Ivanovo museum of military equipment. Military Technical Museum, Ivanovskoye Village - "Military Technical Museum in Chernogolovka

On the territory of the science city Chernogolovka, located 40 km from Moscow, Military Technical Museum dedicated to the history of civil and military equipment.

The museum is government agency culture of the Moscow region. Its exposition has been created for several years by the efforts of enthusiasts and enthusiastic people and is a joint project with the National Patriotic Museum "Combat Brotherhood". Today, the museum's collection brings together samples of equipment from the Soviet Union, Germany, France, the USA, Japan, and other foreign countries and covers more than a 100-year period: from the end of the 19th century to the present day.

The exhibition opens with a collection of horse-drawn vehicles: horse-drawn carriages, carriages, carriages, in which our great-grandfathers traveled, and, of course, the famous carts - war chariots of modern world history.

The exposition of automotive technology introduces many achievements of the foreign automotive industry, and most importantly, with the products of the main domestic automobile plants. In the line of the Gorky Automobile Plant, you can see the first GAZ-A, GAZ-AA and GAZ-MM lorries, the legendary Emka, Pobeda, Volga, Chaika. The Likhachev plant is firefighters ZIS-5, ZIS-6, ZIL-157, limousines ZIS-101, ZIS-110, government ZILs. The history of domestic small cars can be easily traced by the Muscovites of the Lenin Komsomol Automobile Plant and the Zaporozhets of the Kommunar Automobile Plant, which once formed the basis of the country's car park. There is interesting exhibits, descended from the conveyors of the Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ), the Riga Automobile Factory (RAF), the Yaroslavl Automobile Plant (now the Yaroslavl Motor Plant - YaMZ) and others.

Here is a collection of taxi cars, the main part of which was donated to the museum by Vitaly Vasilyevich Klyuev, a researcher into the history of Moscow taxis.

A significant place is given to motorcycles: motorcycles, scooters and motorbikes.

Only in the Military Technical Museum you can see a one-of-a-kind collection of fire fighting equipment and equipment, as well as search and rescue vehicles for evacuating astronauts and other all-terrain vehicles created by the outstanding Soviet designer Vitaly Andreyevich Grachev at the ZIL automobile plant.

But still Special attention the exposition is given to cars and armored vehicles of the times of the Great Patriotic War, which embodied all the best that was developed by the engineers of the pre-war period. Along with domestic cars, there are rare specimens of American trucks and cars, at one time supplied by the USSR under the Lend-Lease agreement. There are also military trophies of the brands Mercedes-Benz, Horch, Volkswagen, Stöwer. The pride of the museum are tanks, armored personnel carriers, self-propelled artillery mounts, mortars, cannons, howitzers, models of small arms.

The State Military Technical Museum in Chernogolovka is not only exhibition complex, but also a restoration, educational center. Our specialists restore and, when necessary, recreate any type of vehicle of any complexity: from a simple cart to a ZIL limousine.

The museum has organized search teams that are working to establish and perpetuate the names of the dead soldiers, search for equipment, equipment, historical documents, household items. In the future, a children's military sports camp, workshops for scientific and technical creativity, a library, archives, and a cinema will also be created here.

The Military Technical Museum in Chernogolovka takes an active part in automotive and historical exhibitions, festivals, motor races, reenactments of battles held jointly with the military-historical clubs of Russia. Special meaning attached to participation in solemn parades, dedicated to the Day Victory Day, Defender of the Fatherland Day, other memorable events and dates.

The main task of the museum is to preserve civil and military equipment, including especially valuable and unique exhibits, to develop the interest of the younger generation in the history of the country, to patriotic education of young people on the examples of the courage and heroism of our people.

This is a tribute to the memory of our ancestors, who, with their knowledge, work and talent, created the greatness and glory of the Motherland.

At the end of the May holidays, I had a chance to visit the Military Technical Museum in the village of Ivanovskoye. For a long time I "sharpened my teeth" at this object, located not far from Chernogolovka, near Moscow, but the trip there was held back by the fact that it was possible and possible to get there by something other than a car, but not very easy. And the point is not so much in the remoteness of the museum from "civilization", but in the wildest traffic jams on the Shchelkovo highway, in which, among other things, sticks out and public transport. Now, when there are no problems with the “wheels”, traffic jams can be bypassed, it’s spring and the sun is in the yard ... Well, in general, under the cut is (but, of course, far from everything) that we saw in this wonderful and what something not quite an ordinary museum.

Briefly about the museum. One of the youngest (founded in 2010) technical museums in Russia is located on the territory of a former pioneer camp and contains a fairly extensive collection of all kinds of equipment, ranging from military equipment and cars from various countries and eras, to samples of machine tools, household appliances and other technical details. The museum has a website (links to information from which I will also provide in the captions to photographs, so as not to spread my thoughts along the tree for each exhibit). The exhibits are located in the buildings of the former pioneer camp, as well as in specially built buildings and under canopies in open areas. Unfortunately, not all equipment can be examined from all sides, not to mention touched (although this is rather correct). Nevertheless, the museum has both exhibits traditional for museums of this kind - such as the T-34-85 tank - and unique specimens of domestic and foreign equipment. One of them is a "flying saucer":

1. The turret of the Soviet heavy tank KV-1 and the barrel, carriage and protective plate of the German Pak-38 gun, found by search teams in the battlefields of the Great Patriotic War.

2. The wreckage of the IL-2 aircraft. Something tells me that lying on foreground the contraption has nothing to do with the IL-2, and looks more like an elevator motor than a part from an aircraft ...

3. The "nail" of the museum's exposition is the unique EKIP aircraft.

4. Anti-aircraft searchlight station type Z-15-4B. Produced from 1939 to 1942 at the Moscow plant "Prozhektor".

5. Fragment of the heat-shielding coating of the Soviet spaceship reusable "Buran". In the background is a ZiS-2 anti-tank gun.

15. Next, we turn to the exhibits of the Moscow Taxi Museum. ZIS-110 taxi (in fact, the former personal car of Pavel Rotmistrov, Marshal of the Soviet Union).

18. Classic Moscow taxi of the 70-80s - Volga GAZ-24-01.

19. Another unique exhibit -.

21. ... and its Soviet "analogue" - GAZ-67B.

22. Models of the EKIP aircraft and an experimental hovercraft.

23. Various household appliances of the Soviet era.

27. A small part of the collection of domestic motorcycles.

28. Mopeds and scooters.

31. Vintage equipment for gas stations.

35. An-2 aircraft cabin.

36. Car of specialized medical care "Seagull" GAZ-13S.

45. Self-propelled gun 2S5 "Hyacinth-S". Yes, on the left below - the May snowdrift.

46. Airport fire truck

The armor is strong and our tanks are fast... Artillerymen, Stalin gave the order, Artillerymen - the fatherland is calling us... Twenty-seven heroic years rustle over you like banners... Yes, God knows how many songs you can remember - they all rightfully could become epigraph.
In Moscow and the region there are many museums dedicated to technology and the armed forces. But all of them are more or less specialized: tanks in Kubinka, aviation in Monino, cars - on Rogozhsky Val in Moscow, locomotives and wagons - at the Rizhsky railway station. Always been Central Museum armed forces and exposure to Poklonnaya Hill. Recently, private museums have appeared - such as the museum of Vadim Zadorozhny. It does not have any particular specifics, but everything is there - from motorized wheelchairs to airplanes.
The Military Technical Museum is an exception in this regard. Ground equipment is collected here. There is an aircraft (An-2) and a boat, but the bulk of the exhibits are ground equipment. Moreover, many specimens cannot simply be called unique - these are the samples that exist almost in a single copy - Chaika GAZ-136 with a station wagon body, an experimental minibus VNIITE-PT on electric traction, ZiLovskie all-terrain vehicles. A lot of production cars. Gorky GAZ-M1 and German Horch, Ford-T and Volga M21 can stand nearby. But first things first.
I learned about the museum by accident. But when he found out, he changed plans and rushed there. And not in vain.

at the entrance to the museum meets such a composition

This summer I visited a museum in the village of Ivanovskoe near Chernogolovka. The museum is large and there is a lot to see.
For those interested - the museum's website http://gvtm.ru/ - there you can find the opening hours of the museum. How to get there - is described in the same place, in the "contacts" section. I got from the Shchelkovskaya metro station by minibus number 320, which follows to Chernogolovka, then I had to wait for bus number 73. The bus leaves from there at 8-00, 9-00, 10-00, 12-00, 13-50, 16-00, 17-10. You can go either to the "hospital" stop, then you will have to go a little forward, or to the "temple" stop, then you will need to go back. You can also ask the driver to stop at the turn to the museum. Further - on foot.

The places here are picturesque, I advise you to get off at the Church of John the Baptist, built in 1902. The scaffolding only slightly spoils the impression:

Having walked a little along the road to the museum, we will meet, so to speak, the first signpost:

Then everything is clear: we must move forward. After 5 minutes of walking, the visitor will reach the main entrance:

The museum, as I understand it, is located on the territory of the former pioneer camp. There are three closed rooms with vehicles (mainly cars and armored personnel carriers), several sheds and, finally, just fences behind which the vehicles stand in the open.
The first thing the visitor will see is the old remains of various equipment, for example, the cabin from Sturmgeschutz III.

Then you can go to the first building and look at the vehicles (I will publish photos from the buildings in the next post). On the way, you will meet an anti-aircraft searchlight station of the 3-15-4B type (based on the ZiS-12, produced from 1938 to 1942, 15529 units were produced). Exactly the same car is in Moscow on Poklonnaya Hill, only better preserved:

The museum has not only military equipment and cars, but even a boat:

This is a representative class boat "Moscow", launched back in 1935. On this boat in 1937, Stalin and his entourage performed the opening ceremony of the Moscow Canal. In the same year, the boat was sent to serve in the Far Eastern Military District, where it served until 2007, after which it was transferred to the museum.

Then you can go to the third building. You can go behind it and look at the sad Soviet concept cars:

On the wall behind them, of course, there is some information, but, obviously, not about all the cars. Yes, and reading it from the wall is very inconvenient: small. And there are no signs.

Interesting cars:

They just look very abandoned. It's like being in a car yard.

There is also a shooting range here, you can shoot from various weapons. Even from something like this:

Then you can go to the equipment standing under the canopies. There is a lot of equipment, mostly, of course, the kind that can be seen in any Russian military museum. Therefore, I don’t post her photo, I post what seemed most interesting.
(also a camera, a shaitan-pipe, began to discharge after visiting the first two buildings, so it was necessary to save the battery ...)

The bus below is ZIL-118K "Youth", produced from 1961 to 1994. In total, about 100 units were produced. The bus was comfortable, executive class. Such machines worked in a special purpose garage, in the garages of the Intourist Hotel, the Ministry of Defense and others. government organizations high level.

I took the next photo mainly for the sake of the Japanese Type-97 "Chi-Ha" tank. But in a strange way they placed it here, stern to the audience, and even pushed it further away. But you can look at the muzzle of the BTR-40.

Truck Citroen T-45, France. Produced from 1933 to 1953. In total, 72 thousand trucks were produced, of which 35 thousand were used in the Wehrmacht:

American tractor Diamond T-969A. Produced from 1941 to 1945, 6420 units produced. It was supplied to the USSR under Lend-Lease. A rare exhibit, the only one in Russia:

Fire truck OM CL51 Feuerwehr Witterswil, Italy. 1950

Caterpillar fire truck GPM-54 (Russia), produced since 1977. Designed to extinguish fires of a high class of complexity in extreme conditions:

A prototype self-propelled electronic warfare system based on the T-72 tank, Russia. The task of the complex was to provide counteraction to electronic systems for monitoring and controlling weapons in harsh climatic conditions. It was adopted in 1992, but then the Ministry of Defense abandoned its use:

At the entrance to the third building, there is a BM-13 on the Studebaker base on the left:

To the right are several tractors. For example, "Fordson-Putilovets" in 1928.

Let's move on to the next shed. From the edge, the visitor is met by snowmobiles without a sign:

Amphibious snowmobile A-3. Produced from 1964 until the mid-80s. Individual instances continue to work now:

ZIL-4904. The auger snow and swamp vehicle was designed to search for and evacuate crews of descent spacecraft. But due to the large dimensions and weight of the ZiL-4904, it was considered inappropriate.
(it seems that a dunno and his friends drove a similar car in the book "Dunno in a Sunny City"):

ZIL-49061 "Blue bird". Also, like the auger, it was intended for the search and evacuation of space crews. 14 cars were produced.

General photo: Soviet tanks T-34 and T-60.

Tow truck Scammel Pioner SV/2S, UK. During the Second World War, about 1600 vehicles were produced, some were transferred to the USSR under Lend-Lease:

Bussing-NAG type 4500 S, Germany. During the Second World War, 14813 trucks were produced.

Caterpillar tractor Cletrac High-Speed M2, USA. Made in the 1930s, mainly for the US Air Force. They could reach speeds up to 30 km / h.

German car "Horch" without a plate and in a dull state:

German searchlight Kystdefensionen Progektor Type G150K, produced since 1937:

A corner of old Soviet technology that needs restoration:

ZIL-49042, a prototype search and rescue vehicle. Released in 1972:

ZiS-485 BAV (USSR, 1950-62). The amphibian could carry 25 people or 2.5 tons of cargo:

Aerosleigh KA-30 (USSR, 1962-80s). Could accommodate up to 10 passengers. AT summer time could be equipped with floats and used as high-speed vessels:

Light multi-purpose aircraft AN-2 (USSR, 1947-1971). Over 18,000 units produced. Also produced under license in China:

Tractor BTS-4, USSR. It was developed on the basis of the T-44M tank in 1967:

Wheeled bulldozer BKT, USSR. He was introduced to the engineering troops in the early eighties:

Next - a few more exhibits that require restoration. Here is the "Victory" in good condition:

Can't say the same for other cars. Yes, and they stand somehow completely forgotten, abandoned, in thick grass:

More:

It seems GAZ "Ataman":

Some bus with a sign "for restoration":

Another row of Soviet guns not far from the exit.

And finally - the amphibious non-aerodrome aircraft "Ekip". A new word in aviation technology, practically a flying saucer. The only question is when such devices will be widely used:

This concludes the review of the external exposition of the museum. In another post I will publish a photo from the museum buildings.

Have you heard about the Military Technical Museum, which recently opened near the science city of Chernogolovka? The creators of the museum have done an incredible job to collect and restore amazing exhibits that can be seen just a few dozen kilometers from Moscow. A flying saucer, Stalin's armored car, the reliability of which he tested on living people, the movie hero's car directed by Yakin, and much more. We are glad that we got to know the museum staff, who know how to talk about their “brainchild” in such a way that one question arises: “Why didn’t I visit this museum before ?!”. We bring to your attention a small fascinating tour of the Military Technical Museum, written by its employees, after which, I am sure, you will have no doubts where to get out of Moscow this coming weekend.

Hello! We are glad to welcome you to the Military Technical Museum! One of the youngest museums in the Moscow region intrigues with its collection - we present the evolution of technical thought from a cart to a flying saucer. And now we will try to follow this path, which our exhibits have passed through an amazing thread of intricacies of history. Over 400 units different eras, factories, countries are collected in our museum. Even a simple listing of performance characteristics will take at least four hours. Therefore, we will focus on the iconic exhibits that have become an event for a certain time.

Military Technical Museum in Chernogolovka

So let's start over.

Tachanka

All our ideas about it are connected with history. civil war in Russia. But the prototype of the combat unit appeared much earlier: 1200 chariots supported the infantry ancient egypt. But our cart is a completely different story, a completely different tactical application and a completely different design. This is exactly what she was in service with the Red Army until 1956 and she was called in the regulatory documents - a combat machine-gun cart for cavalry units. The skeleton that came to our restoration workshops was only the outlines of the once famous combat unit: half-decayed wooden parts, many of which are lost, rusty and cracked metal components. It was possible to restore the design only according to the original drawings, which we, as a result of a long search, found at the Serdobsky plant in the Penza region. Our efforts were crowned with success only after a year of difficult work of our craftsmen. And now all the elements are ready and painted, the structure is assembled, the machine-gun frame is installed. By the way, at the beginning of the 20th century, two types of machine guns were installed: the Lewis machine gun or the Maxim machine gun. But the choice was left to the “maxim”: it was stable when firing from a standard machine, gave good accuracy and allowed very accurate fire control. So, the design is ready, now we had to make sure that our cart is a real combat unit. For testing, we first harnessed a couple of horses. But it turned out that the weight of a equipped and equipped unit, the mass of which is more than a ton, they can only “pull” on a good road, a cart with a couple of horses stood on the field. We added a couple more - and our cart flew!

Frankly, there are not so many such carts. The rumor about ours immediately spread to all collectors and specialists. A year of difficult work, mistakes and unexpected technical discoveries culminated in a well-deserved event - the tachanka was invited to participate in the November Parade on Red Square. And on November 7, 2010, our cart received a well-deserved applause from all participants and spectators of the parade. And for six years now, the tachanka restored by us is a constant participant in festive historical parades, theatrical reconstructions of the hostilities of the First and Second World Wars and an exhibit from which our exposition begins.

ZiS 110B

Our next story about an amazing car is the ZiS 110B. Famous ZiS. Despite the fact that these cars were produced for a very short time - from 1949 to 1957 - they became a symbol of the post-war life of the country of the Soviets. They owed their appearance to Stalin. It was he, with his characteristic ambitions, who demanded that the designers create a "Soviet Packard". We will not go into details of the entire "Zisovsky" family - there are many twists and turns, we will focus on our ZiS-110B with a phaeton body. For 8 years, the Likhachev plant, in those years named after Stalin, produced a little more than 40 units of such machines. The history of our car is perhaps one of the most interesting. We found this ZiS at the Sverdlovsk film studio in those difficult times when the entire film industry was on the verge of bankruptcy. The car was almost completely dismantled as well. It was missing a starter, radiator, signals, radio, clock, knobs and switches, and there is no need to talk about the case! In general, this skeleton could hardly be called a car. But this is the same handsome filmmaker oh, who starred in the film " Faithful friends"and it is in it in famous movie“Ivan Vasilievich is changing his profession,” director Yakin sat so proudly and imposingly. In general, short negotiations and the car was transferred to the museum. The film studio employees themselves understood that they would not be able to provide the car with proper care and restoration. Taking responsibility for the car, we had to dig into the original drawings and documents more than once in search of information. And this digging in the archives revealed to us another interesting fact in the biography of the machine. It turned out that before her “cinema” part of her life, she served in the military in the Urals military district. And these were just those years when the commander of the district, by order of the then minister armed forces Nikolai Bulganin, Zhukov Georgy Konstantinovich was appointed. This ZiS 110B was the marshal's parade car. We decided to restore this part of the car's biography by changing the black "cine" color to gray-turquoise. Just this color, coinciding with the color of the marshal's overcoat, was chosen for the ceremonial phaetons.

And so the restoration work began. We completely went over the engine, restored the body. Many elements of interior fittings, floor carpeting, awning, logos, moldings and handles - we had to make anew, based on the drawings and knowledge of specialists. The work lasted four years. But the more our pride is that our museum ZiS 110B phaeton is one of the best cars of this series, which has retained, in addition to complete authenticity, its excellent driving performance. Today, this machine is a participant in many solemn parades, representing not only the era, but also the Military Technical Museum.

Aircraft "EKiP L2-3", 1993 onwards

Aircraft

One of the most amazing exhibits of our museum is the non-aerodrome amphibious aircraft EKiP. I can proudly say that only our museum exhibits this unique project Design Bureau of Lev Nikolaevich Shchukin. You can talk a lot about the disadvantages of the so-called period of stagnation, but this is absolutely not about technical thought. The development of such an aircraft in the 80s of the last century turned out to be so unusual and progressive that even today it remains the pinnacle of engineering genius. And even the name itself speaks of this: EKiP - ecology and progress. This is the meaning that Lev Shchukin put into his brainchild. The development, which began in the last century, still excites the minds of designers around the world, because it was not for nothing that prudent Americans, having barely learned about the project, offered one and a half million dollars for it. Soviet designers considered this proposal incorrect - this is OUR project.

And the history of its appearance in the museum is as follows: in 2010, it was proposed to transfer the aircraft to the museum in connection with the dissolution of the Saratov Aviation Plant. The citizens of Saratov were afraid that in this hustle and bustle the only multifunctional aircraft in the world could be simply sawn up and scrapped. But the transfer process was very difficult. collect all Required documents and signatures were needed at all enterprises involved in the development and manufacture. These include the Saratov Aviation Plant, the Triumph research and production enterprise, the Korolev Energia rocket and space corporation, the Saturn association, the Progress machine-building design bureau, the Professor Zhukovsky Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute, the Institute of Geodesy and actually aviation concern "EKiP". I assure you that I have not listed all the instances. And there is no need to talk about the geography of their location! So we have covered a lot of miles.

And finally, on March 21, 2011, the E&P, divided into 3 components for transportation, arrived at the Military Technical Museum in the village of Ivanovskoye. The exhibition site was determined in advance, since it is not easy to collect such a scale and weight, all installation work was carried out directly at the place where this handsome man still stands now.

On the grand opening exposition April 2, 2011 was attended by the Head of the Noginsk municipal district, the President of the research and production company "EKiP" Anatoly Ivanovich Savitsky and the designer of EKiP Semyon Mikhailovich Zelvinsky. And in 2014, we managed to organize a meeting with academician, professor Rostislav Mikhailovich Pushkin, who worked in a team, developing a unique engine.

This aircraft is not just an exhibit with the history of the development of scientific and technical thought, it is that rare case when the museum speaks not about the past, but about the future, the idea itself is so progressive. After all, EKiP is a fundamentally new aircraft with unique performance and properties. It is designed to transport goods and passengers and can be used without problems in remote areas of the planet, for example, in the Far North. It is indispensable for reconnaissance and patrolling, use in emergency situations: rescuing people on the water, extinguishing forest fires. In addition, it was planned to use latest development- aquazine, fuel for 70% consisting of water.

So that this project is not forgotten, we are developing our own projects. The plans include the construction of a new exhibition pavilion, which will present the EKiP itself and the history of its creation in photographs, details and drawings. We will do our best to make our E&P not just a museum exhibit, but a magnet that attracts the modern technical thought of young people.

ZIL-4105, manufactured in 1983

ZIL-4105 is the famous government armored vehicle, which is so amazing in terms of protection that even the Americans were able to repeat the level set by Soviet designers only at the beginning of this century.

The issue of protecting the first persons of the state and preventing possible assassination attempts has not lost its relevance since the end of the 19th century. It was then that the first armored carriages appeared. Then new round years of Stalin's rule. This is precisely the story connected with this time, when Iosif Vissarionovich decided to “test” the reliability of his new ZiS 115 armored vehicle. He invited the designers to get into the car. A platoon of machine gunners was built in front of the car, and they opened heavy fire on it. Fortunately for the designers, their calculations turned out to be correct and the ZIS-115 “without victims” was approved by the commission. During the years of the "thaw" of the reign of Nikita Sergeevich Khrushchev, such cars were not made, he preferred to ride in convertibles.

But 1969 will present serious requirements for the quality of safety. In January of this year, there will be an assassination attempt on Brezhnev. No one from the officials will be seriously hurt, but one of the 11 bullets fired from the pistols of a lone terrorist on a ZIL-111G government car will cause the death of the driver.

Development to improve the reservation will begin at the Likhachev plant. The work will be supervised by the Chairman of the KGB Yu.V. Andropov. And our designers will choose a completely new security technology at that time: instead of the traditional armor of the roof and doors, it will be decided to use a one-piece armored body. The so-called "armored capsule" was welded at the Kurgan plant, and then a car was assembled on its basis! Such a design is absolutely impossible in mass production. So every car is a hand-made assembly. A total of 25 were assembled, of which two - with chassis numbers 001 and 002 - were intended for testing. The car with 001 passed all sea trials, and our car with chassis number 002 was intended for firing tests. She survived under the bullets of the Dragunov rifle, bullets with a heat-strengthened core of the AKM assault rifle, armor-piercing incendiary bullets, they could not destroy the car and the grenades exploded on the roof and under the gas tank. But the test of time proved to be difficult. After passing all the tests, the car was forgotten for almost 20 years in the bins of one of the Zilovsky workshops. In the early 2000s, when the dismantling of many factory sites had already begun, the dismantled car ended up in a museum. The process of restoration of any car begins with its study and careful study of all engineering documents. And the restoration of an armored car weighing more than 5 tons is a completely different experience, a completely different technology. In addition to the fact that the necessary preliminary disassembly required the "participation" of the crane, many of the lost components, once made according to the original drawings, had to be not only restored, but made anew. It turned out that all the systems in the car were redundant: two batteries, two fuel pumps, two electrical circuits, two brake systems. As a result, we carried out a complete restoration of the engine, made the missing decorative elements and restored the geometry of the body. It was deformed during "shock" tests: the car crashed into a concrete wall at a speed of 60 km/h. The internal deformation of the car did not exceed one and a half centimeters! We needed to carry out all the restoration work without the slightest changes in the design. Otherwise there would be a change specifications a machine that is so clearly calibrated in its driving performance that this armored monster, even on flat tires, moves at a speed of 160 km / h! And the ease of turning a five-ton six-meter colossus is comparable to turning a small car.

In March of this year, our fully restored car with preserved traces of bullet tests took part in the exhibition “Special Purpose Garage. 95 years in the service of the Fatherland.

We took a closer look at only a few exhibits of our museum. But the collection on the examples of machines reveals more than a century of development of world technical thought. Handsome Fords - the entire line of the early 20th century with indices from "a" to "T". Look at them - Henry Ford himself did not even imagine that his model, nicknamed "tin Lizzie", would become a legend. And we are also proud that our collection is not just a body on wheels, but working cars that delight our visitors with the sound of the engine during theatrical and thematic events.

In everyday life, the phrase "search and rescue equipment" is practically not used. Unless we can say "all-terrain vehicle." And in our museum, this is the name of a whole collection of machines of the design bureau of the Likhachev plant. Vitaly Andreevich Grachev is the author of this line of amazing machines. It is to him that the lines of Andrei Voznesensky are dedicated. Ah, Grachev - a driver, a legend, a Tomsk !. It was about him that the film “The Outrageous Designer” was shot, and it was the Americans who chased his drafts, offering huge money for a scratched-out sheet of paper. Look, here it is - the world's only auger snow and swamp vehicle in 1972. ZIL-4904 was seen by the creators as the top of the lineup, the machines of which should be used by search and rescue services, geologists, oilmen, researchers of the Far North - everyone who deals with total off-road. Here, in this line, there are “amphibians”, and “strongman” - ZIL-135 LM, and the only snowmobile ZIL-E167, with a load capacity of 5 tons.

You do not know how to tell children about the war? Or maybe show and tell? Here is the famous "thirty-four a" - the Pobeda tank, but GAZ - the Lorry, one and a half tons of cargo is being carried. These are the beauties produced before the war. And here, look, the same car, only this is already a war, the factories have been evacuated. The design was simplified as much as possible, they even abandoned the front brakes - “a cart with a motor,” the fighters said. But repair is easy and fast. But the French light tankettes Renault and Lorraine. An amazing design to help infantry units. Tractor-transport with a carrying capacity of almost 2 tons and a speed of 70 km / h! And this is the Japanese light tank Ha-Go. He is in working order. In the workshops they put it on the move, and now it is bravely carrying its 37-mm cannon at a speed of 45 km / h.

And there are hundreds of such stories on the history of the world automotive industry in our museum. And if you are tired or simply gravitate towards lyricists more than physicists, then we have a lot of interesting things for you. wooded coast of our pond creates a truly lyrical atmosphere. By the way, they confess their love here. And for children, we conduct military sports programs, training master classes. It is for them that an interactive platform has been organized where you can play on real military equipment, imagining yourself as a brave fighter of the Red Army. Hungry? The field kitchen is always ready to support the soldiers' morale with a lunch in a real field tent. Not a single fighter has resisted buckwheat porridge with stew yet!

Come to the Military Technical Museum to continue our audio acquaintance!
