The project "Ukrainian Supermodel" is an analogue of the popular long-term show by Tyra Banks "America's Next Top Model". Thanks to him, ordinary Ukrainian girls have a chance to experience all the intricacies of working in the modeling business and fully prepare themselves for this profession. All participants will face difficult, but insanely interesting tests, creative ideas photography, as well as exciting trips that will remain in the memory of every girl for a long time. They will compete for the following prizes: a photo session and an interview for the Pink fashion magazine, a contract with the French agency Marilyn Agency and collaboration with fashion designer Kristina Bobkova.
The launch of such large-scale project on the territory of Ukraine, has become a real discovery for everyone who wants to connect their lives with the modeling industry. That is why the casting was attended by more than 1000 Ukrainian girls. After careful selection, the judges identified 15 radically different participants, who later had to try all the previously prepared tests on themselves. They were waiting for a photo shoot with raw meat, nasty insects and dead fish. In addition, they had to walk along a spinning catwalk, defile on jumpers and with a dog. However, they would not have been able to cope with difficult tasks without the advice of professional judges.

The leading and main mentor for the participants was Ukrainian supermodel with a worldwide reputation. Thanks to her many years of experience in Paris, Milan and New York, she manages to explain to every girl the rules of survival in the modeling business in an accessible and understandable way.

In the first episode, Richard, Sonya and Sergey had to choose 30 potential participants from 200 pre-casting girls. Each model was given only a minute to fully tell about themselves and show all their strengths. The girls of the jury members were not surprised by anything: they showed their plasticity, danced, sang and even showed acrobatic numbers half-naked. Thirty selected were given a new task - to take 4 pictures in a photo booth. Based on these photos, Alla Kostromicheva, with the help of other judges, chose 15 worthy participants.
2 series
This issue was filled with scandals between Vlada Rogovenko and Nastya Morozova, and all because of the living room. However, the disappointment and controversy did not end there. The next day, the participants were taken to a beauty salon to make a dramatic change in their appearance. At their first professional photo shoot, the girls had to transform into plants. Someone got the image of chamomile and roses, and someone got the image of moss and cactus. To support the girls in the first test, one of the judges, Sonya Plakidyuk, became their photographer. The last competition for girls was a fashion show in a shopping center.

Not all participants in the first season of "SMPU" had ideal model parameters. To fix this and force the girls to watch their figure, the producers invited the famous Ukrainian nutritionist Svetlana Fus. After that, each participant was individually weighed and measured parameters. On this basis, a scandal breaks out between them again, which almost ends in a fight. The next day, the girls went to the construction site, which served as a backdrop for their photo shoot. Arriving back at the house, the mentor Alla Kostromicheva began the long-awaited lesson in the correct defile. The participants were able to use this knowledge the very next day, defiling along an incredibly narrow podium.
Episode 4
In this episode, the photo session took place in an extremely atypical place for fashion - in a landfill. The organizers chose the largest Kyiv garbage dump as a backdrop, which was an unpleasant disappointment for all participants. This place was definitely no coincidence. The producers wanted to convey to the viewer the massive problem of pollution. environment. On the fashion show, the girls had to work hard, because in addition to the narrow podium, they also got uncomfortable shoes with huge heels. Due to the fact that many girls did not fit a pair of shoes in size, this fashion show turned out to be one of the most difficult of the whole season.

A new day for the participants began with new challenges. In the morning, Richard Horn woke the girls up and organized a small obstacle course to test their fitness. The participants were divided into 2 teams to create a little competition. At the end of the test, the girls were in for another surprise - a fashion show in front of the public. The winning team was given the opportunity to clean up after the mud and swamp, while the losers had to go as is. The next day, the participants went to sports complex for a photo session where they had to demonstrate different kinds sports ranging from fencing to yoga.
Episode 6
With this series, exciting journeys of models around Ukraine began. The first destination was Lviv. Even at the railway station itself, the judges gave the girls a provocative check. From the train they were met by a famous Ukrainian journalist, who asked tricky, typical questions for each model. None of the participants were able to complete this task. The fashion show this week was also not the easiest. Each model got a dog as a partner. Someone was lucky to defile with a small breed, while someone got an uncontrollable and large one. The girls were brought to the freezer for the photo session, where animal carcasses were stored, and sewn pieces of lard and meat served as costumes. It was especially difficult for Anna-Kristina to cope with this task, since she is a vegetarian.

This week's photo shoot turned out to be one of the most stressful for the girls of the entire season. They needed to overcome their fear of insects and reptiles. The participants had to interact with a spider, a snake, an iguana and a cockroach. As for the fashion show, it also turned out to be very mystical. In the images of ghosts, they had to descend from the tower with the help of a cable, and then parade past the judges. Surprisingly, the girls coped with the fear of heights much better than the brave participants.
Episode 8
In episode 8, the first group photo session of the season was waiting for the models. However, everything turned out to be not so simple. The photo shoots took place in different places, and the girls, equipped with hiking backpacks and suits, had to have time to visit each location for shooting before sunset. The most modest girl of the project, Lera, was chosen as the leader. During the defile competition, the participants had to create their own image, mixing a fashionable unusual style with national Hutsul elements. Most of the models managed to show themselves well in this competition.

At the time of this release, the girls were in the mystical Ukrainian city of Kamenetz-Podolsky, so the theme of the photo shoot was appropriate. The models embodied the image of witches in reality, and in the frame they showed their emotions before the execution. As a defile, the organizers staged a bright theatrical performance. To make it more difficult for the girls to participate in the competition, they had to defile on high jumpers.
Episode 10
After the mystical Kamenetz-Podolsk, the girls were brought to sunny Odessa, where each of them dreamed of plunging into the sea. However, the very first photo session lowered the models from heaven to earth. They needed to do beautiful photo in a boat with dead fish that stinks of rot. Because of excess weight some participants, it was much more difficult for them to decide on the angle. The fashion show this week took place on the pier in swimsuits.

Series 11 began with another defile on the pier, however, this time the girls had to walk in uncomfortable tight skirts, which made movement much more difficult. The main task was to effectively remove the elements of clothing and reach the judges in only one swimsuit. The photoshoot this time was without any surprises. The models had the opportunity to star in an advertising campaign for jewelry by a famous designer. Judge Sonya Plakidyuk acted as a photographer. However, this was not the only shoot this week. They were also waiting for a photo session in the style of Sonya the golden pen.
Episode 12
The week started with an interesting Bonnie and Clyde style photoshoot. The girls went to retro car, scattered money and smoked cigars. The main prize for the best shot was a meeting with loved ones. The next photo session was, as never before, candid. They were given three male models to interact with in just their underwear. Many girls were embarrassed, however, the youngest participants proved to be the best.
Episode 13
It was in this episode that the remaining members went to Paris. The first photo shoot in the fashion capital took place in the modern part of the city. The girls needed to be reincarnated as unearthly creatures that had just arrived on our planet. Unusual poses and the right emotions helped them to make a beautiful shot. The second photo shoot was radically different in style from the first. The shooting was in Provence style, and the scenery was a field and sheaves of wheat. The defile of the participants took place in an old castle, and the girls themselves had to have time to change 4 looks for the show.

In the finals, the models had a difficult photo session - the lords of the elements. The elements of water, fire and wind were distributed among the participants. Each of the elements was complex in its own way. For example, a girl with the element of air was hung up and swayed on cables. Whoever got the water had to completely plunge into their element and pose at the bottom of the pool. With fire it was the hardest thing, because the dress could catch fire at any second.

This girl has come a thorny and difficult path on the project. Has changed dramatically, both externally and internally. She was able to get around the strongest rivals and did not break, even when she was sent home by invited experts from Odessa in the eleventh episode.
Her competitor in the superfinal was Dasha Maystrenko. This beauty was also predicted to win almost from the casting stage. It is hard to imagine how the experts managed to make a choice between such strong superfinalists. Two fantastically beautiful and talented girls who have become professional, hardy and bright models on the project.
“Dasha has achieved a lot in terms of working on herself. But she still needs to change, become stronger and more confident. All the time of filming the finale, sparks fly through the hall, sparkling islands of greenery. By the way, there are two final shows this year. The ideological inspirer of one of them was the Ukrainian fashion designer Marina Rybalko. 10 guys competed on the show, but only Samvel Tumanyan made it to the final! And this is not surprising, because he has almost ideal parameters. He is only 19 years old, his height is 185 centimeters, and his parameters are 110-70-100.
Samvel Tumanyan has been involved in sports for 12 years. That is why he boasts an almost perfect body and texture. Samvel is the champion of Ukraine in wrestling and combat sambo. He had to end his sports career after injuries. He underwent two major operations, after which he was no longer able to play sports. But sports discipline helped him to reach the final of the show.
Samvel had no modeling experience at all, but he showed himself well even at the beginning of autumn, which influenced the decisions of the judges.
Samvel Tumanyan appeared during the fashion show of designer Serge Smolin. Also, within the framework of the Ukrainian Fashion Week SS "18, Samvel presented a collection of the Ukrainian brand Komashnya.

Of course, the conditions in which girls are selected are quite difficult. Huge queues, great competition, not very comfortable conditions (waiting on the street, narrow stuffy corridors, small rooms filled with a mountain of things in which girls sit). As these bloggers say, it’s mostly not those girls who have excellent external data, know how to walk on the podium or brought chic portfolios with them, but those who tell an interesting (sad) story of their life and stand out in some way, go to the next round ( remembered) against the background of the rest.

Castings of the show were held in six large cities of Ukraine. After reviewing more than two thousand girls aged 16 to 30, the project team selected 200 of them. But only 15 chosen ones will continue the fight for the title of Ukrainian Supermodel!
They will have to fully experience all the "charms" of the cruel modeling business. Every week, the girls have to prepare for unthinkable fashion shows and the most difficult photo shoots in the most incredible corners of our country and the capital of world fashion - Paris.
14 weeks of the model will be under the guns of cameras! Participants are waiting for a meeting with a photographer, choreographer, stylist, nutritionist, personal trainer and psychologist. Lessons defile, plastic arts, make-up art and acting.

The ability to communicate, find a common language and the ability to take your place under the sun in such a difficult business as the modeling business are key factors on the way to successful career. And here it doesn’t matter whether the girl wins the show or not. So far, I don’t know who will become the winner of the Ukrainian supermodel show in 2015, but I can say for sure that winning this show is not the main thing.
I think that for any aspiring model who came to the show Show Supermodel in Ukrainian Season 2, it is necessary to show herself, first of all for a certain circle of professional viewers, from such an angle that looking at her work from the screen, any company wants to take her to herself as a model, regardless of the results of the show itself. I prophesy victory in the show Supermodel in Ukrainian season 2 to the girl who will burn with this business, who will have the greatest inner desire and huge potential for further development. I think the winner will be the one that will enjoy the process in the first place. Maybe these are just my assumptions, but judging by the first season, it was the girl with a similar set of qualities and a great desire for further development that was named the winner. But the ending is not predictable. Therefore, I will watch and decide on a favorite as the show develops.
