Exhibition 57 pavilion. Multimedia historical park "Russia - my history"

From October 1 to December 15, 2018 Moscow historical park(Pavilion 57 VDNKh) is closed for renovation.

Pavilion 57 of VDNKh houses the historical park "Russia - My History", created on the basis of multimedia historical expositions that were held with great success in the Moscow Manege.

This unique multimedia platform will allow you to touch the amazing and unique world of Russian history. The historical park is located in the pavilion of the legendary VDNKh, revived by the decision of the Moscow Government. The exposition materials of the My History cycle occupy more than 22,000 square meters and are located on 2 tiers of the pavilion.

The creators of the park are historians, artists, cinematographers, designers and specialists in computer graphics- did everything to make Russian history move from the category of a black-and-white textbook to a bright, fascinating and at the same time objective narrative.

All forms of information media are presented in the historical park: touch tables and screens, spacious cinemas, light boxes, collages, projectors, tablet computers and much more. In preparing the exposition, video infographics, animation, 3D modeling and digital reconstructions were used.

The expositions "Rurikovichi" and "Romanovs" will be opened first. In April 2016, the third exposition of the cycle "My History" - "From great upheavals to the Great Victory" will open, covering the period from 1914 to 1945. The fourth exposition of the project, dedicated to the period from 1945 to 2000, will take its place in the historical park in 2017.

The audience of the historical park will be primarily young students, as well as all those interested national history. Historical clubs and youth lecture halls will also be created here.

Children are important and need to be developed, but this must be done in game form and then they will themselves seek knowledge. The historical park "Russia - my history" is just the place where you can spend time usefully and at the same time exciting. Oh, what my children just didn’t do here, but they were extremely interested. And they watched movies, and lay under the dome, and read documents. It is very good that there are places where you can rest, and there is also a cafe where you can also have a bite to eat. We managed to master two exhibitions "Romanovs" and "From Great Shocks to Great Victory" in one day.

I am glad that you can visit the Historical Park "Russia - My History" at a very affordable price. At first, my husband and I went to understand how interesting such an exhibition would be for a child. Most the best way is to book a tour. Information is provided in a dosed manner and only to the most important points emphasis is placed. True, the guide is still professionally unable to cope with the children. Here it is important to be able not only to interest them from the very beginning, but also to keep their attention until the end of the tour. Either way, my daughter was happy. There were many stands that interested her and she asked questions. At home, we discussed what we saw and heard for a long time. True, they came to the conclusion that it is still necessary to go.

We are also glad that the beautiful Historical Park "Russia - My History" has opened, which is useful to visit with children. For the first time we got acquainted with the exhibition without a guide. Arrived at opening and left just before closing. But everyone left under a great impression and all the way we discussed what we saw. Our son is 15 years old, most of all he liked the stands “Do you know?”. Somewhere he was proud that he knew enough, but somewhere he was upset, because there were facts that were not in the textbook and the teacher did not voice this. He was also amazed that so many discoveries were made in different industries. It is wonderful that our children now have the opportunity to get acquainted with history in this format.

Recently, I also visited the Historical Park "Russia - My History". And although many people say that the project is more aimed at the youth layer, I was also very interested. In general, I love everything related to history, and when everything is framed like that, it’s generally wonderful - you can see how much effort and work has been invested! I especially like the very first exhibition “Rurikovichi”, I don’t even know why my soul has become attached to it).

I think that the Historical Park "Russia - My History" is ideal for hiking with children. We have recently moved to Moscow, but have already managed to visit with my son the exhibition “From Great Shocks to Great Victory”. History textbooks give a minimum of information about great battles, generals, ordinary soldiers, nurses, partisan detachments. Few people know about our cavalry units, some of which played a huge role in the battles. For example, the 81st Cavalry Division was able to hold the enemy during the Battle of Stalingrad. I liked our guide. He spoke taking into account the fact that there were quite a lot of children. The son came out thoughtful. I was just wondering if he liked it? He said that very much and asked us to go again.

If you want to learn the history of your Fatherland and at the same time not yawn, looking at your watch, then you definitely need to get into the Historical Park "Russia - My History". This place will tell you about our past in such a simple and fascinating way that you will not notice how time has flown by. Not so long ago I visited the exhibition "Rurikovichi" - I could not even imagine how significant this period was for us. The exhibition is very well organized, I like to wander by myself, so the audio guide is very handy. The price can be said ridiculous, especially after St. Petersburg rates). Multimedia innovation is very welcome.

The need to create a permanent platform is confirmed by the figures: the exhibitions of the My History project were visited by more than 1.5 million people in 7 cities of the country. The pavilion, where the exposition moved, was built according to the project of I. Vinogradsky, V. Zaltsman, V. Doktorovich, Berklaid, A. Belyaev and A. Levenshtein in 1967. Until 1992 it was called "Products consumer goods».

Why are the exhibitions of Pavilion 57 so interesting? The creators themselves call the site a historical park. Indeed, there are no usual museum exhibits “behind glass”. And, walking through the halls, you literally move from one era to another.

New multimedia technologies, films specially shot for exhibitions and a "live" tape of time transform Russian history on an exciting journey. You will learn:
- Was the route from the Varangians to the Greeks really the most important?
- Rurik's vocation to rule Russia: truth or myth?
- Why was it necessary to baptize Russia?
- Battle on the Ice: a beautiful legend or a historical fact?
- Who benefited from the rumors that Ivan IV killed his son?
- The mysterious death of Tsarevich Dmitry: what do we really know about it?
- Why did riots overwhelm the country during the reign of the "quietest" king?
- Why did Peter I have to take power by force?
- What are real reasons Alaska sales?
- Russian economic miracle: myth or reality?
- Who benefited from the Revolution of 1917?
- Who actually won the world wars?

Now there are 3 expositions in the park: “Rurikovichs”, “Romanovs”, “1917-1945. From great upheavals to the Great Victory.

The last exhibition opened on May 2, 2016 as a gift to Muscovites and guests of the city in honor of the Great Victory Day. The opening of another exhibition is planned - about the life of Russia from 1945 to 2000.

Each thematic section is accompanied by historical documents from the archives of the Russian Federation, some of which were previously classified as "secret". Historical facts expositions are cleared of ideological assessments. And not only historians and artists worked on the creation of the exhibition, but also filmmakers, designers, and computer graphics specialists. The exhibitions "Romanovs" and "Rurikovich" have mobile application for iOS.

In general, a walk through the pages of history can take several hours, so in each hall you can find cozy poufs to take a break, and even better - admire the full-dome broadcast. In any case, you will want to return to the historical park.

From December 24, 2018, visitors to the historical park "Russia - My History" in pavilion No. 57 will be able to see new interactive exhibits, multimedia installations, applications on historical plots and themes.

The section " Interesting Facts» Soviet period: 150 new certificates received a fresh visual design. The format of multimedia books, beloved by many, has been replenished with carriers dedicated to the development of Siberia, ancient Russian weapons, folk crafts, lost shrines, royal fashion, court etiquette at different times. Each book contains dozens of "live" pages.

After the opening, visitors to the exhibitions of the historical park will be able to see new collages dedicated to ancient Russian culture, estates Russian Empire, culture of the XX-XXI centuries. special attention deserves a stand telling about the contribution ordinary people in Great Victory, about labor and military exploits in the rear.

One of the most voluminous exhibits of the updated exposition was the "Romanov Tree" and the full "Rurik Tree". It took several months to create them. And specifically to test the knowledge, for example, of school groups who regularly visit the historical park, quizzes were collected to prepare for the Unified State Examination in addition to the existing ones: about the expansion of the borders of the Russian land in different centuries, as well as about the Russian tile - a world-famous form of decorative applied arts.

As an experiment, new exhibits with a light projection appeared in the exposition. So, for example, in the hall dedicated to Yaroslav the Wise, you can see barrels that help to visually compare the diets of Old Russian and modern man. familiar to everyone sauerkraut, pickles, pickled apples, lingonberries and kvass will appear before visitors in the form of projections with infographics from the history of Russian cuisine in the Middle Ages.

Ever since the school bench, history seems not the most interesting science. I remember that we were tediously told about key events and dates from the life of the country and the world. I still remember some historical episodes, for example, the date of the Baptism of Russia or the Battle on the Ice, though I won’t tell you the details. So, every time, walking on the territory of VDNKh, I passed by the exhibition "Russia - my history" - as it turned out, in vain. It completely turned my idea of what historical science is like.

How to get there

The nearest metro station is "VDNKh". After exiting the subway, move towards the exhibition. The Cosmos Hotel can serve as a reference point, you need to move in the direction from it. The park is located near the monument "Rocket" Vostok ".

The historical park "Russia - My History" is located in the restored pavilion 57 of VDNKh. Its area is 22,000 square meters and it is designed for a simultaneous visit of 5,000 people. The exposition will include 3 exhibitions dedicated to different periods history of Russia.

The exposition is open Tue-Sun from 10:00 to 20:45. Monday is a public holiday in the park. Attention! All ticket offices close one hour before the park closes.

The exhibition "Rurikovich" covers the period (736 years) from the birth of Russia to the collapse of the last ruler of this glorious family - Fyodor Ioannovich. "The Romanovs" covers the entire period of being at the throne of this city, up to the execution of Nicholas II and his family. Another exposition was opened in 2018, it is called “XX century: two exhibitions in one”.

What distinguishes a historical park from an ordinary museum? First, the scale: the dimensions are really impressive. Secondly, technical equipment: at the exhibition you can watch multimedia canvases that seem to come to life, see a graphic reconstruction of the largest battles or learn little known facts relating to certain periods. Thirdly, the structure of information. You can explore short reviews or "dig into" the details of any significant event.

It should be noted that the exhibition space is built quite ergonomically and at the same time it is extremely interesting. The environment gradually immerses you in the historical concept. Many of the installations are interactive and allow you to take part in the ongoing events - of course, this is a huge plus for the children's audience. Also in the park there are small cinema zones scattered along the route of the exposition. The videos are dedicated to the most significant events and last from 3 to 5 minutes. The demonstration takes place in a cyclic mode so that each visitor can see the video sequence from beginning to end.

Every Tuesday and Thursday from 10.00 to 11.00 there is a promotion in the park - free admission for everyone. Details can be clarified by phone or on the project website.

Separately, it must be said about the public area of the atrium exhibition complex. There is a spacious amphitheater with a multimedia zone in which famous personalities perform. There is also a cafe where you can have a bite of traditional Russian cuisine, which, by the way, includes syrniki. Yes, this is our national dish.

In short, in general:

  • great place to visit with kids;
  • for a full inspection of the exposition, almost a full day is required;
  • scale and historical grandeur are amazing.
