preference to ponies or synthetics.

This technique is also suitable for beginners because, having made a mistake, it will be easy to correct it by painting over with another layer of paint. In addition, the next layer applied to the dried pigment will not mix with the previous one. The main difference between gouache and acrylic oil paints- she can draw more freely, without fear of making a mistake.

It does not matter how you draw parts of the picture - all at once or separately. For example, you can first paint over the ground and sky with gouache, and then paint the foreground, trees and clouds.

Note: to speed up the work, apply paint to objects immediately, without leaving "for later". Agree, it is much easier to do everything in one step, and not wait for the picture to “dry”.

This version of landscape painting is no less interesting and is also quite suitable for novice artists. You will easily master watercolor technique if you know some tricks and important rules.

- Drawing with watercolors is, first of all, working with layers. The paint is translucent, which means that mixing of each new layer with the past cannot be avoided.
- Mistakes are excluded - that's what anyone who picks up a watercolor needs to know.
- Recipe for success - thick paper. The rough special surface perfectly absorbs watercolor paint and guarantee good results.
- Close objects should be painted over with bright colors, everything else should be mixed with water and pale. Unlike oils, acrylics or gouache, watercolors are written “liquid”.
- For watercolors, it is best to use brushes with natural squirrel or pony hair.

And, of course, do not forget that painting a landscape with paints in several stages is a rather difficult task for a novice artist. Here many questions arise: how to arrange everything on a sheet, how to get specific color how to highlight a particular subject, etc. Answers come only with experience.

The best advice that can be given to all beginners in painting is more practice - draw the most ordinary subjects. Remember that the sooner you realize that realism is directly dependent on highlighting some details and creating contrast, the sooner everything will work out.

So what is a landscape? This is a good training for any artist, which does not allow you to get away from main theme images and at the same time gives freedom of imagination.

... Red poppies bring joy,
They smile at me tenderly.
In the field of green dawn comfort,
Life, like the sky, is boundless! ..

Equipment.
Paper for watercolor, gouache paint set St. Petersburg 12 colors, flat synthetic brush No. 12, round synthetic brush No. 3, large jar for water, palette knife for a set of paints, rag-rag for wiping the brush, paper napkins, palette - plastic, adhesive tape painting for attaching paper to the tablet.

Today I suggest you draw red poppies in the summer rain. So many artists turned to writing these bright wildflowers. Today we will try to write red poppies without a preliminary sketch. with a simple pencil, immediately with a brush. Let's start with the background. Let it be a glade flooded with sun and summer rain. For the background we need 3 colors: yellow, dark green, ultramarine blue. enjoy better paints produced in St. Petersburg, the Master Class series, they are ideal for painting, have good hiding power, and when dried, they acquire a velvety surface.
1. Using masking tape, attach paper to the tablet.

2. With a palette knife (a spatula for a set of paint), we first collect yellow paint and apply it diagonally on a sheet of paper, in the upper left corner.

Having moistened a flat brush with water, we stretch the color by about a third of the sheet.

3. Then we take green paint and also apply it to the sheet, and then, with a brush with water, we stretch the color diagonally, leaving the bottom corner, and the border between yellow and green flowers- blur.

4. We do the same in blue, with a brush we blur the border between blue and green paints.

It is important to pick up the paint with a clean palette knife, after each color it must be wiped with a cloth! And be sure to rinse the brush with water and wipe dry with a cloth or napkins.

5. Now on the palette we will make two valers (colors) - yellow-green and white-green

we will draw rain with them. It is better to use white-green in the upper part of the sheet, and yellow-green in the lower part. To apply paint, you need to use a round brush, apply strokes vertically.
It is important to apply a new color on a dry surface, otherwise the colors will merge and become dirty!

6. The background is ready, now you can do poppies. For poppies, we need the following colors: scarlet, yellow, white, black. We will draw a clearing with poppies going into the distance, taking into account the perspective. Therefore, large poppies will grow in the foreground, we will draw them in detail, and in the distance (at the top of the sheet) we will draw scarlet spots of poppies. Naturally, we need a scarlet color. It is very easy to draw a poppy head: the lower part is two arcs,

and the top is a wavy semicircle.

I got 5 large flowers.

You can draw as little or as much as you like.
7. After the paint has dried, we need to freshen up our poppies a bit and make them more realistic. For this we need a yellow and White color. We will cover the upper edges of the lower petals yellow, and the tops of the petals are white.

8. The core of poppies is yellow.

In some cores, you can add green.

9. And now it remains to add a few strokes of black

And our poppies in the summer rain - ready!

If you want, you can paint a branch with a bud in the foreground and add grass. It remains to remove the tape and that's what we got!

Here's what happened to my guys.
