tightrope walker mouse

(a fairy tale to help in the fight against children's fears)

Once upon a time there lived a little mouse Petya with his wonderful family - his wife Anechka and seventeen mice. He carefully raised his family, and the mice answered him with love and devotion. One day, the youngest son, the Seventeenth Mouse, came to Petya and said that he wanted to become a tightrope walker. Our Petya praised his son for such a beautiful dream: not a single mouse in the history of mouse science has become a circus performer in such a role.

Then the Seventeenth asked the pope for advice. He was worried about one thing - how to stop being afraid to fall, because this is the most important thing in the tightrope walker's profession. For a dexterous, nimble, light mouse does not have much difficulty to slip quickly along the rope. It is much more difficult not to look down into the gaping emptiness of the auditorium, where the excited audience sits and not ask yourself: “Can I do it?”

Mouse Petya told his son: “Go boldly along the tightrope and remember - you are the best tightrope walker in the world, you will succeed. Don't stop, don't look down, don't consider how far you've gone, how much you still have to go, and whether the rope is too high. In one book, son, I read: "the road will be mastered by the walking one." Because the one who doubts - he is afraid and gets stuck on the road, does not move on. Fear paralyzes, debilitates, does not give joy from the thought that you get everything that you have in mind.

The seventeenth mouse listened to his dad and began regular rope training. He was willingly accepted into the circus troupe, because such a number has never been shown in any circus in the world. The day of the premiere arrived. On the front row the best places the little mouse Petya, his wife Anechka and all their offspring with the exception of the Seventeenth tightrope walker were sitting. Finally, a solemn march began to play, the curtains opened and the audience saw a rope stretched under the dome of the circus, and then gasped at the sight of a tiny speck fearlessly running across it. Then a speck from the rope jumped over to the curtains descending to the floor, and jumped out onto the platform in front of the orchestra.

With a beating heart, the little mouse Petya and Anya recognized their son, dressed on the occasion of the premiere in a velvet, multi-colored suit. The seventeenth mouse deftly bowed, waved his paw at an enthusiastic roar of "Bravo!" to the audience and disappeared backstage, where joyful circus performers were already waiting for him. So the Seventeenth Mouse found his calling and became a tightrope walker.

Time has passed. The seventeenth traveled with his native circus almost the whole world. He was almost never at home, and the little mouse Petya and Anechka mainly learned about his life from the newspapers. Once the Seventeenth came to visit his parents and they were unpleasantly surprised by the change that had happened to him. He began to talk down with his parents, sometimes even taught them, began to shout at his brothers and sisters, showing with his whole appearance what an abyss was between them - where they were and where he was - a world celebrity.

Mouse Petya told him: “Son, an infection has entered your heart, pride, arrogance are not the best friends of courage and fearlessness. You became too arrogant, you decided that since you can do everything, you can do everything. But it's not! Be careful, my boy!" But Seventeenth only annoyedly shrugged at his father's notation.

Somehow, during the performance of a trick, a crazy thought flew into his head: “Can I do it? Can I make it to the end?" He immediately staggered and fell. Fortunately, he did not die, he caught on the curtain, but broke two paws and was very scared. He was very ashamed and did not want to see anyone. The seventeenth hid in his parents' house, where his kind mother, the mouse Anechka, nursed him. And the brothers and sisters did not mock him and did not tease him, although at one time he offended them with his arrogance.

When he recovered, he came to his father - the mouse Petya and asked him for forgiveness for his behavior and said that he would no longer perform in the circus as a tightrope walker - fear settled forever in his heart. And the mouse Petya told him: “You have been punished enough and I am sure that someday you will return to the circus again. Fear will pass from love and the desire to help someone. The seventeenth looked at him incomprehensibly, but his father did not add anything to his words.

A few months later, the room in the house where the mice lived caught fire. Little mouse Petya managed to wake Anya and almost all of his children and take them out into the yard. Seventeenth and one of the younger mice remained in the house - the weakest one, who managed to swallow smoke and could not move quickly. In addition, the floor was littered with pieces of falling furniture and burning wallpaper. The closet that stood by the open window remained intact. Without thinking twice, Seventeen grabbed his brother in the teeth and climbed onto the cabinet. From there, he fearlessly jumped out the window and jumped into the garden. Although he jumped from a considerable height, he did not even think to be afraid. And only in the garden did he realize that his fear of heights had passed. He went exactly as his father, the little mouse Petya, had told him.

Wonderful Rain of Love

Once upon a time, very happy people lived in a distant country. Why were they so happy? They did not have much wealth, their houses were very modest; they sometimes had a slight runny nose or suffered from a mild headache. But at the same time they were happy and satisfied, regardless of age, day of the week, weather or season. From what?

The fact is that the main wealth of this country was a huge feeling of Love. All the inhabitants of the country experienced it, a feeling of love literally overwhelmed their hearts - both for their own and for other people's children, and for each other. And how much the birds, and the fish, and the flowers, and the trees loved each other!

No, the inhabitants of the country were not ideal - sometimes they quarreled almost seriously, sometimes they pouted at each other because of some trifle - as much as half an hour. But they could not stand it for a long time - they began to laugh and wink at each other, and then they hugged and kissed joyfully and became friends again and did some kind of joint business.

They had wonderful holidays: firstly, weddings were celebrated almost all the time - everyone was invited to each wedding, everyone who was free that day. And I must tell you that in this country everyone loved each other so much that couples joined very often and weddings were celebrated almost every day!

Secondly, in the Land of Happiness, it was customary to celebrate the birthdays of all the children who were born, because the inhabitants rightly believed that every born baby is a gift from God not only for their parents, but for everyone.

Thirdly, the Day of Friendship and Consent, the Day of the Rainbow and the Day of the Sun, the Day of Laughter and Cool Jokes, the Day of Turtles, Bears, as well as the Day of Dogs, Cows and Penguins were also celebrated.

In a word, someone's holiday was celebrated every day. Moreover, the gift could be just a good word said to the birthday man, or a dance or song performed in his honor, or some hand-made craft.

You ask, has it always been so fun to live in this country? No, absolutely not. There were times when residents constantly quarreled, scolded, did not want not only to work together, but even to live together under the same roof.

Many couples got divorced because of this, and some - it's even scary to say - did not love their children! Some residents seemed to like each other, but could not understand how they relate to each other, because they did not know then what Love is!

It was quite boring in this country, it was cloudy and cold all the time, because nature always feels the state of the people and animals around it. Haven't you noticed that as soon as we smile, the sun immediately appears through the cloud? Try it and see for yourself!

The coldest of all was a little girl named Miranda. She had a kind heart, of course, she did not quarrel with anyone, but she was often lonely, it seemed that no one loved her, no one wanted to be friends with her. Sometimes she wanted to cry, feel sorry for herself.

Once Miranda sadly walked through the forest and saw a little old woman in a neat handkerchief. Miranda saw that the old woman was gathering brushwood, but she was already tired, her eyesight was bad, and the brushwood was constantly falling out of her hands. Without hesitation, Miranda rushed to her aid. She gathered all the brushwood and escorted the old woman home. She invited the girl to come in for tea.

In the house of the old woman, Miranda noticed one thing that struck her - it was warm and cozy in it. Tea was brought by a well-groomed kitty, who approached the hostess and rubbed lovingly on her knees; the shaggy dog brought raspberry pies, joyfully wagging his tail, and received his portion of the master's tenderness; in the cage a little yellow canary sang heartily, also wanting to please its hostess.

After drinking tea, Miranda thanked the old woman and got ready to go home. But she stopped her and asked: “Why are you so sad, my child? Why don't you ask me anything for your help?" Miranda sighed sadly.

I need nothing. It's just sad when you see how everyone in your house loves each other so much. And we don't see that. I wish everyone in our country loved each other as much as they do in your house.

The old woman smiled, but I must tell you that it was not an easy old woman, and the good Fairy said:

You are a kind girl and deserve an award. Here is a jug for you, but you will open it only when you return home. And your wish will come true.

Miranda did just that. And when she opened the jug, a warm Miraculous Rain escaped from there. A wonderful rain washed the earth. Where its droplets fell, magic flowers grew, inside of which droplets of Love shimmered.

And everything in the country magically changed: all the inhabitants of the country felt how the feeling of love literally overwhelmed their hearts - both for their own and for other people's children, and for each other. And how much the birds, and the fish, and the flowers, and the trees loved each other!

Many couples immediately appeared who wanted to live together and soon, of course, many children were born with joyful and cheerful faces! Their laughter literally transformed the whole country - more and more flowers bloomed around with drops of love and the sun was constantly shining. What a fog or cold! Everyone even forgot that this happens. The real Land of Happiness.

That's what happened thanks to the little girl Miranda, who wanted everyone to know what Love is, wanted to make others happy.

So that Love in the country would not end, a warm magical rain sometimes flew there, which the good Fairy sent to her favorite. When he washed all the inhabitants of the country with drops, they felt a new surge of love for each other.

Magic pipe

Once upon a time there lived in one country a girl named Ulya. Her parents died when she was very young and was raised by her old grandmother Dusya. The three-colored cat Taya and the one-eared dog Trifon lived with them. And Ulechka had a favorite godmother, who often visited the girl and gave her wonderful gifts, because she - we will tell you a little secret - was a good Fairy.

Unfortunately, the godmother had a lot to do, and sometimes she parted with her goddaughter for a long time and Ulya then missed her very much.

Ulya lived amicably with her grandmother Dusya - her grandmother taught Ulya to bake rhubarb pies, embroider with satin stitch and cross stitch, iron bed linen, darn socks, and most importantly, rush to help other people, especially if help was needed by older people or small children. Ulya had a good grandmother and Ulya also loved her very much.

But time passed, Ulechka grew up, and her grandmother slowly grew decrepit: soon she stopped going out, only sat on the porch and admired her granddaughter when the girl, having finished weeding in the garden, began to dance. The fact is that the blond Ulechka was very fond of dancing, and since she was very light and spontaneous, she danced wonderfully - like a little white fluff that easily flies out of the pillow with any movement. The neighbors rejoiced at Ulechka's dances - somehow everyone felt better at heart when looking at her.

Once Ulechka ran into her grandmother's bedroom in the morning and saw that her grandmother was so weak that she did not get out of bed and lay with her eyes closed.

Grandmother, dear, what is the matter with you? the girl screamed in fright.

Don't be afraid, my dear, I'll just leave you soon. It's time for me - I really missed my daughter, your mother.

Grandma, dear, don't die, I don't want to!!!

Do not cry, my swallow, this is normal - the elderly and old people always go to another world, but this is how it is conceived in nature - our whole life from birth to departure resembles the seasons: first we are born and grow, bloom like apple trees in spring.

Then, like summer, we bloom, fall in love, form pairs and give birth to children, as an apple tree gives birth to bulk apples. In the autumn of our life, our children grow, learn and become adults, like ripe apples - this is our harvest. Well, then the winter time comes - everything calms down, life slowly slows down, freezes - so we weaken, lose strength, subside, leave, and life continues again in our children and grandchildren.

No, grandma, no, I don't want that!

Grandmother Dusya kissed her granddaughter, closed her eyes and went away forever to her daughter.

Unfortunately, the godmother was not near the Hive at this time. She was taken in by distant relatives. They were not evil and fed and watered Ulya to the full, did not load them with work, but they had their own children, and they were not very worried about what Ulya felt. But they didn’t have enough real love, like their grandmother Dusi, for her.

In addition, they did not keep the tricolor cat Taya and the one-eared dog Tryphon and gave them to other people, and Ulya missed them very much.

And gradually an evil longing attacked Ulya, she began to lament, complain about life, even began to curse her fate - they say, why is it so good for everyone, but she has no one and nothing left - no one loves her, she is very lonely and no one needs . And now Ulechka's eyes were always in a "wet place", and a smile never appeared on her face. It became very boring for her to live, everything fell out of her hands, she did not want to do anything.

Ulechka, dear, I just don’t recognize you, ”she once heard the distressed voice of her godmother, who had been absent from their country for several months and did not know that Ulechka had lost her grandmother and was living with relatives.

It’s not my fault, dear godmother, it’s just that no one needs me, I’m so lonely - that’s why I became bored, uninteresting, I don’t want to do anything - and there’s no one for me!

Poor girl, of course I understand how hard it is for you. But you need to shake things up, slowly return to life. Only you can help yourself. Tears and complaints of grief will not help. Remember, dear, how you used to love to dance and sing - everyone started dancing, just hearing your cheerful songs.

And now - look around you, only frogs are croaking, gathering and echoing your dull moaning with their croaking.

But what to do? How can I help myself? How to become happy again?

Take it, dear - here are two figures for you - one will tell you wonderful stories and distract you from sad thoughts. The other will protect in case of any danger. And here's another magic star for you. It has amazing properties - it makes the one who holds it in his hands invisible. And with its help, you can instantly be where you want.

Thank you, dear godmother, - Ulya, who immediately cheered up, thanked her. She cheered up a little, strength again appeared in her, again she began to slowly tidy up the house, weed the weeds in the garden, wash and iron. And in her heart she began to hope that a miracle would happen soon and she would become happy again, as before.

Once Ulya went with her relatives to the market. They asked the price of homespun carpets, colorful shawls, and fur coats, desperately bargained for each new purchase, and Ulechka looked around and kept waiting for her life to change in some miraculous way instantly.

Suddenly she heard the sounds of a cheerful, very pleasant melody, which seemed to be calling her to follow. She ran out of the crowd and saw in the distance a boy in a clown costume, with a pipe in his hands. The boy sat on a chair and played the pipe. And a lot of people stood around him and listened to his game spellbound - everyone had enlightened faces, tears of tenderness appeared in their eyes.

The pipe was not easy, but magical. The melodies that the boy played reminded everyone of something good that happened in his life. If someone had a bad heart, the pipe healed and drove away sadness, took away vanity, anxiety and fear. But this is how it sounded in the hands of the boy - he was already visibly tired, but he played and played with abandon, without denying anyone spiritual help.

People came up and warmly thanked him for the game, saying that thanks to his pipe they felt young and full of strength again, and how good it was that he appeared in their lives, there would be more such people on earth.

Wow, - Ulya thought sadly, - but no one says such words to me. I try, I try, I do everything around the house, I help my relatives, and they take everything for granted, even if someone would say such a thank you to me ...

But you expect praise for your labors, don't you? Be honest, are you waiting? - Ulya suddenly heard the voice of her godmother, who, like all Fairies, had an amazing property to appear out of nowhere.

Of course, but doesn't everyone want this, want to be praised for their good deeds, appreciated?

Maybe so, but that's why they don't thank you sincerely like this little boy. Because you are trying for yourself, doing everything to be praised, but the boy does not think about it at all. He does not think about how to earn praise and become happy. - he just has no time to think about it, he is busy doing good deeds for others and just enjoying life every day ... That's it, my dear.

During their conversation, Ulya noticed a dog with a sore paw, which came running to the sound of music. She stood for a while near the boy, and then began to dance on her sore paw, after which she squealed with joy and sped away, forgetting that her paw had hurt recently. So the magic pipe could heal any disease, which Ulya was convinced of personally.

Ulya felt that for the first time in a long time she felt better at heart - she went up to the boy and met him.

What is your name?

Lyonka. And you?

Ulya.

Let's be friends.

Let's.

She wanted to ask Lenka more about the pipe, but her relatives called her, and she reluctantly ran to them. At home, she always remembered the melodies of the magic pipe and the words of the godmother, said to her at parting.

A week later, Ulya again asked to go to the fair with her relatives - she was eager to see Lenka. She rushed to the square where Lenka had played the last time. But the clown boy with the pipe was nowhere to be seen.

Then Ulya found out from the traders at the bazaar that Lenka played the pipe until late in the evening, and then he stumbled in the dark and badly hurt his leg. He did not attach any importance to this and the next day he again gathered in the square to play the pipe for everyone who needs his music.

But unfortunately the pipe disappeared - someone stole it. And now Lenka could not help either others or himself - his leg was swelling and swelling, some kind of infection must have got into the wound and the doctors were already going to take the leg away so that the infection would not spread throughout the body.

Ulya was very upset - she so wanted to help the little clown with a magic pipe. She called her godmother and she immediately came to her call. Hearing about her request, the godmother gave her a magic mirror - with its help it was possible to find any person or any missing thing. Ulya looked in the mirror and saw that the pipe was in the castle of King Lapidus.

He was already old, often ill and literally harassed his subjects with endless health complaints. All the money of the kingdom went to countless doctors and healers, who, like flies to honey, flocked to the calls of King Lapidus - he was very fond of being treated and trying new methods of therapy.

Therefore, his subjects, having learned about the healing properties of the magic pipe, decided to steal it for him.

Ulya stood on a magic star and was instantly transported to the castle of King Lapidus. There she appeared before the king and angrily demanded that he return the pipe, which was stolen from the little clown Lenka.

Lapidus grinned and said that he would return the pipe, but on condition that he received something of equal value in exchange.

Ulya nodded her head in agreement and clicked on the figurine, which could tell wonderful stories. King Lapidus listened to one, second, third story, peace bloomed on his face, and at the end he graciously nodded his head:

You can take your flute. I'm happy with this exchange. Go to the window, dear girl, and take your thing from that carved box with the royal crown.

Ulya already rushed to the window, but was stopped by a loud exclamation of the second figure:

Stand still, trusting soul! Near the window in the floor there is one layer of parquet, you will step on the parquet and fall into a hole with poisonous snakes!

Ay-yai-yai, Your Majesty, how ashamed of you! You gave your word, and also an elderly man, what kind of example are you setting for your servants? exclaimed the girl, struck by such treachery.

Well, forgive the old man, I wanted to do some harm - you might think that it doesn’t happen with you? Just fool around...

Wow prank!

It’s a pity, after all, to give away the pipe - all the ailments from it disappeared from me like a hand! Maybe you will give something else for her in return?

Okay, I'll give it. Just return the pipe first.

Reluctantly, the king handed her Lenkin's pipe. And she gave him a magic mirror. You ask - was it not a pity for her to give gifts to her godmother? Of course, it’s a pity, but what can you do - grandmother Dusya taught her that if you gave your word, you must fulfill it.

Ulya quickly grabbed a pipe and a figurine - a protector from dangers and stepped on a magic star. Instantly, she became invisible and was transported to the sick clown boy. She handed him a pipe, and he happily grabbed it and immediately began to play one of his favorite tunes.

Five minutes later he sat down on the bed, ten minutes later he put his feet on the floor, and ten minutes later he started dancing with Ulya. The leg became healthy again - the pipe healed it!

And Ulya felt happy - for the first time in a long time, because she helped a good person, without expecting any reward for herself. She was interested in life again - she had a new friend, and now Ulya was sure that she would have many of them!

Drop of Love

In one country there was once a magical city. What was he famous for? The fact is that completely different characters of favorite children's fairy tales flew to this city from other worlds - Shrek with Feona, and Malvina with Pierrot, and Cinderella with the Prince, and Beauty with the Beast, and Emelya with the Princess Nesmeyana, and Prince Gvidon with Princess Swan, and many, many others, including two bears.

Why two, you ask? There is a fairy tale about the "Three Bears?" Yes, because the "Three Bears" appeared only after they visited the magical city, exchanged bouquets of flowers, then got married and they had a little Mishutka.

You have already understood that in the magical city all the heroes of fairy tales ceased to be lonely and became very happy from this. After all, to stop being lonely, to become necessary to someone, to find friends and love - it's so great, don't you agree?

How did this miracle happen? The fact is that one wonderful boy named Petka - small, swirling, with a slightly hooligan, sly smile, smart eyes darting around, very naughty and not too patient, but who loves to chat, amaze everyone with his notions and jokes, he decided one day to make happy heroes of your favorite fairy tales. Luckily for us, Petka loved to read!

Somehow he did not like that they live rather boringly, do not communicate with each other, or communicate incorrectly and are not very happy. So he decided to intervene in the content of the fairy tale and change the plot - to try to make the heroes of fairy tales happy. And he succeeded...

How? That's how? He learned that in the center of the earth stretches a wonderful sea of Love - Petka borrowed a flying carpet from some familiar children for a day and hit the road to this sea. By the way, every child has a flying carpet, only with age, and even with poor care, it can be rubbed to holes - so you must definitely ventilate your flying carpet and not fly on it without special need!

So, our Petka collected a few drops from this sea, flew to the city, planted a beautiful rose bush on the main square and placed a drop of Love in it. Why a rose bush? Yes, everything is simple - all lovers love a rose, didn’t you know?

And so everyone who flew to this city inhaled the aroma of a beautiful rose bush, looked at a drop of Love and felt that something was happening to their souls - they want to laugh, cry, talk nonsense, run somewhere, make amazing discoveries - in a word, go a little mad... And of course, love, marry and form couples, because Love is the most wonderful madness in the world!

After staying in this city, Shrek and Feona got married, and a bear with a bear, and a donkey, who was Shrek's best friend at the wedding, soon also found a mate - a modest little donkey.

At first, a drop of Love was enough, but the heroes of fairy tales in love remained and remained, and she began to be missed. Then Petka came up with the idea of making copies of this droplet. How? There was just an agreement: everyone who got married had to plant a new rose bush as a keepsake, and a new drop of love would again appear in it by itself. Everyone thanked Petka for such a wonderful solution to their problem, and he was pleased - he made so many new friends!

Time will pass, Petka will grow up and will definitely find a nice girl for himself - he will come with her to a rose bush with a drop of Love and will definitely be happy! After all, the one who makes others happy, of course, deserves the same happiness himself!

A story about the power of love

A protected forest grows on a distant island. The forest sorceresses live in it - they are also called dryads. They love their trees, protect them - because the trees give them shelter. Dryads appear in a tree from the moment of its birth and accompany it to deep aging and natural death, like all life on earth.

And then the forest sorceresses are looking for a new tree - the dryads themselves are immortal. The appearance of the tree changes - the appearance of the dryad also changes. A young dryad lives in a young tree - thin, thin, with a thin, flexible waist and wonderful curly hair braided into several pale green braids.

As the tree grows older, so does the dryad. The tree grows, the trunk thickens, it's time to be covered with a series of deep furrows, a powerful crown proudly spreads out - a mature dryad already lives in the tree - tall, portly, stately, with thick hair styled in a dense green bun. Traces of experienced trials and anxieties were imprinted on her face. After all, trees have to experience a lot in life.

The tree is decrepit and its keeper is decrepit. Her back is hunched, her dark green hair sparkles with gray. The eyes squint blindly. She is wise, she knows and remembers a lot - after all, trees also know a lot, notice and remember.

One day they told us a story. There she is.

In the middle of the protected forest there is a large lake - very deep, sparkling in the sun, shimmering with turquoise. A wonderful magical tree grew near the lake, in the branches of which lived a beautiful sorceress named the Power of Love.

Of course, it was the most important tree in the forest - after all, what could be more important in the world of Love? When the Power of Love settled in the magic tree, the light in her golden crown made the forest feel warm and joyful. A young cow and a bull came to this world. They liked each other very much and fell in love with each other so much that a warm heart full of Love beat around them. The sorceress Power of Love placed the living heart in a wonderful chest for safety and covered it in the roots of a magic tree.

The sorceress instructed her assistants to guard the casket with a living heart - a symbol of Love - a magic turtle and a cute family of bears.

You ask, why protect Love? But what about - after all, Love is easy to hurt, it can freeze or fade from any evil word, not that from malicious intent!

From the great love of the bull and the cow, not only the heart began to beat - two more magical flowers bloomed, which shimmered with all the colors of the rainbow, and in the silence gently rang and fluttered from any movement of the playful breeze. Magic drops sparkled inside the flowers. Where did they come from and why didn't they disappear? The fact is that they were fed by the Lake of Love, so droplets of love appeared again and again in flowers. These droplets of love were given by a cow and a bull to everyone who was lucky enough to find this island.

On the shore of the Lake of Love, a wonderful magic shell was spread, in shape it resembled a palm outstretched for a friendly handshake. Those who touched her immediately forgot their grievances, stopped getting angry and felt a warm feeling of friendship in their hearts, sometimes turning into love - after all, sincere friendship is the younger sister of love, didn’t you know, dear friend?

One day, the dryad Power of Love woke up with a strong beating heart. She jumped up and saw an incredible picture: Lake of Love was covered with thick duckweed, and a shell split in half was lying, thrown far from the shore.

The casket was open, and the heart in it, although lying, was barely beating, very quietly and almost inaudibly.

What happened? exclaimed the frustrated sorceress.

While you were resting peacefully, a dragon with three heads and a pterodactyl flew to us. They whispered about something for a long, long time with the bull, after which he frowned and began to look gloomily at his cow, who wondered why her beloved fell into such a rage. And the dragon and pterodactyl, grinning maliciously, quickly flew away.

The bull sniffed for a long time, and then pounced on his cow and brutally gored her.

But why?

He shouted that now he knew the truth - she did not love him at all, but only pretended that her friends (I wonder which ones?) heard her tell the forest bells that she was tired of him and all that ...

After he offended the cow, Lake of Love turned into duckweed, and the shell split in half under his furious hooves.

Horrible! - exclaimed the Power of Love - from the anger that false friends instilled in him, his mind was clouded and he questioned the love of his girlfriend. I think I know who sent us the dragon and the pterodactyl. It looks like the tricks of my four-year-old sister - the Force of Envy. She hates me since childhood and always tries to ruin my life. I'm afraid she won't be satisfied with that.

And indeed, suddenly the magic tree of Love staggered, and with it the sorceress Power of Love almost flew to the ground. This angry goby tried to throw up a chest hidden in the roots of a tree with its horns in order to trample on a barely living heart.

We will not let you be offended, dear lady! shouted the turtle and the magic bears.

They heard the sound of wings and a dragon with three heads and a pterodactyl descended to the ground. The magic turtle, without hesitation, closed the chest with its shell, and the bears rushed into battle. They were so indignant at the insidious attack of the enemies that their strength increased tenfold. They scratched, bit, broke the wings, the heads of the enemies, and soon those, shamed and wounded, were forced to go home.

And our heroes celebrated a difficult victory.

When the fog of the battle finally dissipated, a ashamed, hushed goby timidly approached the magic tree and asked everyone present for forgiveness. And then guiltily rubbed his forehead against the warm side of his beloved. And, of course, she quickly forgave him, because when you love someone very much, how can you be angry with him for a long time?

Do you see what happens to Love when evil slander is poured on it? – asked the sorceress Power of Love in edification to the bull.

And then all the friends glued the shell together, cleared the Lake of Love from the duckweed and returned the casket to its place. And again, a living heart began to beat joyfully in it - a symbol of the love of a bull and a cow. And everyone was happy!

About the boy

Once upon a time there was a little boy, and he had a mother, the best in the world, because she always explained everything to him. And he asked her a variety of serious questions. "Mom," he said. "Where did I come from?" “My dear boy,” she answered. “Somehow for a very long time I looked at the clouds in the blue sky, and I saw a cloud that looked like you! I grabbed it and swallowed it. And after 9 months you were born exactly like that cloud with blue eyes!" "Mom," he asked. "Why is the grass green?" “Did you see the blue sky and the golden sun?” she asked in turn and took out paints: blue and yellow. “Look, if you mix them, you get green paint. and it turns green." "What makes it rain?" he shouted, running out of the garden in his boots. “And this sky waters mother earth, and she will give birth to greens, vegetables, fruits,” she laughed. "Why are you crying?" - Mom asked hugging him. "And I want to drink this dead beetle with tears," he answered through tears. "So that he would be born again." “It’s good that you cry about someone else’s grief,” my mother said. “It means you have a good heart. Never grieve and don’t cry about yourself, it’s better to think about your neighbor when your heart is heavy. And we will bury the beetle in the ground, and she will give birth to him. We must wait, and you will see how he flies by. " "Mom, mom," he called, breathless with delight, running into the house that same evening. "Mother Earth has already given birth to him! Here he is!" He opened his fist, but the beetle lay motionless. "Aah!" “You see, you grabbed him too tightly, he could not stand it and died. Be careful with others, remember that they can be weaker and more tender than you. Be especially careful to offend the human heart,” my mother taught, comforting him. "Mom, why do bees sting?" - the kid asked, rubbing his swollen cheek. "They sting to protect the honey and their hive," my mother answered. “So sometimes we protect the most precious thing we have.” The boy grew up and became a storyteller, he traveled to many countries, saw different peoples, saw the grief and happiness of others and described them in his fairy-tale books. His books were a little sad, but for some reason, they made my soul feel light, and he dedicated all the books to his mother, who once swallowed a cloud and after 9 months gave birth to a little boy who became a storyteller.

Tale of a little fist

There lived a small hand. It was a good hand! Warm, soft, with small deft fingers that were always doing something. Now they drew, then they held a spoon, then the hilt of a plastic sword, then they sculpted snowballs, then they kneaded the dough, then they washed themselves with soap. The palm lived well, it was fun. But somehow the palm clenched into a fist, and that fist swung at the mother of a little boy. Mom frowned, and the fist opened into a palm, which again became soft, warm and mobile. But another time, when the little boy did not like something, a fist appeared. And he no longer wanted to notice that his mother was frowning. He was so pleased that all the fingers gathered together, that he was so strong and hard. And the cam began to appear more and more often. And one day he hit his mother! Mom was angry, but the fist SO liked being strong and strong that he only got angry and began to wave around mom. He waved until he hit her. Mom cried out in pain, and the fist unclenched. He turned into a warm hand, but it was weak and hung like a rag while the boy looked at his mother leaving. But time passed .. and again the little fist got inflated and hit his mother. Hit very hard. Mom cried. But the fist did not want to unclench and feel sorry for mom. Mom left the room very, very sad. The fist joyfully soared in the air - he won! He is so strong and strong! But the little boy wanted to draw. But the fingers were tightly clenched into a fist and did not want to unclench at all. The boy decided to ride the cars - but the fingers hid in a strong fist and did not come out. The fingers did not come out either to take a spoon or to wash their hands with soap. And it didn’t work out for a walk, because the fingers couldn’t fit into the mitten, and it was very cold outside. The boy sadly sat down on the sofa and looked at the little fist. The fist did not want to unclench. The boy began to cry. He was crying softly. Because he knew that his mother would not feel sorry for him, because his little fist offended her so much!!! But mom still heard that her boy was ill. She came to him and took him on her knees. And hugged. The boy also hugged his mother, and began to stroke her with his clenched fist, and then the fist opened. And the joyful boy stroked his mother's hands, shoulders, hair. Since then, the cam has never appeared again. Because stroking my mother was more pleasant than raising a fist at her.

A fairy tale about a little princess who was very afraid of everything.

Once upon a time there was a little princess. She lived in her little house. She was a very kind, caring, beautiful little girl. She had many friends. Most of all, the princess loved to play with her favorite dolls. She especially loved her doll Katya. She put her to bed, rocked her, took her to kindergarten. She loved to walk in the woods, dance and laugh a lot.

But one day the little princess began to be afraid of everything. She was afraid of everything. She was afraid that something terrible might happen to her. “What if a fire starts now,” she thought. “What if I drown and choke in a huge puddle.” The whole world seemed to her terrible and full of dangers. The little princess ran into her house and locked herself there. The princess was so scared that she decided that she would never get out of there. But even in her house, she did not feel safe. The princess completely drooped. She was very scared and sad. And so it went on day after day.

One day her Fairy godmother came to her and said in a quiet magical voice: “I know what you are afraid of, my dear goddaughter. I will help you. Come with me." They went to the kitchen. The Fairy took out a transparent bowl and said: “You know, dear, everything that the Fairies cook becomes magical. Now we will prepare a wonderful drink with a magical property. Everyone who drinks it will have a small spark of bravery and courage inside themselves. And she began to cook. She put a beautiful bowl on the fire and filled it with pure water, then poured into it boiling seething joy, a pinch of courage, a handful of courage, fizzy cheerfulness. All this time, the Little Princess kept her eyes on the Fairy's magic work. When all this boiled, the little princess's eyes sparkled, and her breath caught. The godmother removed the cup from the fire, cooled it and gave it to the little princess with the words “Darling, drink this magic potion!”. The princess took the glass in her hands and drank it with joy. She couldn't wait to try it. And find out what it's like to be brave. When she drank it, she felt how a small fire flared up inside her, in her very heart, and from it she became warm, joyful, comfortable and reliable.

Then the godmother said, “Now you are ready. We can experience a wonderful drink." The sorceress took the Princess by the hand, and they flew to their friends. Friends gladly greeted them. They loved the Princess very much for her kind disposition. Then the fairy said that now the little princess can be left alone, and she needs to fly away on urgent business. And flew away. The princess stayed with her friends to play. And then everyone heard a voice - someone desperately called for help. The screams came from the street. All the guys ran out and saw that a small squirrel was drowning in a huge puddle. She choked and called for help, and it was clear that she was tired. But none of the guys rushed to help her. They were confused and also did not know how to swim. Only the little princess was not taken aback. She grabbed a large stick and threw it into the puddle. The squirrel deftly grabbed the stick, and the Princess pulled it onto dry land. Everyone was very excited. They began to hug the Princess and the squirrel. The guys did not expect that the little Princess would be so brave and resourceful. At this time, a fairy arrived. She already knew everything. "I'm proud of you, my dear Princess!" - she said. "But, it's all thanks to your magic potion," the Princess replied. In response, the Fairy shook her head and said in her ear with a smile, “My little princess, the potion you drank is not magic. It was the most ordinary sparkling water.”

But what about the spark of courage that I have inside? Where did it come from?

This light - it has always been in you, you just did not notice it. And now he will always be with you. You are a strong, brave and kind girl. Always remember this. I believe in you!

With these words, the Fairy flew away. The Little Princess looked after her and felt the fire of courage in her chest grow larger.

Tale of the bewitched princess

(a fairy tale to help with children's manipulations)

There lived a young princess in the world. And she was good to everyone: she had a pretty face, and a singer, and a dancer, and she was a master of a good word. The courtiers rejoiced, looking at her, and how happy the King and Queen were and words cannot express!

But now, the evil sorceress found out about this beautiful Princess, and she became so envious that everyone loves the Princess and feeds them with cakes, and gives beautiful toys, and she also answers them kindly!

The evil sorceress thought and pondered how to kill the Princess, and she sent her maid to her - a cunning bird. And that bird flew into the Princess’s chambers, became invisible, and sat on the Princess’s shoulder and let her whisper various bad things.

For example, she will persuade the Princess that people are in fact all envious and that they need to be controlled, so that they will certainly do as she wants and only fulfill her will. And even the recipe was suggested by that bird to the Princess, they say that you need to cheer one up with a lacquer word, and then ask what she wants.

The Princess had not skimped on kind words before, but then they came from the heart, they were sincere, and therefore they added joy to those who heard them and to the Princess herself.

And now, under the influence of the sly bird, the Princess began to speak kind words only to force people to do something. At first, everything went well, but then people began to notice that from the words of the Princess, the former warmth did not spread inside and no strength was added. With apprehension and wariness, people began to treat the requests of the Princess. Once again they will think whether to execute, or not at all.

These news also reached the King and Queen, who ruled this kingdom, but always made wise decisions. And then the Princess began to pick up affectionate words for them in order to take their place herself, and rule in that kingdom. That's all the witch's cunning bird whispered to her.

But the King and Queen were wise in that kingdom, they decided to pretend that they believed the Princess and give up the throne to her, while they themselves began to think how to help their beloved daughter.

The princess ascended the throne and began to issue decrees: everyone should urgently stop producing bread, porridge, soup, and make only cakes!

And everyone rushed to fulfill the order of the Princess. But how, - after all, she is on the throne! And the army, and cooks, and janitors, and gardeners, and shoemakers - everyone began to bake cakes!

At first, the Princess liked that she had such goodies for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but then she got tired of it! She wants sausages! And what kind of sausage are we talking about if the butcher bakes cakes! And then the neighboring king declared war, and the army is all in the bakery, sitting in flour - there is no one to defend their native country and the Princess herself!

The Princess was frightened and told the King and the Queen everything and asked for help. And she had wise parents, the cunning bird, which the bad Princess whispered, was noticed and driven away.

Then the eyes of the Princess were opened, and she saw what she was doing under the influence of evil spells. She began to ask everyone for forgiveness. And since then, she appreciated the work of everyone, the wise rule of her parents - the King and the Queen, and every kind word flying from her lips. She remembered that those words have magical power only when they are sincere and from the heart.

A fairy tale for a dream to come

Prologue

Sashenka stretched sweetly under the covers. I didn't want to get up and go to school. And the grandmother came up to wake her granddaughter twice already. She was in a hurry to get to work and a little angry. Sasha gathered her courage and decided to get up. First she stuck her nose out from under the blanket, then her right leg. The room was cold, and the girl darted back under the warm and cozy blanket.

Sasha, are you going to get up? - Grandma's stern voice was heard. - You'll be late for school, and I'm late for work. The boss will deprive me of the bonus, and you and Vasilko will be left without gifts for the New Year.

“Baaa, don’t be angry! I have my second lesson today. The math teacher is sick.

The girl jumped off the high bed onto the cold floor and hugged her grandmother: "I'm getting dressed."

Sanka pulled on jeans and a blouse and padded into the kitchen. A fragrant cup of tea was smoking on the table, and on a plate there was a pile of appetizing, hot sandwiches.

- Sleepy, and who will wash? - Grandma was already dressed.

Now, grandma. Are you going to have breakfast with me?

- I am late. If you want, wait for your grandfather. He's chopping wood in the street. Well, everything. Bye. Go, I'll smack you.

Grandma's door slammed shut.

Sanka rinsed her face with cold water, sat down at the table, pulled a plate of sandwiches closer to her and became sad: “Grandma has to work, dress them, feed them with Vasilko. Grandfather has sore legs, and he will cook delicious borsch, and clean the snow in the yard, and heat the stove, and look after Vaska. I wish I could grow up and help my grandparents. It's good to have mom and dad. They left with their brother without parents two years ago. The plane on which they flew on vacation was never found. Sasha had tears in her eyes. Vaska was very small and did not really understand anything. And Sanka still sees that plane in the sky. Since the plane was not found, then there is still hope. Maybe the parents escaped and live on some uninhabited island? And they will be found sooner or later. True, they have good grandfather and grandmother with Vasilko. Recently, her grandfather made wonderful sleds for her and her brother, as in the old days, with curved runners, and painted them in a cheerful green color. Now all my friends are asking for a ride. None of her friends have such grandparents.”

The girl became even more sad. I remembered that I had not prepared for the literature lesson. It was necessary to write a little fairy tale, but Sasha does not know how to compose. Grandma will be called to school and she will have sad eyes. And in the evening, when Sasha and Vasya go to bed, she will complain about the hard life, and her grandfather will calm her down.

The door creaked and interrupted Sanka's gloomy thoughts. From the street, in clubs of frosty air, grandfather entered.

“Are you awake, beautiful? And today I lay for a long time, my legs ached at night. Didn't have time to turn on the oven. Frozen granddaughter. Nothing, we'll fix it now.

Grandpa lit the stove. Sasha had eaten three sandwiches by that time.

Two with sausage and one with cheese. And now, in a hurry, she was packing her bag for school: she hadn’t packed it since the evening, as usual. A pencil and a ruler have gone somewhere.

- Sashenka, get ready quickly. You'll be late for school, - grandfather was cooking something on the stove.

The girl stopped looking for a pencil and a ruler. It will cost! I quickly got dressed.

- Bye, grandfather! I ran.

It was freezing cold outside. Sasha admired the mountain ash growing in the yard near the porch. The frost covered the rowan branches with frost, and put neat snow caps on the red clusters of berries. And all this splendor sparkled under the rays of the early morning sun. It's like a fairytale!

Sasha, why are you stuck there? I'm waiting for you, I'm waiting. My nose is already dead.

The nose of Sasha's best friend Olga is frozen. She lived next door, and in the class the girls sat at the same desk. Girlfriends were often seated for chatting, giggling, and being distracted in class. But after a couple of days they were already sitting together again. Sasha loved her nimble girlfriend very much. Low stature. Chunky. Perky eyes from under the bangs, a smile and a healthy blush on her cheeks. Olga has always been in the spotlight. I quarreled with someone. Reconciled. I fought with the boys and organized fun games. And the noise from her was like from ten people at the same time. It seemed to Sasha that even outwardly she was lost against the background of her friend. Too thin and pale. And the hair is so-so, light as flax. And two thin ponytails. But Olga has long, dark, wavy ones. And why only grandfather calls Sasha a beauty? Maybe because of the big gray eyes?

- Sasha, why are you asleep, or what? Ten minutes left until the call!

- Did you write a fairy tale in literature? the girl asked, slamming the gate.

Difficult task

In the same forest lived, there were two friends - the hedgehog Puff and the hare Puff. I must say that they were smart guys, they loved to think and solve various interesting problems. One day Puff came to Puff and said:

Listen, I've been thinking all morning: why is pleasant not always useful, and useful is not always pleasant?

Something I didn’t understand you, - Paf hesitated.

Well, you love chocolate. You can eat a whole mountain of it. And your mother forbids you, says that it is harmful, the tummy and teeth will ache. So?

Yes, agreed the hare.

So it turns out that something pleasant, that is, chocolate, is not useful for you.

And what is useful is not always pleasant?

It is useful for you, for example, to do exercises in the morning, but you are too lazy, it is more pleasant to sleep a little longer, or watch cartoons. And it’s not useful to watch a lot of them, because the head can get sick and the eyes get tired.

Yes, things ... But how to make the useful pleasant, and the pleasant - useful? Puff asked his friend.

That's what I'm thinking about! Poof was excited. - Who could help us?

Let's ask the owl, she knows everything in the world. Only to her as it gets dark you have to go.

Come on, - agreed Poof, and friends began to wait for darkness.

When the owl heard their question, she hooted for a long time, the way owls laugh. And then she said:

If you want the useful to become pleasant, and the pleasant useful, love the useful, and give up the pleasant!

What does it mean: to fall in love with exercises in the morning, and fall out of love with chocolate? friends didn't understand.

And understand how you want! You asked, I answered, - said the owl and flew away.

And Puff and Puff started training the next day. Puff honestly tried to stop loving chocolate, ice cream, and cartoons. Poof, with all his might, tried to fall in love with morning exercises, doing homework and even cleaning his room. Needless to say, they have made some progress. But they got out of hand in earnest.

And then, SIMULTANEOUSLY, an insight came to them!

You don’t have to stop loving cartoons and chocolate at all! It is necessary after all only TO KNOW THE MEASURE! Our mothers always told us about it! they said in chorus to each other.

Since then, Puff and Puff have been eating chocolate, but not much, in moderation. We watched cartoons, but in moderation, were naughty, but in moderation. And what was pleasant became useful to them. And the useful, gradually, opened for them its pleasant sides.

And you, dear friend, are you able to recognize the MEASURE and make pleasant things useful?

Little hostess

In a small town there lived a family with two children: a girl and a boy. The eldest girl considered herself quite an adult and she really wanted, like all adults, to have her own money. She told her mother about her desire, and she told her:

Money loves an account. Are you good at counting?

Yes, but not really, - the girl said honestly.

Money loves accuracy in spending. Can you make the right purchases?

Yes! I can! the girl screamed.

Okay, Mom replied. - I will give you money, you go to the store and buy everything that we need now. But for the amount that I will give you. Look, be careful. If your eyes run wide, they want to buy everything that is in the store, stop. First, think carefully about what we REALLY need in the family, and then check if you have the money for it. If they are not enough, think about what you need to refuse, and what you need to buy. Did you understand me?

Of course! Buy what we need, and if there is not enough money, then buy what is enough! - the girl shouted joyfully, grabbed the money and rushed to the store.

I must say that the store was very rich, with a large selection of different goods. And the girl's eyes widened. She wanted to buy both. And already she went to the checkout, began to call what she needed. Yes, only then I remembered my mother's advice: "Buy what you need for the amount that you have." She stepped away from the cash register and thought. What does her family REALLY need? Inflatable mattress? Leggy doll? New broom? Like - all this is NECESSARY! But is this REALLY NECESSARY?

The girl remembered that the bread in the house was over, and there was very little milk - her brother was not enough for porridge. "That's what we need now!" she rejoiced. I counted the money, after buying milk and bread there was still some left. “I won’t waste them now,” the girl decided. - When the eyes diverge, it is easy to make a mistake. I’ll save this money, then I’ll buy something useful!” - she decided, and took the purchases went home.

Mom was very happy with her daughter’s decision and said: “Daughter, now I see that you have grown up and become a mistress!”

Fairy tales for boys and girls

(part one - "men's tales")

Often, parents, intuitively understanding that education must be correlated with the sex of the child, ask us which fairy tales to read to girls and which to boys.
Of course, both girls and boys need to read a wide variety of fairy tales. It would be strange to declare certain fairy tales "male" and not read them to girls, and vice versa.
In each of us there is both male and female, yang and yin. Their mutual influence is our strength. However, it is still possible to conditionally divide the fabulous-mythological heritage into “female” and “male”. At the same time, we will remember that thanks to the reading of "male" fairy tales, the girl learns the male world and her masculine principle. The same logic is true for the boy.
In gender (sexual) terms, all fairy tales, myths, legends, parables can be divided into three groups (at the same time, the hero's belonging to an anthropomorphic group does not matter):

  • "male": the main character is a male character. “Male” fairy tales include all myths and legends about heroes, as well as fairy tales, the main characters of which belong to the male sex.
  • "female": main character(or heroine) - female character
  • "mixed": there are two protagonists of both genders.

The plot of "male" and "female" fairy tales is constructed in such a way that the hero (or heroine) independently understands the difficulties that arise and learns a lesson for himself. The plot of “mixed” fairy tales, in which anthropomorphic heroes act, necessarily ends with the reunion of the hero and heroine, with a wedding.
That is, "male" tales reflect male strategies of behavior, attitudes towards life, lessons, and "female" - female. "Mixed" tales tell about the relationship and mutual influence of masculinity and femininity and their harmonization.
Therefore, all three groups of fairy tales are important for us. Awareness of oneself as a man or woman is the forerunner of a harmonious union.
The most popular fairy tales for boys are The Three Little Pigs and The Gingerbread Man. They manifest the most important archetype of Struggle for a man. Moreover, if the Three Little Pigs shows a successful scenario of a winner of a superior opponent, then Kolobok (where the Road archetype is additionally updated) contains an important warning about the conditions under which one can be defeated. In fact, using these simple stories, one can explain to the boy the typology of the enemy, the preferred scenarios for fighting him and winning. With one opponent you need strength, with another you need bluff, with a third you need caution and foresight, with a fourth you need cunning, with a fifth you need a reliable team, and so on. On the example of various "male" fairy tales, it is possible to explain to a young man the strategies of struggle, their combination, to highlight the factors that lead to success.
The tale of the piglets, despite its apparent simplicity, contains three important ideas for the boy:

  • First, the relationship between the principles of pleasure and reality. Nif-Nif and Nuf-Nuf know how to enjoy life, enjoy the moment, find joy in the little things. Naf-Naf has a healthy pragmatism. For a boy, a man, it is important to find within himself the optimal ratio of the principles of pleasure and reality, to flexibly determine the Measure in accordance with the current moment.
  • Secondly, the idea of the enemy and security. Historically, a man has been a protector. The ability to gather information about the enemy, build a strategy to deal with it or defend against it is extremely important for the formation of masculinity. The source of carelessness of Nif-Nif and Nuf-Nuf is not in the desire to walk and have fun, but in the wrong approach to collecting information about the enemy. And do they have any information about the Wolf at all, except from Naf-Naf ?! Careless piglets receive information about the strength of the enemy directly in the situation of an open collision with him. And this circumstance characterizes them as bad strategists. But the question is: how did you collect information about the Naf-Naf Wolf? Did he take the words of the elders for granted, or did he conduct his own investigation? In any case, knowing the enemy, he ensured his own safety. So, the fairy tale contains important information for a man - before you relax, ensure safety.
  • Thirdly, the strategy of dealing with the enemy. There is an opinion that the brothers-piglets, under the leadership of the far-sighted Naf-Naf, acted too cruelly with the Wolf by boiling in boiling water. Although, when it comes to life and death, it is not so easy to think about generosity. What strategies did the piglets use to deal with the Wolf? First of all, avoidance and flight. Has it led to success? No, it only provoked the Wolf. The conclusion suggests itself: avoidance and flight from the enemy is ineffective in cases where the enemy is the Wolf. This type of opponent is unlikely to make a deal, he will not rest until he is defeated or sees that he is opposed by a more powerful force. What does this give our piglets? They have options: either kill the Wolf, or seek help from a stronger one (for example, a Bear). They choose the first path, and come up with a cunning plan, despite the limited time resources. It turns out that the fairy tale symbolically conveys to the boy the knowledge of the strategy and tactics of a successful fight against the enemy. A strong shelter, a unification of forces, a factor of luck, the use of one's own advantage and the weaknesses of the enemy - these are the components of success. Of course, you can discuss with the boy whether the piglets had another way out, and give a creative task to come up with an alternative plan for defeating the Wolf - all this can be done by the fairy tale therapist and parents.

Something like this you can build a conversation with the boy, telling him the story of the three little pigs and the Wolf. It is very important for a future man to know how to deal with the enemy, what will lead him to success and what will lead to failure.

The most popular "women's" fairy tales are "Little Red Riding Hood", "Masha and the Bear", "Tiny Khavroshechka", "Cinderella" and others. If "male" fairy tales do not always contain female images, then in all "female" fairy tales there is always a male character (zoomorphic or anthropomorphic). The heroine has to either build a relationship with him, entering into a struggle (“Little Red Riding Hood”, “Masha and the Bear”), or she is preparing herself for a happy marriage (“Little-Khavroshechka”, “Morozko”, “Cinderella”). Dreams, actions of female heroines are necessarily addressed to a man (with the exception, perhaps, of the mythological Amazons). This is not surprising. The principles of Love, procreation, fundamental for a woman, cannot be realized without the participation of a man. In fact, all "female fairy tales" help the girl to comprehend the meaning of femininity and mystery, variations of relationships with a man.
Let's return to the "men's fairy tales". If we talk about the basic principle of masculinity, then Struggle and Victory. Therefore, when we talk about what first of all it is necessary to teach a boy, we are talking about strategies, models for fighting and achieving success. When a young person graduates from school, he, in addition to the set of knowledge established by the state standard of secondary education, must know HOW TO ACHIEVE SUCCESS and feel his own strength. Of course, the various facets of the content of the concept of "success" should also be discussed throughout the learning process. Success in the personal aspect, social, spiritual; success as a harmonious transformation of the world; success as agreement with oneself; success as the realization of the abilities inherent in nature. Unfortunately, a rare school graduate understands the many-sided content of success and has the tools to achieve it.
In our world, the tradition of teaching boys is forgotten. Of course, in archaic times they were brought up separately from girls and mentors were the best men. It was the boys who were told fairy tales, thus conveying the most important knowledge about struggle and victory. Today, some educators talk about "separate learning." But who will teach the boys now? The same female teachers who do not possess the secrets of "male education", which, in fact, they do not need. Of course, “male institutions” have survived, but they have either a military or spiritual orientation, and are not the successors of the tradition of masculinity education.
But not everything is so fatal, and the tradition of raising a boy can be tried to be restored thanks to “male fairy tales”. Fairy tales and myths are especially important for a boy at the stage of accumulating knowledge about the world. This stage lasts until about adolescence, the boy acquires knowledge about how the world works, forms his own self-concept.
This period is the most important for the future man. It is no coincidence that all modern "male" personality theories emphasize the role of early childhood experience in the life scenario.
It is important for a boy to understand what is “right” and what is “wrong”; what is “effective”, what is “ineffective”; what leads to success, what leads to failure. “The little son came to his father and asked the baby what is good, what is bad,” said V. Mayakovsky. Indeed, it is extremely important for a boy to give a clear definition, to classify phenomena. No ambiguity, there must be the utmost clarity. Why? Maybe because the principle of the masculine principle is ACTIVITY, which involves the expenditure of energy. To spend wisely, you need to know where and how. Therefore, uncertainty for the masculine principle is detrimental - energy is wasted.
Everything that a boy remembers in childhood leaves an imprint on his adult life. All early knowledge about life is “packed” into some models that can be used to explain the world. And first of all, the boy highlights those behaviors that can be used to achieve success.
If he sees that the strongest wins, and the weak are made fun of, he will try to "pump his muscles." If he sees that the cunning are winning, he will perfect his art of deception. If he sees that the leading position is occupied by a smart one, he will strive to develop his own intellectual potentials. The desire to prove to everyone and to oneself one's masculinity, the right to exist, is due to the archaic nature of the masculine principle.
The boy sees how people around him behave, notes whether they are successful or not, analyzes, seeks to explain the reasons for failures and successes. It’s great if there are experienced mentors next to him who will tell (using stories, myths, legends and fairy tales) about strategies for achieving success, about the types of opponents and the specifics of dealing with them, about how to find a measure in pleasures and obligations. Then the boy will have a "library" of models of successful behavior.
Therefore, in the process of development and education of a boy, it is so important to show him as many “male” models as possible. The boys themselves greedily absorb them. They watch action films (modern "male" fairy tales), go in for sports, and are drawn to the knowledge of "male" forms of leisure. They seek to try their hand and create situations that threaten their own lives. The masculine purposefully requires risk, testing of one's own strengths, spheres of application of activity, Adventure.
It is important for a boy to have all the attributes of social success: acceptance by peers, it is desirable to occupy, if not a leading, then a noticeable position; be successful with girls; own money and own territory.
The task of the psychologist, educator, teacher and parents is to tell him about the constructive means of achieving these benefits. This is where the discussion of “male” fairy tales comes to the rescue. Moreover, for a boy, the value of a fairy tale becomes obvious when he sees its practical significance. Therefore, a psychologist, teacher, educator often has to interpret fairy tales, myths and legends from the pragmatic side in working with boys, highlighting strategies for success and correlating them with reality. As an example, we can recall the discussion of the fairy tale "The Three Little Pigs" above.
Working with the boy, the fairy tale therapist selects "male" fairy tales and focuses on the behavior of the hero, on what leads him to success, how he overcomes difficulties, relates to failures. Knowledge obtained from fairy tales, legends and myths is used to discuss the boy's problem situation and form a strategy for successful behavior in it.
It is not necessary to tell any story from beginning to end, and only after that proceed to its discussion. It is enough to single out from the metaphorical material an episode (or episodes) consonant with the boy's actual problem and discuss them, correlate them with the real situation, outline solutions.
As an example, here is a transcript of an individual consultation. A young man of eleven is placed in a special institution for minors for vagrancy and petty theft. From there, he repeatedly escaped, but he was returned back. What is happening strongly resembles the scenario of the fairy tale about Kolobok. Since the young man does not intend to go to a revelation with a psychologist, the fairy tale therapist takes the initiative into his own hands. So, there are two characters: an adult (Sk) and a teenager (Kl).
Sk: Tell me, do you know the story of Kolobok?
Kl: What else Kolobok?
Sk: There is a fairy tale about Kolobok, who left his grandparents, a hare, a wolf, a bear… Do you remember?
Kl: I don’t know one (this is not surprising, many children from dysfunctional families do not know even the most famous fairy tales and only begin to study in special institutions for minors)
Sk: Let me, then I'll tell you about it (tells a fairy tale). Now you know her. Do you find anything in common with what is happening to you?
Cl (grins): I left my grandma and grandpa too, right?
SC: Exactly. Looks like you're smart!
Cl (grins contentedly): There is little.
Sk: Listen, why do you think such a cunning, dodgy Gingerbread Man still fell for the Fox's bait?
Kl: Because you're an idiot, you shouldn't have come close.
SK: What does it mean: "Close to come"?
Kl: You shouldn't have put your mouth on it.
Sk: And what was he supposed to do when he met Lisa?
CL: Get the hell out of here.
Sk: You know that the Fox turned out to be even more dangerous than the Bear. And with Kolobok, everything worked out fine before with a song. How could he know about the fox's cunning?
Cl: I could guess.
SK: Where? After all, he already considered himself the coolest - he went around everyone, ran away from everyone. He was sure he was invincible. And in this state, not only koloboks, but also many people lose their caution, it seems to them that they are the smartest and most cunning.
Kl: Started wondering, huh?
SK: Yes! And that's all Lisa needs. She listened to his song and realized that in front of her was an asshole who considered himself the coolest, the smartest. And such a cunning person can easily get around. But the question is, did Kolobok have the opportunity to somehow get out?
CL: It must have been...
SK: And what was it? What could he do, at least when the fox invited him to sit on her nose?
Cl: Roll away quickly.
Sk: That is, do not sit on her toe?
CL: Yes.
Sk: And what could he say to her in response to such a proposal?
Kl: What can I say, I had to quickly get out.
Sk: Look, we know how cunning the Fox is. Wouldn't she have found a way to catch up with Kolobok?
Kl: Exactly, I would.
SK: See, running isn't always the best option. Will definitely catch up.
CL: So what do you do?
SK: That's what I'm asking you about.
Cl: I don't know.
Sk: But you and I have heads on our shoulders. So?
CL: Yes.
SK: Let's think about what he could do. Actually, fairy tales exist for this, so that real men can learn from the mistakes of heroes, think about how to avoid them in their lives.
Kl: I could shout loudly in her ear to make her deaf!
Sk: And he himself, taking advantage of her confusion, roll away? Wonderful! Could she be outmaneuvered?
Cl: I don't know.
SK: Let's talk with you. What did Lisa want? Eat Kolobok. So she wanted to eat. Therefore, in order to save himself and avert the threat of persecution, Kolobok had to show her another object for hunting, other food, and more interesting for the Fox.
Kl: He should have told her that the horse died across the road, run over there!
SK: Very interesting idea! Are there other options?
Kl: You could say that I'm stale, but at the bakery everything is fresh.
Sk: Really, Lisa, you, with your exquisite taste, will eat stale bread?! Yes, this is not self-respect! Go to the mill, the miller has a birthday today, so he feeds everyone for free, who congratulates him.
Cl: Exactly!
Sk: You see, it turns out that Kolobok has the opportunity to deflect the blow from himself and satisfy the enemy. Okay, so what does this give us? After all, they learn from fairy tales. What can you and I learn?
Kl: Fox to deceive!
Sk: There are many people like Lisa among people. Many fairy tales say that if you are weaker than the enemy, you need to use cunning. The main thing is not to lose caution, like Kolobok. Have you met people like Lisa in your life?
Cl: I don't know...
SK: You don't have to answer this question now, just think about it. Running isn't always the best option. And to outwit the enemy in this case, you and I, firstly, asked ourselves what he wants. Secondly, we figured out how he can get it, but without harming us. But this is not the only way to win. There are many more in fairy tales. You want to know?
CL: That would be nice.
SK: All in due time. Yes, you yourself can now reflect on fairy tales, on what they wanted to teach us. But you and I still have one more important question: where did Kolobok go?
CL: Where to?
SK: That's exactly where he was going, what he wanted to see, who to meet, what to buy?
Cl: Nothing, just...
Sk: He just liked to roll, the road called him?
Cl: Well, yes.
Sk: So it turns out that another lesson of the fairy tale is that the one who does not know where and why he is going, where he is rolling, sooner or later is eaten.
CL: How is it?
SC: Yes. The fox ate Kolobok. Maybe also because he didn't know where he was heading. It was important for him to leave someone all the time. Remember his song: I left my grandmother, I left my grandfather, I left the hare ... ". He always needs to get away from someone, run away. But why he leaves, runs away, he does not know. That is, as they say, he has no purpose. And in our life too. Those who do not have a goal are sooner or later “eaten up”, that is, they are deprived of their freedom, their own opinions and even desires ... That's it! Listen, I want to ask you, at your leisure, maybe you’ll think, figure out where the Gingerbread Man could roll. And next time we'll talk about it.
Cl. OK.

In fairy tales there is a description of various ways to overcome obstacles, a typology of enemies and strategies to deal with them. All this should be included in the "men's library" of models for achieving success.

If we consider a fairy tale as an educational tool, then the question arises, is there a difference in the choice of fairy tales for girls and boys? The founder of the method of Complex Fairytale Therapy, Doctor of Psychology, director Tatyana Zinkevich-Evstigneeva told about this to "Letidor".

"Of course, both girls and boys need to read a wide variety of fairy tales. It would be strange to declare certain fairy tales "male" and not read them to girls, and vice versa. Each of us has both male and female, yang and yin. mutual influence is our strength. However, it is still possible to conditionally divide the fairy-tale-mythological heritage into “female” and “male” ones. they tell about the relationship between the hero and the heroine. All three groups of fairy tales are important for the education of a harmonious personality.

What fairy tales teach for boys

Let's consider several types of fairy tales that reflect male behavioral strategies, attitudes towards life, lessons that a man goes through while growing up.

Give-and-take ratio
The first type of fairy tales are those where there is an idea about the correct ratio of "take-give". Boys, by nature, are always actively involved in the fight, whether it be a toy in the sandbox or an older brother's bike. Therefore, starting from the age of 4-5, the child should choose fairy tales that teach how to take and give correctly.

A fairy tale teaches: remember what you take, when and from whom. If you want to take something, be patient, ask the owner how to use it. You will be impatient, you will grab someone else's, you can invite trouble. Give thanks in advance, and when you take, and when you return, gratitude is the best defense.
If a mother in the first 5-6 years forms the correct understanding of “take-give”, she will already do a great job.

Man's decision It is also necessary to consider fairy tales where the hero makes a decision. it good stuff to talk to the boy. "Let's think about whether the hero made the right decision, how could he have acted differently in this situation?" In principle, any male fairy tale can be analyzed from this angle. And the sooner mom allows her son to make decisions, take responsibility for his actions, the easier it will be for him when he embarks on an independent adult path. .

Moms should remember the healthy formula of male education: “I gave birth to a son, but I am raising a man, that is, a breadwinner and protector not only for me, but also for future generations, as well as for that woman who will help her son continue our family.” If the mother constantly takes care of the child, because “he is weak and small and will disappear without me,” then such an attitude has a destructive effect on male nature. And it is not surprising that after 10, 15, or even 40 years, the son continues to be infantile and dependent on his mother.

Heroic tales
The third type of fairy tales that we choose for boys is heroic tales. They have a Hero capable of fighting for justice and protecting the weak. He saves people, perhaps sacrificing himself, there are difficulties on his way, but he always comes to his goal as a winner.
These are not only fairy tales, where beautiful ones are shown, noble heroes, but also historical biographies (Alexander the Great, Suvorov, Admiral Ushakov, etc.), epics, lives of saints.

Master of his craft
A good shoemaker, a tailor, a baker, and even a good magician are stories that show the path that a man goes through to become a master of his craft. From such tales comes an important conversation about the craft, because one of the archetypal masculine states is the Master. For a boy, in addition to a good education, it is important to master some kind of craft, which will always give him the opportunity to earn money, which means to feed himself and his family.

Four archetypal roles
Through the "male fairy tales" the boy comprehends the four main male archetypal roles: the Breadwinner, Protector, Teacher and Continuer of the Family.

We meet the archetypal role of the breadwinner in fairy tales, where the boy is forced to take on the role of the head of the family for some reason. For example, the death of his father. The young man goes on a journey, gets hired, sends money to his family, helps his mother, younger brothers and sisters. He grows up, reaches social heights, but never forgets about the family. So he becomes the breadwinner.

As for the Defender, these are stories about heroes who stand guard over their country, protect their families. For the Defender, the joy of restoring justice is a powerful incentive; he takes nothing for himself in return.

A male mentor, the Teacher finds his own approach to everyone. Quite surprisingly, this archetype is revealed in oriental parables (in China, Japan, Korea). A striking example of this is Kim Ki-duk's film "Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter... and Spring Again", where the image of the Teacher is wonderfully depicted.

Fairy tales, where there is an archetype of the Successor of the Family, are stories that have the theme of relationships with women. There is love and loyalty here.

It is not always possible to find stories in the folklore open to us that would fit smoothly on these ideas. Therefore, we, fairy tale therapists, try to restore ancient stories and even create new ones based on these archetypal ideas.

It is important for every mother whose daughter grows up to know that the girl perceives not so much the ideas of upbringing - to be clean, to keep the hearth, to be patient, hardworking - as the way they are transmitted. Let's say a mother wants to teach her daughter how to keep the house clean, while yelling or cursing if she does not clean things or do not wash the dishes. If the situation repeats itself, then over time, cleaning will become an unpleasant duty for the daughter. But there is another approach: the mother will be able to achieve what she wants gently, in a feminine way, talking with jokes, jokes, and most importantly, showing her example: “You see, daughter, we will clean up with you now, all our things will lie in their places , because things, like people, need their own place, their own house. And every thing from its place will always help us or even protect us.

Good hostess
In fairy tales, where there is an image of a good housewife, it is shown how the heroine leads the house, builds relationships with relatives and with other people. Wherever such a heroine gets, even in the most neglected house, such as, for example, Snow White to the seven dwarfs, she will definitely put things in order there. The image of a good housewife is a talisman for a woman, saves her from adversity and trouble.

We see this image in the fairy tales "Cinderella", "Tiny-Khavroshechka", as well as in those where there is a kind stepdaughter and evil stepmother. The stepdaughter is cheerful and cheerful, although she is under severe pressure from her stepmother. The stepmother is a "social coach". She shows a rigid model of upbringing, provokes the heroine to display retaliatory aggression, thereby training the moral core, testing her for the strength of female qualities - patience, the ability to forgive, diligence, chastity. If the stepdaughter falls for all the bait and enters into a conflict, defending her rights, then she will disappear and get nothing.

As a rule, fairy-tale heroines pass this test, but in real life a different situation occurs. "Stepdaughters" do not show patience, do not forgive, do not work, and therefore the amulet does not work - neither the prince, nor the crown ...

kind mother
The type of fairy tales, where the image of a kind mother is shown, is very important for girls. These fairy tales teach how to love and educate children. A kind mother is often manifested in the images of a sorceress, fairy. She comes to the aid of the heroine, she consoles, teaches. Kind words, soft turns, precise wise expressions, instructions, delicately conveyed from the lips of a kind mother, will help the girl to form her ideal image of a mother.

Desirable Woman
We see the image of a desired woman in fairy tales, where the heroine meets the prince. Vasilisa the Wise, Cinderella - the image of a desired woman in these tales is manifested through characters that stimulate the hero to a feat. The heroines create situations where the hero must prove himself by overcoming obstacles.

And, of course, this image always has an imprint of inaccessibility and chastity. For example, the Sleeping Beauty sleeps in a crystal coffin, another heroine lives far away, the third must be rescued from captivity or disenchanted.

The principle of chastity is an extremely important idea for raising a girl today, because now it is trampled in every possible way. Modern youth culture tells a girl something completely different, that you can not only kiss, but also have almost an intimate relationship with a boy on a first date. The accessibility of a woman greatly corrupts not only women themselves, but also men. Therefore, I would call this type of fairy tales especially relevant.

Here are perhaps the most basic types of gender fairy tales that can serve as a tool for educating boys and girls, reading which parents will already do a great job."

The first two books, devoted to female archetypal plots and plots of relationships, aroused quite a lot of interest. I was constantly asked when the book about men's fairy tales would be released. I often referred to my busyness, which makes it difficult to prepare this material for publication. In fact, writing about men's fairy tales is very difficult and responsible for me, as a woman. This is true, even though the concept of male archetypes and archetypal plots was developed long ago and is successfully used in counseling and development of fairy tale therapy programs. At the same time, the presence of some kind of gender trepidation on the part of the author is probably quite natural- ~ 5 ~ From the author, but even useful in the study of such a delicate issue as fabulous male psychology... One way or another, Dear friends This book is about heroes. In the full sense of this beautiful word. Perhaps some readers will now begin to impatiently rub their hands. Say, finally we will all learn about the subtle underpinnings of male psychology! Let me disappoint you, dear readers, a little. The heroes of men's fairy tales also live in the inner space of every woman. In her, so to speak, Animus, the male part of the inner nature. It is thanks to this male part that a woman can observe a vivid character, reactions and manifestations in the outside world. I was often told by my students and clients that there is “too much masculine” in the plot of their lives. Yes, it does. How else? The masculine principle inside a woman helps her to survive and realize herself in the social world, to be active and independent. I must say that many heroines carry a bright male principle. Take, for example, Gerda or the heroine of the fairy tale "The Finist is clear the falcon." Another thing is that fairy-tale heroines subtly combine male and female principles. Inside a modern woman, the state of affairs is not always so harmonious ... But this is a completely different question. So, the task of this book is not at all to present the author's subjective view of male psychology, even if it is fabulous. Our task is to more subtly and deeply explore the features of the masculine principle inside a person - both men and women. The masculine principle carries within itself a tremendous energy of activity, both constructive and destructive. Thanks to its action, there are real transformations of anything. Managing this energy is not always easy, especially when you do not know all the subtleties and nuances. Even when you know, it's not easy at all... That's why the paths of heroes are often so confusing! But we are researchers! Let's try to figure it out. True, we will be modest with you, realizing that we will only see a certain small part of the information encrypted in fairy tales... Best regards, author Part one. Two keys to the cipher of men's fairy tales And again, a few words about fairy tale therapy "Fairy tale therapy" is a word that appeared in the Russian language relatively recently. And, as is typical of every not yet established term, it different people - and professionals, and just interested - causes a variety of associations. For some, fairy tale therapy is treatment with fairy tales. For others, it is a method of corrective work; for others, it is a way of transferring basic knowledge about life. In science, fairy tale therapy is one of the youngest areas of practical psychology. Indeed, for a direction, for a scientific school, fifteen to twenty years is a short period. But at the same time, fairy tale therapy is the most ancient way to support a person with the help of ~ 10 ~ words. Probably, as soon as speech arose, the first stories immediately appeared. Someone will say that stories appeared because a person needed something to occupy his leisure time (there was no TV yet!). But to say so is not entirely correct. The main thing is that knowledge was transferred through stories, and the fact that this happened in a fascinating form is a wonderful “side effect” of learning life through fairy tales. It is not so easy to give an unambiguous definition of fairy tale therapy. On the one hand, fairy tale therapy is one of the methods for developing a person's self-awareness and emotional intelligence. On the other hand, this is the most ancient educational system that allows you to subtly, not didactically form ideas about basic life values. On the third hand, fairy tale therapy is a language of images and symbols, organic to the unconscious of a person. On the fourth hand, fairy tale therapy is a way to talk with a person about the soul (especially if you remember that psychology is the science of the soul). So what exactly is fairy tale therapy? Today this word has become a brand, and many psychologists no longer hesitate to admit that they are engaged in fairy tale therapy. There are many ways to work with fairy tales, myths, legends, parables. Consequently, there can be several approaches and schools in fairy tale therapy. In the young domestic psychology, somehow by itself, a tradition arose behind the scenes, unofficially to distinguish between the Moscow and St. Petersburg schools. Why not do the same in fairy tale therapy?! Having conveyed my deepest respects to the creator and custodian of the Moscow school of fairy tale therapy - Igor Vachkov, let me tell you a little about the St. Petersburg approach and Complex Fairytale Therapy ©. Integrated Fairytale Therapy© is an original method developed in St. Petersburg by the author of the book you are holding in your hands. The methodological base was formed gradually. And on its basis it is possible to give today's definition of Complex Fairytale Therapy©. Complex Fairytale Therapy © is a system of ideas about archetypal plots, male and female plots of relationships, which, intertwined, form an individual “pattern of fate” of a modern person. With this "pattern of fate", in fact, the fairy tale therapist works. But let's look at everything in order. Let's start with what an archetype and an archetypal plot are. ~12~ An archetype is a basic matrix, a “primary pattern”, a fundamental mechanism that has manifested itself unchanged over many centuries. Cultural scenery, generations, civilizations change, but the action of archetypes remains unchanged. Many psychologists immediately associate the concept of an archetype with the name of Carl Gustav Jung. Indeed, thanks to this outstanding person, psychologists, in fact, received “authorized access” to the storehouses of the collective unconscious. K.-G. Jung called archetypes "innate images of life's probabilities." The archetype, or “original image”, “divine pattern”, was filled with different content by different thinkers. For Plato, it acts as a model comprehended by the mind, for the scholastics as a natural image imprinted in the mind, for Augustine as a basic image that creates the basis for human knowledge. K.-G. Jung, who is especially sensitive to the content and manifestation of archetypes, considered them to be innate mental structures that determine a person's aesthetic attitude to the world. As complexly organized phenomena, archetypes are not immediately amenable to logical analysis, they are hidden behind metaphors so that our imperfect consciousness does not distort their essence. It is thanks to the action of archetypes that we often say: “Nothing essential changes in the world, only the scenery is moving.” In this case, decorations are understood as epochs, changes in styles in architecture and clothing, the emergence of new professions and the abolition of old ones, a change in the style of speech turns, the emergence of new “benefits of civilization”, and so on. However, the mechanisms of conflicts, scenarios of people's behavior, the laws of the change of eras, the mechanisms of domestic and intrapersonal problems remain unchanged. This is how archetypes work. By studying history, world and our personal, we can discover the action of certain forces, general patterns. And thus highlight some archetypes. It must be said that many researchers are engaged in the selection of archetypes. There is no single classification of archetypes. Therefore, we, as fairy tale therapists, have a fairly large scope for creative search. What we actually use to the fullest. The creative masculinity in some people forces them to fight against the action of archetypes. They want to break the chains of traditions, to find the most original perspective of reality. This is how new ~14~ trends, currents in art and politics are born. Contemporaries rejoice: “This is completely new, original!” But time passes, exaltation is replaced by common sense hand in hand with critical thinking, and it turns out that only “new decorations” were invented. The archetypes have remained unchanged. Actually, that's what they are archetypes for, to ensure the realization of the cherished dream of many people - the dream of stability. The creative masculinity in some people forces them to fight against the action of archetypes. Archetypes are what keeps things in order in the world. Archetypes are tools for overcoming and ordering chaos. Fairy tales, myths, legends, parables, songs and other metaphorical formats are archetype keepers. Analyzing and interpreting fairy tales, we learn their “keys”. So, the archetype is a kind of general mechanism, a phenomenon whose action through modifications can be observed in different eras, as well as in an individual picture of the world, in scenarios of relationships between people. The archetype contains colossal energy. Exploring archetypes, we connect to this energy. But in our ~ 15 ~ creativity, it is better for us to use it in accordance with the internal law of a certain archetype. In our life, the action of archetypes unfolds in time, so we can say this: the archetype manifests itself through a sequence of events. This means that the action of the archetype unfolds in our life as a kind of plot. Or rather, an archetypal plot. For example, there is an archetype of the Road, the Way. It operates in the life of each of us. According to the law of this archetype, conditions are created under which it becomes impossible to live “in the old way”, to think “as before”. We leave our habitual habitat or abandon our habitual ways of acting, thinking, and responding. Soon we will have to trust the new “state of the road”, trying not to subject everything to critical analysis. We will have to pass a series of tests and find the resources to pass them. Then the original purpose of the trip will be subject to correction and concretization, an algorithm for achieving it will also be developed and assistants will appear. When we achieve our goal, we may be disappointed in ~ 16 ~ Enormous energy is contained in the archetype. her or lose vigilance, face the betrayal of others and get time to rethink one's own path. These are the laws of action of the archetype of the Road. This is how the archetypal plot manifests itself, on the basis of which all kinds of fairy tales, myths and legends are born. As many centuries ago, so today. However, this does not mean that everything is predetermined by the action of archetypes and archetypal plots. Some people mistakenly associate the action of archetypes with the action of the "forces of Destiny". Archetypes do not predetermine, they only store reserves of energy and adventures for our life and creativity - plots for action. If you know the laws of action of the archetype, its logic, then you can avoid unnecessary unpleasant surprises, for which a person spends a huge amount of vital energy in his life. That is why knowledge about archetypes, the operation of general laws, was passed down from generation to generation through metaphor carriers (fairy tales, legends, parables, myths, anecdotes, songs, etc.). Knowledge of archetypes allows a person to save his vitality, not to waste it on petty proceedings with personal and social problems. In this case, a person can spend it ~17~ on creative actions, on creativity and exploration of the world, finally. So, the archetype in Complex Fairytale Therapy © is understood as a certain general mechanism that contains energy and the laws of its use. However, one should not think that the archetype is a chest that is waiting for a person to use it, having previously read the operating instructions on the lid. Archetypes are active systems providing maintenance of Life. They act regardless of whether the person knows about their existence or not. Archetypal plots are so strong that they can correct the destruction that a destructive person brings into the World, having the illusion of his own power over nature. Archetypes make up the matrix of life. And convenient for creativity and constructive self-realization. If this is understood, then one can not waste emotional energy on experiencing the fatality of being. Archetypal plots, unfolding in the life of a modern person, help us gain the most important life experience. Complex Fairytale Therapy© has developed its own classification of archetypes and archetypal ~18~ plots. It is convenient both for research work and for psychological counseling. So, now that we have dealt with what an archetype and an archetypal plot are, let's get acquainted with the term “pattern of fate”, adopted in Complex Fairytale Therapy ©. “Pattern of Fate” is a unique drawing of a person's life, in which you can find the action of archetypes and archetypal plots. The “pattern of fate” contains information about how a person goes through the School of Life, how he overcomes various traps and trials, what resources he attracts to go through initiating situations, how he meets the challenges that life throws at him. To put it simply, the "pattern of fate" is the story of a person's life. Isn't the life story of each of us a fairy tale?.. The older a person is, the richer his “pattern of fate”. In this regard, of course, the most interesting fairy tale therapy is fairy tale therapy for adults. Behind every fragment of life lies a certain combination of archetypal plots. And the fairy tale therapist unravels the most complicated tangle of intertwined ancient plots, helping the client to get out of a difficult life trap. ~19~ The Complex Fairytale Therapy© does not use the phrase “life scenario”. The very word “scenario” implies an initial predetermination, a certain fatality, predestination. But man is a non-linear being. We have quite a few different forces inside us, often in different directions, giving rise to different plots. The fairy tale therapist tries to examine the life situation from different angles, find manifestations of various archetypes and plots, unravel their riddles and traps, and give a person the opportunity to choose which plot to complete. Which way to go first. So, a fairy tale therapist is someone who works with a unique “pattern of fate” of a person, perceiving his life as a new fairy tale. I must say that it is very difficult to be in the place of the protagonist. It is interesting to read and listen about his adventures, but to live them PERSONALLY... Therefore, when they say “life is like a fairy tale”, the fairy tale therapist first sighs deeply, because that he deeply sympathizes with the person as the protagonist of his own fairy tale. But in the depths of his soul, the Fairytale Therapist is the one who works with the unique “pattern of fate” of a person, perceiving his life as a new fairy tale. ~20 - the fairy tale therapist rejoices, anticipating the most interesting joint journey with the client along his “pattern of fate”. The navigation system for such a journey is a system of ideas about archetypes and archetypal plots. In Complex Fairytale Therapy © we single out: □ seven male archetypes; □ seven male archetypal subjects; □ seven basic plots of relationships; □ seven female archetypal subjects; □ seven cycles of creative action of the Mother archetype. You can smile when you see the magic number "seven". Indeed, for fairy tales this is a special number. But one should not think that only this number exhausts the entire volume of archetypes and ancient plots. It's just that these archetypes and plots are the most active in the lives of our contemporaries (according to our observations). Time will pass, and we will see that other archetypal forces have begun to operate and it is necessary to supplement the concept of Complex Fairytale Therapy©. The law of the "magic seven" is violated by us when it comes to describing the archetype of Femininity. Here we single out three archetypes that set a certain channel for the irrational ~21~ energy of femininity. These are the archetypes of Mother, Beloved and Guardian. In the archetype of the Mother we single out seven (!) cycles, in the archetype of the Beloved there are three cycles, and in the archetype of the Guardian there are two cycles. So the Feminine archetype, from our point of view, has twelve cycles. How can one not recall here the wonderful tale of the “Twelve Months”?! But, dear friends, let's postpone the conversation about the archetype of Femininity until the next book... The second violation of the law of the “magic seven” is found in Complex Fairytale Therapy©, when it comes to Universal archetypes. We work with ten Universal archetypes. Among them are five contemplative ones (archetypes of the Road, State, Creator, Helper, Seasonality), and five dramatic ones (archetypes that we call like this: “Kind heart - Cold heart”, “Body of pain”, “Augean stables ”, “Crossroads”, “Divine udder”). Actually, combinations of Universal archetypes set the core of the main fairy tale plots. But this is a completely different story... The purpose of this book is to offer an approach to working with male archetypes and plots. What for? In order to more ~ 22 ~ subtly navigate in one's own and someone else's "pattern of fate", highlighting the threads of male archetypal plots in it. After all, these threads are responsible for our social life and active self-realization. Reasons for highlighting male archetypes and archetypal plots Let me start with the most difficult - by answering the question: “And on what basis, in fact, do you want to single out the notorious male (and female!) archetypes and plots and why they are exactly like that? ? Indeed, it is very difficult to give an intelligible answer here. You can, of course, get away from the question by saying: “You know, many discoveries happened as a result of revelation! Take at least the periodic table!” But it is not proper for a fairy tale therapist to speak like that. In general, the problem of classifying fairy tale plots is quite acute. Until now, researchers have not come up with worthy grounds for classifying fairy tales. Of course, there are undisputed authorities in this area. 24 ~ For example, the Finnish scientist Antti Aarne. He compiled a catalog of types of fairy tales and published it at the beginning of the last century. For his index, Aarne provided for about 2,400 types of fairy tale plots. But in fact, there are fewer types, just a far-sighted scientist left empty spaces in his list so that other researchers could contribute to the process of classifying fairy tale plots. Antti Aarne himself singled out about 1000 types of plots. However, it is not possible for a fairy tale therapist to use such a classification. Firstly, there are too many of them - it will not be enough to “try on” all the plots to the client’s situation. Secondly, the classification categories are set very subjectively. And this subjectivity of Antti Aarne does not agree with the goals of the fairy tale therapist. So, in science there is still no clear classification of fairy tale plots. And this gives us the right to create classifications that are convenient for solving problems of psychological counseling and correction with the help of fairy tales. In this case, it is important that there are not many “working” archetypes and plots. In the Complex Fairytale Therapy©, the fabulous number "seven" is taken as the basis. As already mentioned, we highlight: 25 ~ □ seven male archetypes; □ seven male archetypal subjects; □ seven female archetypal subjects; □ seven archetypal plots (levels) of relationships; □ seven cycles of the Mother archetype. Seven is convenient, beautiful and does not claim to be final. Yes, this is just the tip of the iceberg of the collective unconscious. But how good she is! We also identify ten universal archetypes (five contemplative and five dramatic). Another important reason for highlighting archetypal plots is their activity, manifestation in the life of our contemporaries. Of course, there are a lot of archetypal plots, but today seven are the most active in the “pattern of fate”. But how many combinations! Time will pass, other archetypal plots will become active, which are still in the shadows, in a more passive state. In this case, we will respond flexibly and supplement our methodological foundations for consulting. So, what will be our answer to the question of where the grounds for highlighting archetypes and plots come from? From our life, from the stories of our contemporaries, from ~26~ "patterns of their destinies". Of course, the answer is not very scientific. But we don't have another yet. Well, now, perhaps, we have no obstacles left to open the door to the treasury of men's fairy tales. A lot of heroes are already crowding near the entrance, who want to be recognized and get a portion of our attention. The first key to the cipher of male fairy tales: initiating events For thousands of years, men have actively manifested themselves in society as warriors, leaders, kings, peasants, hunters, merchants, philosophers, teachers, sages, priests, shamans, monks, clergymen, and also as slaves and servants. Can you name at least one period of human history in which there would be no warriors or leaders, wise men or slaves, merchants or peasants? Actually, these simple thoughts formed the basis for the classification of male archetypes. If there have always been warriors, it means that there is an archetypal matrix of the Warrior involved in the formation of the character, the picture of the world of a person, regardless of the era in which he lives. If there have always been leaders, bosses, tsars, kings, presi- ~28 ~ ribbons, then there is also an archetypal matrix of the Monarch, which actively forms leadership qualities within us. If there have always been farmers, peasants striving for a settled stable life, then the archetypal matrix of the Peasant must work within us as well. And so on. We began to observe people, small and large, to observe ourselves and saw HOW these ancient structures operate. I must say that they are quite clearly manifested in human behavior, starting from a very young age. Even in the character of an infant it is not difficult for an experienced eye to see the action of archetypal structures. Thus, the concept of male archetypes gradually took shape - a system of ideas about seven forms of manifestation of masculinity. In Complex Fairytale Therapy ©, seven active male archetypes are distinguished: Warrior, Monarch, Peasant, Merchant, Philosopher, Monk and Servant (Slave). Within each of us there are all seven archetypes, but they can be represented in different ways. An archetype (we also use the phrase “archetypal matrix”) can manifest itself brightly or weakly, as well as constructively, ~29~, or destructively. Archetypal power must be learned to manage, and then it will become a powerful tool for self-realization. But when these ancient forces are not recognized by us and act destructively against our will, we cannot do without the help of a psychologist. A difficult situation with the action of archetypal matrices can develop at any age. Why? Because the ancient force strives for action, development and forms around a person an appropriate flow of events and situations. That is why raising boys is such a troublesome process. There will be no rest for mothers, fathers, educators. An emerging masculinity is hungry for adventure. The male archetypal power actively forms provocative situations that require maximum effort from a person. Such crisis situations in the Complex Fairytale Therapy © are called "initiating". Initiation is an initiation, thanks to which a person has a chance to move to the next level of development. As the sages say, if a person has passed the initiating situation and survived, he has become stronger. It is not easy to survive, but the chances increase if a person knows what lesson he is going through, what is required of him. Therefore, it is necessary to recognize initiating situations in time and competently behave in them. Especially when there is a threat of falling into a trap. Actually, this is the applied value of the concept of male archetypes and plots. Male initiating situations have two main aspects: □ sacred; □ social. The sacred content of the initiating situation is connected with the inner deep rebirth of the hero, the person. The result of such a rebirth is an increase in the level of responsibility for the consequences of using one's own strength, as well as the level of responsibility for other people. External events may look like objective difficulties, obstacles. Less often, external events are connected with Love that suddenly fell upon the hero. One of the purposes of Love is to create sacred rebirths. This is true for both women and men. However, for men Love can be a serious shock. It also happens that an outwardly insignificant event, from the point of view of the layman, can actually be a sacred initiation for the hero. Everything is very subtle, individual. It is important what inner meaning the hero puts into the event, how he relates to it, what feelings it evokes in him. By the nature of this relationship, the fairy tale therapist can determine whether the given situation is an initiating event. The initiating event, sacred initiation, is always filled with very vivid experiences. It's not easy to get through. A successful sacred initiation changes the quality of the hero's vision and guidance: □ he sees other people more and more clearly, their hidden motives, desires, aspirations; □ he is more sensitive to changes in external circumstances and is able to flexibly rebuild his own behavior strategy; □ he foresees the consequences of his own and other people's actions in the distant future and, on the basis of this, corrects his own decisions in the present; □ he understands his individuality and needs better; □ he gains access to powerful sacred forces manifested in the surrounding World. ~32~ How many such sacred initiations does a hero and a person need to go through in their lifetime? There is no answer to this question. It is only obvious that large and small sacred initiations begin in the life of a man from a very early age. Moreover, the volume of initiating tasks is given strictly according to the forces. For example, the strength of little Hercules allowed him to fight two terrible snakes while still in the cradle. Modern Hercules already in infancy begin to fight with diseases, actively fighting for their lives. And the first initiating situation for a man is Birth. By the way, the first words spoken by obstetricians are remembered for a lifetime ... ... "Well, a wrestler was born!" - says the doctor, tiredly wiping sweat after a difficult birth. Thus the little hero began his struggle from the first moments of his life. He went through his path of victories and defeats, ups and downs, courageously enduring hardships. When he experienced fatigue and disappointment, he turned to a fairy tale therapist. After several consultations, he understood the meaning of many ~zz~ How many such sacred initiations does a hero and a person need to go through in his life? initiating situations of his life, accepted his path and perked up. Thus, the very understanding of the sacred purpose of initiating situations gave this man a significant support in life... So, the sacred initiation changes the inner self-perception of the hero. But it does not always immediately change his social status. The social content of the initiating situation changes the flow of external events around the hero. He gets a new job (for example, with the king-father); he becomes a leader among a group of people; power, money, new social opportunities fall on him, unexpectedly or unexpectedly. Agree, how can you not dizzy here?! In order to stop the dizziness in time, it is important for the hero to understand that he has found himself in a whirlpool of social initiation. Yes, now he has more social opportunities, power, subordinates, money. But above all, it is RESPONSIBILITY, obligations, duty and incredible diligence. If during the period of social initiation the hero relaxes and begins to use the resource that has been opened up mainly for his own purposes, trouble will not be long in coming. ~ 34 ~ The mentors prepared the hero for a long time for social initiation. From infancy, heirs to the throne were trained to carry the burden of power. To become a knight, one had to undergo special training and testing. And it is not easy for those on whom new social opportunities and great responsibility fall from the sky! The temptation to exercise power is not easy to avoid. In social initiation, the initiation ritual itself is extremely important. Many such rituals are known: Inauguration, Ordination to the dignity, Anointing to the kingdom, Knighting, Oath. Why is ritual important here? In the process of the ritual action itself, the hero's psyche is rebuilt to accept a greater amount of responsibility, the inner core is strengthened, and thinking changes. But the most important purpose of the ritual of social initiation is the consecration by God of a new social quality of the hero and his future path. For example, in the ritual of the Wedding, a new quality of the hero is consecrated and blessed - to be the head of the family; in the ritual of the Coronation, the new status of the head of state is consecrated and blessed. In the old days, people, heroes sought to receive a blessing for a change in social status. And in this aspiration there is a deep understanding of the necessity of the ~35~ Divine Patronage in the process of social growth. It was this Supreme Protection that was the main protection for the hero. Unfortunately, in modern secular rituals of social initiation, this spiritual content is disappearing. It is replaced by an oath of allegiance to a certain community of people. However, humans cannot give their leader Divine Favor. Therefore, new leaders are more vulnerable than their ancient predecessors. The people themselves become less protected, before whom oaths are pronounced... These arguments lead us to a simple thought: any social initiation must be accompanied by an appropriate ritual. If there is no such thing, people will invent it and conduct it themselves. For example, you were promoted - if you please, put down, mark the promotion. But the banquet is not a ritual of social initiation. He cannot help the hero to reorganize qualitatively in order to bear the new burden of power. For example, in the fairy tale “The Little Humpbacked Horse” one can find a symbolically described technology of the hero's social initiation: 36 ~ □ first, the hero fulfills all the orders of the king - that is, he passes the test of skill and devotion; □ in the final, he must plunge into boiling milk, then into cold water - a kind of symbolic hardening before accepting a new social quality. Of course, in the old rituals of social initiation, feasting was obligatory. But the feast, the banquet, is only a symbolic reflection of the celebration of the completion of the initiation. Today it is important to restore the culture of rituals of social initiation. For example, in business, they can become part of the corporate culture (promotion rituals). In educational institutions, it is useful to think through the rituals of transition from one level of school to another. From primary to secondary, from secondary to senior, from senior to adulthood. Each occasion requires a special ritual. The ritual helps develop self-discipline and responsibility. There are two motifs in the content of the ritual: death and birth. The hero symbolically dies for his old quality and is symbolically born for a new one. What does it mean to “die to your old quality”? Abandon those behaviors that have already outgrown. From infantilism ~37~, first of all. “To be born to a new quality” is to make a responsible promise to manifest the best qualities of one's own nature and to do everything possible to fulfill this. What words and actions should we put into these ancient principles? This requires the thought and creativity of those who will work to develop new rituals. So, we have agreed that initiating situations have a sacred and social content. Thanks to the initiating situation, an internal rebirth of the hero takes place and a change in his social status takes place. Every time after initiation, a man's degree of responsibility increases □ for the consequences of using his own power; □ for those who trusted him with their lives and hopes for the future. With this approach, any male fairy tale can be safely called a story about the peculiarities of male initiation. The plot of a fairy tale is formed by initiating events. Initiating events are external circumstances that gradually lead the hero to initiation. Each initiating event carries a sacred and social aspect, the content of which we discussed above. ~38~ There are three types of initiating events in Complex Fairytale Therapy©. Figuratively, we call them like this: O "Survival"; About "Management of force"; About "Woman". Each of these initiating events is capable of giving rise to a full-fledged plot of a male fairy tale. The combination of initiating events is called Life. Therefore, each type of initiating events is worthy of separate consideration. The first type of initiating events is "Survival". Circumstances are not in favor of the hero. He is in serious trouble. Things are out of his control. Events develop according to the scenario of an avalanche. As a result of this whirlwind of events, the hero is forced to survive in unbearable conditions (on a desert island, in prison, among enemies - in a word, in a situation of extreme embarrassment). In such circumstances, anyone can break down, die, but not a hero. He eats pasture, finds sources of meaning in circumstances, forms a new goal. Fairy-tale characters travel without funds and survive, they do not ~39~ break down, being imprisoned, they organize a new life in uninhabited territories. In some ancient cultures, the teacher would send the student into the forest with no supplies, only light weapons. It was a lesson in survival. In the old days, preparations were made for such initiating events. And today?.. A natural question arises: what helps the hero to survive? First of all, PREPAREDNESS. Namely: the presence of useful habits, skills, as well as self-discipline and work. Understanding this leads us to a simple thought: one of the most important tasks of raising boys is learning to survive. I must say that the boys themselves feel the need to learn how to survive. Therefore, they like it so much, for example, all kinds of hikes of varying degrees of difficulty. But in the modern world of abundance and comfort, parental care, it is difficult to learn how to survive. It happens that life gives a boy a gift - he comes to a class in which he really needs to survive in a team of tough peers. Often, parents in such cases grab their heads and demand immediate help. Of course, the young hero needs support. But in what? In avoiding a situation of survival or in its competent passage? ~40~ The storyteller can help with the passage of the initiating event. The main thing here is to understand the subtle purpose of the situation. The strategic task is to survive and take their own place in the group. Tactics: A combination of patience, observation and action. The main conditions for the competent passage of the initiating event of the “Survival” type are maintaining the presence of mind and the mood for long-term work. In the epicenter of initiating events, powerlessness, a sense of lack of meaning, laziness and relaxation are unacceptable for the hero. He has to be a thousand times more careful - after all, the slightest change in external circumstances can give him a chance to win or, conversely, increase the threat. A storyteller can train young characters to survive on a symbolic level by telling stories of those who experienced a similar initiating event. The working plot of the tale is quite simple. Its key points are as follows: 1. "Whirlwind of events." As a result of incredible, dramatic, even tragic events, the hero finds himself in a situation where he has to survive. ~41~ 2. "First shock". At first, the hero does not believe what happened, he hopes for help, for a quick change in the situation. Gradually, he realizes that no one will help him. He can fall into the trap of cowardice and lose heart, refuse to fight. But then he pulls himself together and decides to live. 3. "Adaptation". The hero carefully looks at what surrounds him. Studying the environment in terms of how it can be useful for survival. He finds the meaning of his new existence. Forms a specific goal and begins to systematically work for its implementation. All his knowledge and skills come in handy. Gradually, he develops new habits that help him live. 4. "The long-awaited deliverance." The hero achieves his goal, or a miraculous event occurs, thanks to which he receives a well-deserved reward. Stories with such a plot can be told in the fairy tale therapist's office, acted out in the sandbox and with the help of puppets. But such tales acquire special value in campaigns. It would be great if parents would tell ~42 such stories, purposefully developing good habits and survival skills in their sons. The second type of initiating events is "Management of Force". Circumstances teach the hero to show the power of a certain male archetype and learn to control it. To better understand the second type of initiating events, we need to return to talking about male archetypes. Within the hero (and certainly within us) the masculine forces of the Warrior, the Monarch, the Peasant, the Merchant, the Philosopher, the Monk, and the Servant operate. Each of them forms a certain desire, motivation; models traps-tests, contains information about the principles of the passage of the initiating event, sets the direction of our evolution. To better understand the action of the male archetype, we will use the following concepts: the basic motivation of the archetype, the main task of the archetype, the initiating lesson, key values, the evolutionary task, the trap of the archetype. The basic motivation of the archetype is the main result, the main aspiration, what needs to be achieved MANDATORY. Otherwise, what's the point of showing this masculine power? Basic motivation forms the vector of male power. ~43~ The experience of researching fairy tales, professional and life observations show that it is impossible to change the basic motivation. And certainly not necessary. Why change the order of things? But it is necessary to understand and accept the basic motivation. The main task of the archetype is the meaning of the functioning of the archetypal force. Exactly what it was created for. The fulfillment of the main archetypal task is obligatory. It is not possible to cancel its execution. The initiating lesson is the main meaning of a certain dramatic situation that required the maximum effort from the hero of a fairy tale (or a person). Through the most difficult situations in which it is easy to break down, the inner core is strengthened. The initiating lesson answers the question: “Why did you have to go through this?” Key values are what is most important for the bearer of a certain archetypal masculine power. A large amount of resource energy is concentrated in the key values; they nourish the spiritual and physical strength of the hero. The evolutionary task is what the hero has to learn. This is the most difficult lesson, the understanding of which ~44~ develops in the hero gradually, thanks to the synthesis of experience learned from many situations. The trap is the Achilles' heel of this archetypal matrix. That vulnerable spot that needs to be kept under constant conscious control. When vigilance is weakened, the hero easily falls into the trap of the archetype and becomes involved in dramatic and even tragic events. Ignorance of traps does not exempt from their action. If a hero falls into an archetype's trap, they are knocked back. Release from the trap takes a lot of time and effort, distracting the hero (and the person) from his Path. Look, please, at male archetypes from the standpoint of these concepts: Archetype and its basic motivation Warrior. To be first! Monarch. Be in charge! The main task To defend one's own position, to protect the weak, to fight for justice, to expand one's own territory To take responsibility for something important, to realize that the fate of other people depends on you, your decisions Initiating lesson Survive defeat , learn to manage one's own anger, aggression Survive betrayal, isolation, loss of influence, control over the situation Key values Justice. Defense of Justice. Struggles Responsibility for others. Power as service to people Evolutionary task To learn to distinguish the justice of people from the Divine Justice. Learn to manage your own strength Awareness of the common connectedness of all people and responsibility for the common good. Concern about observance among people of the highest values. Comprehension of human individuality and care for people on the basis of understanding their difference. Making wise, informed decisions based on the “golden mean” principle. Trap There is a danger of being used by other people for their own selfish purposes, “for the sake of justice”. There is a danger of affective states in which tragic acts are committed, subsequently leading to repentance. Fascination with the external side of power, its benefits, ignoring responsibility (“Sword of Damocles”). Despotism, imposing one's own will on people and circumstances. Imbalance in decision-making - transition from one extreme to another Archetype and its basic motivation Peasant. To be rich, to live steadily with a big family! Merchant (combinator). To be interesting, to live in a state of Adventure! The main task To ensure material stability, a better quality of life, to create a decent way of life, traditions It is easier to deal with difficult life situations by combining options for getting out of them, to perceive life as an adventure Initiating lesson Survive loss - both of something significant material, and loved one Learning to become serious when the situation really requires it, realizing that life is not a game. Key values Family, land, homeland, material wealth, earthly happiness Road, process, constant movement Evolutionary task To learn to focus on the best that is available at the moment. Learn not to be attached to property and wealth. Having and owning it, be free from it Comprehension of the value and uniqueness of every lived moment of life. Development of sensitivity to the smallest changes in the flow of life Trap Cultivation in one's own thoughts and feelings of social anxiety due to possible losses, losses, shortages, deprivations. Bustle. "Serving wealth", greed, envy of the prosperity of others. Evaluation of a person solely by his material achievements Boredom due to the lack of bright events and adventures in life. The desire to weave intrigues, manipulate people, play with them. The danger of “gambling addiction” Archetype and its basic motivation Philosopher. Comprehend the truth, create your own theory of life, pass it on to people! Monk. Serve High Idea , God! The main task To understand what is happening, in the cause-and-effect relationships of phenomena and events To find one's own Purpose, an idea that one can worthily serve, devote one's life to. Gain faith in God Initiating lesson Survive disappointment in your own concept of the world, life; realize the imperfection of one's own theory and views; recognize misconceptions and mistakes Crisis of faith, existential crisis, crisis of values. Everything that you believed in before turns to dust Key values Mystery of Existence, Mystery of life phenomena and situations Super-Idea, God Evolutionary task Comprehension of nature and life, all its phenomena, as a Divine Creation Perfection “heart gift”, “development of the heart”: kind, loving heart, radiating love. Trap Multiplication of non-spiritual knowledge, creation of concepts that ignore or belittle the Divine plan, mislead people and tempt them. Empty “wisdom” is a vain demonstration of one’s own knowledge, reasoning “about nothing”. The choice of the idea of destruction as a “guide” (the tragedy of Rodion Raskolnikov). Violation of the first commandment Archetype and its basic motivation Servant (Slave). Serve a worthy master! Main task Patience, humility, submission to circumstances that cannot be changed. Acceptance of figures that cause aggression as teachers, coaches, bosses. Service. Renunciation of self-will Initiating lesson Loss of the owner. The crisis of the "serving person": whom to serve? where to go? what to do with your own freedom? Key values Freedom. The will of God, the will of the master Evolutionary task Development of self-discipline, punctuality, ability to plan and competently manage time. Development of sensitivity to changing circumstances and humility. Trap Manifestation of infantilism, lack of independence, irresponsibility. Untalented "burning" of life. Lack of purpose. Lack of Discipline Now let's try to understand what kind of initiating events the hero needs to go through in order to learn to control his own masculine power more subtly and competently. To do this, let's decompose the initiating events into male archetypes: □ in order to competently manage the archetypal power of the Warrior, the hero needs to experience not only victories, but also defeats; □ in order to competently manage the archetypal power of the Monarch, the hero needs to go through not only the delights of power, but also betrayal; □ in order to competently manage the archetypal power of the Peasant, the hero needs to experience not only prosperity, but also losses; □ in order to competently manage the archetypal power of the Merchant, the hero needs to experience not only the joy of beautiful combinations, but also the feeling of a dead end, the insolubility of the problem; □ in order to competently manage the archetypal power of the Philosopher, the hero needs not only to experience happiness from realizing the harmony of his own theory, but also to feel its imperfection and even collapse; ~50~ □ in order to competently manage the archetypal power of the Monk, the hero needs to experience not only grace, but also a crisis of faith; □ In order to competently manage the archetypal power of the Servant, the hero needs to experience not only a sense of belonging to someone or something, but also a sense of freedom. You also need to prepare for the initiating events of "Power Management". Life itself offers boys small and large initiating events of this type. But a more complete preparation is unthinkable without worthy stories. We will analyze the working plots of such fairy tales in the next part of the book, when we talk about each male archetype in detail. The third type of initiating events is "Woman". Manhood helps the hero to gain not only victory over the enemy or circumstances, but also a woman. “When I was eleven years old, I broke open my pig and went to visit the sluts. Piglet is a piggy bank made of glazed porcelain with a small slot where you can drop coins, but you won't be able to take them out.<...>This means that there were two hundred francs in the womb of the piglet. Two hundred francs - that's how much the girl from Paradise Street cost. That was the price of gaining masculinity.<...>We went upstairs. I could hardly believe: she was twenty-two, just an old woman, and now she belongs to me. She explained to me how to wash, then how to make love.<...> Well, I became a man by being baptized in the womb of a woman; I could barely stand on my feet, they were trembling so much, and the troubles had already begun: I forgot about the notorious gift. I hastily rushed home, rushed to my room, looked around it in search of the most valuable thing that you can give, and immediately rushed back to Paradise Street. The girl was still standing on the porch. I gave her my teddy bear.”1 Such is the touching confession of little Momo, who independently created an initiating male event called “Woman”. The strength of the male desire to be baptized in the womb of a woman is so great that it can become the engine of many useful deeds and deeds. Therefore, this initiation is 1 Schmitt E.-E. Monsieur Ibrahim and the flowers of the Koran. SPb.: Azbuka-klassika, 2005. ~ 52~ The turning event was used as a prize in many cultures. Restraint and accumulation of sexual energy strengthens the achievement motivation in the hero. Sexual detente with a woman for some time dulls the active desire in a man to achieve and win (by the way, partly for this reason, before important events: decisions, battles, the hero was recommended sexual abstinence). The first sexual experience of a young man is a bright initiating event. After passing it, many have the illusion that now they are “real men”. This is what happens in the modern world. And this is a false understanding of the initiating event called “Woman”. Let's try to restore the sacred meaning of this initiating event. In order for masculinity to wake up, take shape and fulfill itself, a man needs to learn how to manage his own strength, survive in any conditions and continue his family. The last type of initiating events is connected precisely with the fact that a man cannot do it on his own. It takes a woman to procreate. It seems that if you have mastered it, you have already automatically received 53 ~ the right to procreate. This is one of the pitfalls of this triggering event. Intimacy with a woman gives a release of tension, but not the right to procreate. However, even hasty intimacy can lead to conception - in this case, the genus will formally continue. But it will continue physically. But what about spiritual fulfillment? In initiating events associated with a woman, at least two aspects are important: physical and spiritual. If the physical aspect of this male initiation is perceived by the majority with understanding and joy, then the spiritual aspect is in the background. And this leads to very unpleasant consequences. In ancient cultures, great importance was attached to the spiritual aspect of intimacy with a woman. And the young man was specially taught this. The mentor, teacher of the young man was an experienced and perspicacious woman. As a rule, she lived at a distance from people, was more educated than her relatives, and sometimes practiced medicine. In Russian fairy tales, this is Baba Yaga. The initiation of good fellows is another secret symbolic load of this amazing female image. 54 “Feed, drink, wash in the banya, put to bed” - besides other symbolic loads, this traditional request of the hero to Baba Yaga contains information about the technology of male initiation of this type. Fed, watered, washed in a bath and repeatedly put to bed, the hero remains for some time in the service of Baba Yaga, fulfills her instructions. When she is convinced of his readiness for a new life, she lets him go or he leaves on his own. In any case, parting is inevitable. Otherwise - regression. Unfortunately, the technology of male initiation by Baba Yaga is not described in detail in old fairy tales. Either it has to do with the chastity of the stories, or this information was seized by spontaneous and organized censors during retelling, or this dedication must remain a secret. However, any archetypal information does not disappear anywhere, it is stored in the information storerooms of the Universe, can be obtained, deciphered and transmitted through author's fairy tales. It exists both in ancient stories (for example, “Daphnis and Chloe” or “Ho- ~55~ Archetypal information does not disappear anywhere, it is stored in the information storehouses of the Universe. The bunker of the Copper Mountain”), and in modern ones (for example, “ The Beekeeper" by Maxence Fermin2, the film "Sweet November", etc.). The storyteller can create own fairy tale when there is a need to convey information about this type of triggering events. The working plot of these stories is as follows: 1. Acquaintance with the hero. He has a lover, but he does not know how to approach her, how to treat a woman. Or he is simply in search of his own path, in his history there have already been connections with women who either disappointed him or did not inspire him. 2. Meeting with the Mentor. By coincidence (suggested by the fantasy of the author of the tale), the hero meets the Mentor. Either he accidentally came across her hut, standing alone in the forest, or he consciously searched for her, or he was led to her by a friend or teacher. At first, the Mentor does not impress the hero. Moreover, She can test Him (drive Him away, give difficult tasks, show shadow aspects of her own character, provoke Him). However, He endures everything and remains in her house. 3. Training. The mentor teaches the hero the culture of behavior with a woman. Shows how to understand her world, how to care for her. She takes care of the hero herself, demonstrates the feminine skill of care, play and love. The hero discovers the world of a woman hitherto hidden from him and experiences happiness. 4. Trap. The hero begins to feel that he is in love, and he wants to stay with his Mentor forever. He says that he will not find a better woman in his life. The mentor patiently explains to the hero that falling in love is only a means for learning or its “by-product”. His desire to stay with Her forever is the trap of the initiating event. The true task of the hero is to remember, to keep everything he has learned, to find his Woman and pass on to her the knowledge that he now carries in himself. The hero does not want to put up with the inevitable parting, does everything possible to stay with the Mentor. The trap is that he confuses the Mentor with His Woman. His task is to let go of the Mentor and find His Woman. The task is difficult, because the Own Woman is not - ~ 57 ~ what is ephemeral, what else needs to be looked for; and the Guide is a real woman who is within reach. The hero is going through a serious crisis. 5. Parting and the beginning of a new life. This part of the plot of the tale can have several variants. The mentor can simply disappear, leaving behind signs by which the hero understands that there is no need to look for her and it is impossible to find her. Or the Mentor, being a sorceress, can change her own appearance in such a way (for example, drastically age him) that the hero himself understands the absurdity of his own dreams of living together with her. Or the hero, having competently survived the crisis and left a gift to the Mentor, leaves with gratitude. He returns to his girlfriend or meets his Woman on the way and begins to build relationships in which he is helped by the knowledge acquired with the Mentor. A beautifully and competently passed initiating event with a woman spiritualizes all subsequent relationships of the hero. In the practice of psychological counseling, we often encounter relationships based on the mechanism of this type of male initiation. A woman turns out to be much older than a man (both in terms of physical age and evolutionary level), she acts in relation to her partner as a mentor and a donor. At a certain moment, when a man reaches a sufficient level of social opportunities, an active conflict develops. A woman suffers, not understanding what is her fault, what makes her irritate a man. He accuses her of holding back his development. It is hard for her to hear such reproaches - after all, she gave a lot of strength to bring him into the appropriate orbit. Of course, these contradictions can be explained by a banal oedipal complex. But the fairy tale therapist usually “dives” for interpretations of what is happening deeper - to the origins of the initiating event. In this case, the problem is obvious: he and she are trapped in a triggering event. The drama of the situation is that both will have to accept the need for separation. In this case, the main task of the fairy tale therapist is to help complete the plot of the relationship beautifully and with dignity. Any completion of the plot begins with gratitude. Baba Yaga thanks the good fellow for her service, and he thanks her for her science. ~ 59~ Of course, there are unique cases when the Mentor really turns out to be “His Woman” for a man and a genuine feeling of Love arises between them. This is a great rarity, an exception confirming general rules initiating events. So, the first key to the secret cipher of male fairy tales is information about male initiation, initiating events. We try to decipher the fairy tale from this angle, and then we make up stories in which we consciously encrypt what we have learned. Thus, subtle information becomes more accessible for understanding by those who turn to us for help. By itself, writing, telling, acting out stories that carry information about male initiations prepares a boy, a young man for an independent worthy passage of initiating events in real life. The second key of male fairy tales: new evolutionary states The heroes of male fairy tales do not sit still. They must be on their way. What for? Firstly, the road itself is interesting and unpredictable. This is intriguing. Secondly, the hero has a certain formal task that needs to be completed: save the princess, return the treasure to its rightful owner, and finally, see the world and show yourself. But the main, secret answer to the question "why" is not this. In fact, the hero goes on a journey to change his own EVOLUTIONARY STATE. In fact, he doesn't even know about it. He is not familiar with this strange term "evolutionary state" at all. As, in fact, so far we are with you. ~61~ to code Evolution is a process of development, change of something from one state to another. Moreover, these changes occur gradually, without sudden jumps. In other words, in the process of developing a fairy tale plot, the evolution of the main character takes place. Smooth, beautiful, and eventful. According to the plot of the tale, the hero moves from one state to another. His path is a change of intermediate states. The result of the path is a fundamentally new evolutionary state associated with one of the main “male tasks”. The evolutionary state is a new quality of the hero as a bearer of a pronounced "male principle". In a nutshell, this concept can be expressed by the saying: "I was a boy - I became a man." Actually, the hero of a male fairy tale starts from the evolutionary state of a boy (even if he has been a good fellow for a long time) and must come to a new evolutionary state of a man. For the sake of this, he sets off on a journey, for the sake of this "the fairy tale affects." Based on the analysis of fairy tales in the Complex Fairytale Therapy ©, seven new evolutionary states of the hero are distinguished: ~62~ □ Head of the Family; □ Master; □ Winner; □ Perspicacious; □ Singing Heart; □ Wanderer; □ Partner. Perhaps there are many more evolutionary states. But the huge information array of fairy tales, epics, legends and parables, which has been reworked, allows us to single out these seven. A new evolutionary state opens up new opportunities for the hero to control external circumstances. □ The Head of the Family manages the Family; □ Master manages life circumstances and events; □ The winner controls enemies and obstacles; □ The perspicacious manages people and future events; □ The Singing Heart governs itself and relationships with the closest people, beloved, maintaining a spiritual and emotional connection with God; ~63~ □ The Wanderer controls His Path; □ Partner manages groups of people. The path that the hero takes to reach these new evolutionary states is encoded in seven male archetypal plots. Let me introduce them to you. 1. Father's house. In this plot, relations with parents are clearly manifested, often disharmonious3. The hero will inevitably leave the parental home to go his own way. In the final, he will definitely return home already successful and independent. He will forgive his parents, and they will forgive him. His new evolutionary state is the HEAD OF THE KIND. 2. Road to Mastery. In this plot, the hero often finds himself in a vulnerable position as a student or servant, he is forced to serve a not very wise master, endure injustice. He receives tasks, the true purpose of which is his death. The hero copes with impossible tasks, defeats the master or teacher, and acquires a 3 As in the Russian folk tales "Fake Illness", "Bird's Tongue" or the Brothers Grimm's fairy tale "A Boy With a Thumb". ~ 64 ~ strength. He withstands all trials and becomes stronger, acquires the power of the Master. What kind of power this is is clearly seen in the fairy tale “By the command of a pike”. We find the hero Emelya already in the "state of the Master." He does not waste his own strength in vain, he accurately recognizes the moment when a magic pike appears in the hole, and knows how to subtly use the situation that has arisen. Due to the fact that readers of the fairy tale do not know the background of Emelya's path, many people have a false perception of the hero as an infantile lazy person. It is important to remember that in fairy tales there is a special logic of justice, according to which happiness and new opportunities are not given to the lazy. In this regard, the fairy tale "By the Pike" is a unique continuation of fairy tales with the plot "The Road to Mastery". New evolutionary state of the hero - MASTER. 3. Savior. In this plot, the hero wages an open or hidden battle with enemies, protects the innocent and defenseless, saves victims from inevitable death. He rarely thinks about the consequences, saving those who really need it. He often shows modesty and even hides at the moment when ~65~ should receive a reward4. When a hero saves another, his strength is multiplied. The path of the Savior is the consistent multiplication of one's own strength. The new evolutionary state of the hero is the WINNER. 4. Hidden enemies. In this story, the hero is faced with the shadowy nature of the people around him, with hidden aggression directed against him. He is treated treacherously, he is betrayed by those whom he fully trusted, he becomes a victim of monstrous injustice. There is a significant trap in this plot - the emergence of a natural passion for revenge. However, the hero of fairy tales (unlike the hero of myths) does not fall into it, forgives offenders and restores justice without resorting to revenge. The new evolutionary state of the hero - CLEAR. 5. Love. This is perhaps the most complex and multi-variant male plot. The hero is looking for his love, beloved, fighting for her. Having found love, he 4 Here it is easy to recall the numerous stories about Batman and other superheroes from the new American "folklore". ~ 66 is often faced with a choice. He has to choose between love and duty, or between two lovers. A hero in love can be very vulnerable, but without love he is incomplete. In this plot, the hero often finds himself bewitched by the charms of his beloved, loses his vigilance and may even die. It is very difficult for a hero to learn to listen to his heart, resist female manipulation and open up to experiencing a true feeling that can change his life. New evolutionary state of the hero - SINGING HEART. 6. Eternal return. In this story, the hero is constantly on the road. He strives to return home as soon as possible, but the vicissitudes of the plot take him further and further into the Great Adventure. He is homesick, living on the idea of returning. On the one hand, this nourishes him, but on the other hand, it devalues his actual life impressions5. This plot runs through all the stories. 5 Of the modern film fairy tales, one can recall the films “For Matches” and “ White sun desert." 67 - the story about the main adventures of the hero is kept. The new evolutionary state of the hero is Wanderer. 7. Male brotherhood. In this story, the hero meets extraordinary friends, each of whom has a certain specific talent. For example, one can eat a lot at one time, the other is constantly cold, the third one moves very quickly. Alone, they cannot fully use their talents, but, having gathered all together, they “work as a team”. They competently distribute functions within their group and achieve results. This story reflects the spirit of community, cohesion and team performance. The main trap of this plot is the competition between the characters and the incorrect distribution of functions between them6. The principle of this archetypal plot is most clearly manifested in the legendary tale about the turnip. New evolutionary state of the hero - PARTNER. There are male fairy tales, where only one archetypal plot is vividly presented (“Turnip” - the plot “Male brotherhood”), but in most stories the ancient plots 6 As happened in the fairy tale “Bubble, Straw and Bast Shoes”. ~68~ intersect, overlap each other. For example, in the fairy tale "Gingerbread Man" you can see the following male archetypal plots: 1. "Father's house". Kolobok has parents who "gave birth" to him for themselves. Baked to eat. Why not the beginning of disharmonious relations in the family system? He leaves his parental home to go his own way. However, the ancient story does not end - Gingerbread Man does not return to his home. But this is logical - because the hero is not a man. It does not have the task of reinforcing a kind of new experience. The gingerbread man is born of bread and must be eaten. And where it happens is not so important. 2. "Eternal return." The gingerbread man rolls his way, meets new characters, acquires his own life experience. However, he does not have a clear goal, he does not seek to return home, he does not feel homesick. On the other hand, where is his real home? For the sake of the final stay in what “house” was it baked? Is not someone's stomach his "home" if it is bread? It turns out that from this point of view, the plot of the "Eternal Return" in this fairy tale completely unfolds and ends. Gingerbread Man unconsciously ~69~ is looking for a womb that would accept him, and from this position he finds himself inside the Fox. 3. "Hidden enemies." Close people - Grandfather and Grandmother - are actually going to betray Kolobok. They do not intend to take care of his long and happy life, even on the grounds that he must be eaten by them. Gingerbread man rolls away from his enemies, avoids death. Since he succeeds in doing this, he has the illusion of the magnitude of his own capabilities. This is one of the traps of the ancient story: running away from enemies does not mean defeating them. On the way our hero meets only enemies and not a single friend, not a single teacher. He is forced to run away, because he has no other ways to fight or interact with enemies. This plot is only partly completed in the fairy tale. Its completion - a warning to readers: the strategy of flight (rolling) from enemies sooner or later does not work. It is necessary to prepare oneself for the acceptance of battle, to master the means of waging an overt and covert struggle. In addition, Kolobok fell into the trap of the "Hidden Enemies" plot - the trap of revenge. His behavior with all the heroes of this story can be considered ~70~ as a form of revenge on Grandfather and Grandmother. Kolobok's revenge is not to feed the stomach of everyone he meets on the way. He does not want to become food, and this gives him courage. It seems to him that he tricked his enemies, took revenge on Grandfather and Grandmother, he already considers himself invulnerable, loses his vigilance, and ... the trap of the ancient plot is slammed shut. The plot ends with a natural ending. Vindictiveness, however veiled, inevitably leads to self-destruction. So, in a small male fairy tale about Kolobok, three archetypal plots are already intertwined. One of them (“Father's House”) is not completed, the other (“Hidden Enemies”) demonstrates the consequences of the hero falling into the trap of an ancient plot. Isn't this the reason that many children are so actively striving to rewrite or add to this story? the main character is not a piece of dough, but a little man with a funny name Kolobok. In long, eventful male stories, all seven archetypal plots are active. ~71~ Actually, the situation is the same with the “pattern of fate” of a person. Some plots are presented harmoniously and give strength for development, but there are plots into whose traps a person has already managed to please. They are easy to recognize, knowing the formula of the ancient plot. In each male archetypal plot, Challenge, Lesson and Trap are encrypted. A challenge is a provocation, a difficult task, an invitation for the hero to develop. By itself, the task-challenge suggests that the hero will cope with it. True, at first he himself does not believe in it, but he takes it and does it. A true hero always accepts the Challenge. The lesson is always connected with comprehension, direct experience of subtle aspects of universal values. The lesson is usually accompanied by the most difficult situations associated with losses, disappointments, betrayal and other events that outwardly look like trouble. But for the training of the hero, they are a boon. From the hero requires competent behavior based on understanding the meaning of the lesson. The more difficult the lesson, the richer the new evolutionary state. A trap is a temptation on the hero's path. The trap works like a funnel, sucking the hero into itself. Having fallen into a trap, he loses the clarity of understanding of the current moment, the accuracy of his assessments, and comes to wrong decisions. To get out of the trap, its diagnostics and identification, as well as external help, are required. Let's see what main Challenges, Lessons and Pitfalls are encoded in male archetypal plots. The plot and its evolutionary task "Father's House". Leave your family to walk your own path, returning to strengthen your family with new experiences and opportunities "Road to Mastery". Go through all life lessons, traps, trials in order to fulfill your own destiny and become a Master of Challenge Overcome infantilism, find your own path, while maintaining a sacred connection with home, family To increase the strength of the clan, thanks to one's achievements and experience. To show all that one is capable of, to explore one's own strengths and weaknesses, resources and opportunities. Find your teacher. Become a Master Lesson Accept mother and father as they are. Separate psychologically from your parents, especially from your mother. Forgive parents, gain mature Love for them Overcome all obstacles and temptations; learn to transform your own fear by finding its cause; gain power over oneself and decision-making power for others. Become the Chosen One Trap Infantilism, nihilism, conflict behavior. Or vice versa, the formation of a symbiotic relationship, especially with the mother Turn off the path, afraid of obstacles and trials, give up the Mastery. Failure to understand that the road to mastery consists of both success and non-success , losses and defeats. Dissatisfaction with what is available, a feeling of injustice of the Divine plan and what is happening; the desire for quick changes, getting everything at once. Thirst for power over the world, but not over oneself Examples of fairy tales and other stories Dunno, Imaginary illness, Ivan the Talentless and Elena the Wise, Three Kingdoms, Sivka Burka, Bird's tongue, the myth of Oedipe, "The Return of the Prodigal Son" "The Tale of Ivan Tsarevich and the Gray Wolf", "By Pike", "The Tale of the Blacksmith Velund", The Labors of Hercules, the Myth of Daedalus and Icarus, “The Book of Job” R. Bach “A Seagull named Jonathan Livingston” The plot and its evolutionary task “The Savior”. Multiply your own power by protecting the innocent "Hidden Enemies". To comprehend the shadow side of the closest people in order to accept them more subtly and wisely “Love”. Experience a genuine feeling of Love, separate this feeling from other “high feelings”: duty, responsibility, etc. Challenge Save the innocent, fight for justice, stand up for the weak Show wisdom and insight, resist ma- nipulation, learn to take into account the shadow nature of close people Open your heart to Love, keep Love in your heart, do not let your heart be “lazy” Lesson Having experienced disappointment, defeat in the struggle for a just cause of protection weak, inspire and move forward towards the goal Survive betrayal, “stab in the back”, recover “from the ashes”. Learn to restore justice without revenge, through the strategy of “teach the tormentor a lesson” Survive the loss of a loved one, everything that was dear, and at the same time keep Love in your heart without replacing it with despair, a sense of injustice and anger Trap Excessive pleasure - victory, turning into a “maniac-savior” Desire to take revenge on offenders, obsession with this passion Choice between several women to the detriment of the voice of the heart; replacement of Love by another: the desire to possess, a sense of duty, jealousy. An obsessive search for perfection. "Lazy" or "cold" heart. Egoism, cynicism, narcissism Examples of fairy tales and other stories “Ruslan and Lyudmila”, “Dunno”, “Marya beauty long braid and Vanyusha”, “Perseus and Andromeda” “Three Kingdoms”, “Go there, do not I Know Where”, “The Little Humpbacked Horse”, “Marko the Rich and Vasily the Unfortunate”, “Finist Yasen Sokol”, “The Frog Princess”, “Marya Morevna”, “Apollo and Daphne”, “Cupid and Psyche”, “Daphnis and Chloe”, the myth of Narcissus and many others, R. Bach “The Only One”, “Bridge over Eternity” The plot and its evolutionary task “Eternal Return”. To comprehend the secret of “here and now”, and “where I am now, there is my home” “Male brotherhood”. Learn to see, accept and respect the individuality of another, build long-term relationships of cooperation Challenge Continuously experience life as an adventure, as a process, accept all manifestations of life, appreciate every day, every It is a common life phenomenon To work in a team, cooperate with partners, competently allocate “areas of responsibility” in accordance with the capabilities and abilities of each person Lesson Lesson of Odysseus. Learn to apply your abilities in accordance with the current moment. Overcoming individualism, pride, selfishness, ambition for the sake of clear work in a team. Lesson of selfless friendship, self-sacrifice Trap To live according to the principle “I wish it would end soon”, dreaming about some distant result at the expense of current impressions Selfishness, individualism, infantilism, shortsightedness, illiterate distribution of “areas of responsibility” " in a team; accumulation of mutual grievances and inconsistencies Examples of fairy tales and other stories Kolobok, the story of Odysseus, all the stories about travelers and wanderers Seven Simeons, The Flying Ship, The Bremen Town Musicians, Bubble, Straw and Lapot ”, “Teremok”, “Three Little Pigs”, “Turnip”, the myth of the Argonauts and other stories So, we have seven paths to new evolutionary states. Each has its own challenges, lessons and traps. It's interesting to watch this. But to pass... In complex male fairy tales, one can see how ancient plots are superimposed on each other. This means that the hero experiences the challenges, lessons and pitfalls of several plots at the same time. Imagine how much strength it takes! But the result is worth it - the hero acquires not one, but several new evolutionary states. Each of them does not live its own separate life. They integrate inside the hero, inside the man, adorn him and give him the strength to control circumstances on a fundamentally new level. The same thing happens in a person's life. Only male plots are supplemented with female plots, relationship plots, the action of universal archetypes and much more... We are such multifaceted creatures! Imagine how many new evolutionary states are being formed within us at the same time! Each at its own pace, along its own special, secret route, with its own scenario and dynamics of living... Why is it necessary to understand the secret cipher of fairy tales? To learn to unravel their own life ~77~ plots, to get out of traps competently and to learn lessons, to come to new evolutionary states. Can this be avoided? The answer is negative. Even if we close our eyes or declare all this unimportant, it will not cease to operate in our lives. Archetypes, archetypal plots work regardless of our attitude towards them or knowledge about them. On the other hand, our life can also be read as a fascinating fairy tale... Well, now try to take a “male fairy tale” that is interesting to you and see what archetypal plots it is built on, what initiating events the hero goes through and to what it comes to evolutionary states. And in the third part of the book, we will return to this issue even more prepared. A fairy tale, male or female, harmonizes the action of ancient plots on an unconsciously symbolic level, warns us of possible traps and subtly prepares us for the passage of initiating situations on our real life path. The unconscious of a little person subtly selects stories for ~78~ Our life can also be read like a fascinating fairy tale. such learning and harmonization. The child asks his parents to read him the same fairy tale. Which one? What plots are active there: male or female? What ancient plot wants to harmonize the child's subconscious now? What is he preparing himself for? Wise parents can reflect on these questions (by the way, thus activating the archetype of the Philosopher). Knowledge of archetypal plots gives us a more subtle understanding of the meaning of the events taking place in our lives. The difficulties we experience are caused by initiating situations. They also need to be subtly recognized in order to behave competently. For illiterate behavior can aggravate a difficult situation, significantly prolong it. This, in turn, will cause a rush of destructive thoughts and feelings that are completely inappropriate in difficult situations. The sages say: “Testing is always given according to one's strength. If you clearly recognize the meaning of the test, then you have a chance not to aggravate it. In other words, all difficult life situations have a specific code encrypted in ancient stories and archetypes. Joyful situations also have their own code, and it is also encrypted in ancient stories and archetypes. Some heroes (and people) need to be the first for joy, others - the main ones, the third - to have a stable income and a strong family, the fourth - to feel life as an adventure, the fifth - to learn the unknown, the sixth - to work in a team seventh - to feel useful to a great man... Or maybe all this at different moments of life is necessary for one person? .. Perhaps this is exactly so, because within us all seven male archetypes and ancient plots are represented, as well as female archetypes and plots, besides, ancient plots of relationships... We are so difficult and multidimensionally organized! Well, let's learn the hidden code of our joys and difficulties, evolutionary tasks and traps, by studying archetypes and ancient plots that appear through the plot of fairy tales... Part Two. Hero with "Seven Faces" Let me introduce you, here he is - Main character fairy tales. At the beginning of the story, he may be a simple guy (for nothing that the crown prince!), But in the final - he is always the Winner. How does your imagination draw it? Handsome, courageous, pretentious, kind, with a sparkle in his eyes, with curls fluttering in the wind? One way or another, in his character, aspirations, ways of solving difficult situations, the main seven male archetypes are reflected: Warrior, Monarch, Peasant, Merchant, Philosopher, Monk and Servant (Slave). We single out these seven male archetypes on the basis that for thousands of years all societies have had warriors, leaders, farmers, hunters and merchants, ~82~ sages, priests and servants. Archetypal matrices have acted in all times known to us, in different cultures directing men's activity in a special way, shaping lifestyles and basic aspirations. Our Hero with "seven faces" - because in each hero, in each of us, there are all seven male archetypes. They can be expressed in different ways, some stronger, others weaker, some constructive, others destructive. But we have all of them. After all, each male archetype is a kind of social instrument, a certain type of energy and a need for self-realization. A variety of fairy tale and mythological characters help us to "revive" our own archetypal matrices, demonstrate how they can "work" in various life situations. The study of fairy-tale characters from the point of view of the manifestation of male archetypes allows us to more subtly learn how to use archetypal principles in order to be flexible in various life situations. So, for example, in situations of struggle, we will need the strength of the Warrior archetype; in a leadership situation, the strength of the Monarch archetype; and in situations where we cannot change anything, the archetypal power of the Servant. ~83~ The male archetype is like a crystal with seven sides. Our task is to study each of them and learn how to use them. In the character of different fairy tale characters, archetypes are presented in different ways. There are characters-symbols - they most clearly represent two or three archetypes. But neither among the heroes, nor among the people there are those in whom only one archetype would work. Such a hero would be too flat, too symbolic, of little interest. Take, for example, Conan the Barbarian. This hero is a bright bearer of the Warrior archetype. But also the archetypes of the Monk (he is a lone warrior), the Monarch (he can be a leader), the Philosopher (he is constantly studying) are active in him. In other words, the character of a hero, like a person, is created by some individual COMBINATION OF ARCHETYPES. Thanks to this, the hero becomes alive and close to us. During the tale, the hero, getting into various situations, learns to control the forces of different archetypes and achieves success. Efficiency, success important indicator for the Hero (and for any man!). To achieve success, one must master the forces of all archetypal matrices. ~84 A fairy tale therapist, knowing the main male archetypes, selects or composes for his clients such stories, the hero of which manifests all the archetypal powers. If the strength of a certain archetype is represented weakly or disharmony in the client's character, the fairy tale therapist composes or selects a story to strengthen and harmonize this archetypal strength. The most important thing for the Hero is to bring his own strength into balance. Find your "middle way". At one time, King Shravan also faced such a task... King Shravan lived in a magnificent palace. He loved luxury and beautiful things. He constantly rebuilt his capital and turned it into one of the most beautiful cities. However, he was bored with everything, and, hearing that the Buddha had come to the city, he went to him and was so fascinated that he immediately asked to initiate him as a disciple. The Buddha hesitated and reluctantly initiated him. Everyone was amazed. People could not believe it, no one could even imagine it, because Shravan was an extremely worldly person who indulged his every desire, even the most extreme. His usual occupation was wine and women. It was so unexpected! Buddha was asked: ~85~ - What happened? It's a miracle! Shravan is not that type of person, and besides, he lived so luxuriously. Until now, we could not even imagine that Shravan could be your student. So what happened? Did you do something? The Buddha said, “I didn't do anything. The mind can easily move from one extreme to another. This is the ordinary way of the mind. So Shravan is not doing anything new. This was to be expected. You are so amazed because you do not know the laws that govern the actions of the mind. The man who went mad wanting riches now goes mad refusing wealth, but the madness remains - and that is the whole mind. Shravan became a mendicant monk, and soon other disciples of the Buddha began to observe that he was moving to the other extreme. The Buddha never asked his disciples to go naked, and Shravan stopped dressing. He was the only student who went naked and practiced self-torture. The Buddha allowed one meal a day, but Shravan ate once every other day. While the disciples meditated under the trees in the shade, he remained under the scorching sun. He used to be handsome man , he had a beautiful body, but after six months no one could recognize him. One evening the Buddha approached him and said, “Shravan, I heard that in the old days you loved to play the guitar and were a good musician. That's why I came to ask you one question. What happens if the guitar strings are loosened? ~86~ Shravan replied: - If the strings are loosened, then no music will come out. Then the Buddha asked: - And if the strings are pulled too hard, what will happen? Shravan replied, “Then it is also impossible to extract the music. The string tension should be medium - not slack or overstretched, but exactly in the middle. The guitar is easy to play, but only a master can tune the strings correctly, you need a golden mean. And Buddha said, “That is what I wanted to say after watching you for six months. Music begins to sound in a person only when the strings of life are not weakened or overtightened, but right in the middle. So, Shravan, be a Master and know that excessive tension of strength turns into excess, and excessive relaxation into weakness. Bring your strength into balance and try to balance your spiritual abilities, and may this be your goal! It is not easy to balance the forces of all seven male archetypes. After all, they often act together, at the same time. Therefore, it is important to study the principles of operation of each archetypal force, learn to recognize it in current situations and in your character. Knowledge of the specifics of the work of male archetypes helps us to become more flexible: to use the necessary archetypal force in an actual situation. But first things first. Let's take a deeper look at the main seven male archetypes, the seven male, social forces that determine the self-realization of a man and a woman. The Warrior Archetype The great fighter bears and endures insults; he knows the weight of his fist and the power of his blow. Faced with an opponent who has not had time to prepare for battle, he looks into his eyes - into their very depths - and wins without even needing to use his physical strength. The more a warrior learns from his spiritual mentor, the brighter the light of faith flares up in his eyes, and he does not need to prove anything to anyone. P. Coelho Of course, the power of the Warrior is the most striking male archetypal power. It can be said that there is more destruction in it than creation. But this is only on the surface. ~89~ After all, each archetypal matrix contains an evolutionary idea. That is, the archetypal power is supposed to evolve. Yes, at the very initial evolutionary levels, the power of the Warrior is the power of destruction. But how could it be otherwise, because the enemies are not asleep! They must be destroyed! However, at higher evolutionary levels, it is the balanced strength of the Warrior that helps to achieve high results, to bring things to a victorious finale. It doesn't even have to take someone's life. In other words, the archetypal force of the Warrior can be both destructive and creative; both harmonious and disharmonious, depending on the current evolutionary level of the hero. At low evolutionary levels, a warrior fights, and his strength is multiplied by anger at the enemy. However, anger can also deprive the hero of strength, "anger obscures the eyes." Therefore, the evolution of the power of the Warrior is connected with the management of his anger. A "top level" warrior fights with a calm heart and wins. In this regard, let me tell you one old story about fighting without anger7... 7 The parable is given in the presentation of Osho. ~90~ It happened during the time of Omar, the great Islamic caliph. He fought his enemy for thirty years. The enemy was very strong and the battle went on for a lifetime. In the end, it happened one day that a favorable opportunity came: the enemy fell from his horse, and Omar jumped on him with a spear. In just a second, a spear could pierce an enemy's heart and it would all be over. But at that moment the enemy did one thing: he spat in Omar's face, and the spear stopped. Omar touched his face, got up and said to the enemy: - Tomorrow we will start all over again. The enemy was confused. He asked: - What's the matter? I have been waiting for this moment for thirty years, I have been waiting, hoping that someday I will put a spear to your chest and it will all be over. Such luck never came to me, but it did come to you. You could end me in an instant. What happened to you? Omar said: - It was an unusual war. I made a vow that I would fight without anger. For thirty years I fought without anger, but now anger has come. When you spat, I only felt anger for a moment, and our fight became personal. I wanted to kill you, and my ego came into it. Up to this point, for thirty years, there was no problem at all: we fought for a reason. You were not my enemy, it was in no way personal. I wasn't interested in killing you, I just wanted to win the case. But now, for a moment, ~91~ I forgot about the reason: you became my enemy, and I wanted to kill you. That's why I can't kill you now - for a moment there was anger in my heart. So tomorrow we'll start again. - But the battle never resumed, because the enemy became a friend. He said, "Now teach me." Be my master and let me be your student. I also want to fight without anger. The basic emotional force embedded in the archetypal matrix of the Warrior is the POWER OF ANGER. To be a real Warrior, you need to learn how to manage your anger. The Warrior archetype gives rise to plots in which the hero fights enemies, experiences defeats and victories, learns to control his passions, anger and physical strength. Warrior heroes include Hercules, Ilya Muromets, Conan, and Spider-Man; as well as numerous heroes, knights, soldiers, defenders. In a word, fighters and winners. The main, basic desire, “recorded” in the archetypal matrix of the Warrior, is the desire to win, to be the first, the best, the most successful, the most worthy. No matter what. All for the sake of victory. The key value idea of this archetype is the defense of Justice, the struggle for Justice. Any grip - 92 ~ ka - for the sake of Justice. Moreover, the hero's understanding of the idea of Justice also changes depending on his current evolutionary level. It is the comprehension of the idea of Justice that helps the consciousness of the hero to evolve. It is the idea of Justice that helps the hero learn to manage anger, directing it where it should be. At the earliest evolutionary levels, the strength of the Warrior is like a volcano, it does not know the idea of Justice. Therefore, the hero wants to fight in order to warm up, to play with valiant strength (“I fight because I fight,” Porthos used to say). For the evolution of the Warrior's power, a teacher is needed (inclusion of the archetype of the Philosopher), who will put the questions before the hero: □ For what? □ Why? □ At what cost? The figure of a teacher for the formation of a hero-warrior is extremely important. It is very difficult for the hero himself to learn how to control his own power. After all, when there is too much of it, it tears apart from the inside. The young man does not know where to put himself, where to apply his strength. The teacher of a real warrior must also be difficult. For example, Hercules ~ 93 ~ la was raised not by anyone, but by the wise centaur Chiron. Grey Wolf teaches Ivan Tsarevich, King Arthur is instructed by the wizard Merlin. An excess of the Warrior's strength is extremely inconvenient for educators. Children who have an uncontrollable excess of this archetypal force are today called "hyperactive". These are children with whom it is very difficult. But it is also not easy for them to manage their Warrior power. Remember Hercules. It was extremely difficult for the young hero to calculate his strength. More than once he committed unintentional murders, caused serious damage to others due to the fact that he could not cope with himself (more precisely, with the archetypal power of the Warrior). He repented and paid dearly for his transgressions. From the one who has great strength, the demand is greater. By the way, it was customary to bring up young warriors separately from other children. Unfortunately, not all of today's boys (and girls) with a pronounced Warrior archetype have a worthy teacher. Within the framework of the education system, women are mostly self-fulfilling. And the most they can do for a child warrior is to pick up fairy tales that reflect the warrior's evolutionary path. But this is not enough. It is extremely difficult for a woman (mother, educator, teacher, psychologist) ~94~ to replace a true teacher for a hero. Yes, and there are no such masculine tales, where a warrior hero would be taught by a woman. Exceptions are stories where a female Mentor creates an initiating event for the warrior hero (initiation in the womb of a woman). Therefore, we often recommend that mothers of sons (and daughters) with a strong Warrior archetype look for a worthy mentor. It can be a coach in the sports section, for example. In many fairy tales, the evolution of the Warrior's strength in the hero begins with how he sets out to restore justice: to defeat the enemy, to save the princess, to protect the weak. This fact is extremely important in the context of the psychological correction of children, adolescents, and even adults. In our Russian ethnos there are many people of different ages, in whom the power of the Warrior is pronounced, but unbalanced. They usually cause a lot of trouble to others. Yes, and with themselves, it is also very difficult for them. There are fathers who tell their son like this: “The main thing is to learn to fight, what is not for you, so you immediately - hit in the jaw!” In this case we see bright manifestation Warrior's powers at a low evolutionary level ~95~. And our task is to gradually, through fairy tales, convey to such a young man the knowledge of Justice. How? The fairy tale therapist selects (or composes) a fairy tale about a victorious warrior who spends his strength wisely in order to save the weak, the Fatherland, and restore Justice. Such stories harmonize the power of the Warrior on an unconsciously symbolic level, help it evolve. Let me give an example of such a story for those who are older. This is the tale of the Just Warrior. There lived a mighty warrior in the world. He mastered all the martial arts, possessed incredible strength and endurance. When asked: “Why are you always looking for war? What are you fighting for?” he replied: “For the sake of justice! Look how much injustice is around! The rich oppress the poor, enemies seize foreign lands, traitors weave intrigues!” And he alone went on a campaign to protect the weak and fight the strong. Once in one city in the market square, he saw a richly dressed man swing at a woman. This tale belongs to the pen of the author of this book. ~96~ wanting to hit her. The warrior quickly reacted, and in a few minutes the offender was already lying on the ground bound, and a blade was put to his throat. - Have mercy on me, good man! Why did you treat me like that?! - begged the defeated. How could you raise your hand against a defenseless woman! - menacingly barked warrior. "Who's the defenseless woman here?" - whined prostrate. - You miscalculated, warrior, this woman is the biggest deceiver on earth. Judge for yourself whether it is fair of her to do this to me! - What? You probably want to pity me, saving your own skin, - the warrior muttered and removed the hand with the blade from the neck of the defeated. “Sit down and tell me what happened between you,” he ordered. This woman is my neighbor. Some time ago she came to me in tears, begging for help. Her son lost a large sum of money at cards. To pay off the debt, she had to mortgage her house. But the son, wanting to recoup, lost again. And so she came to ask for my guarantee in order to take out a new loan. I felt sorry for her, and I agreed. She tearfully begged me to sign a paper saying that I vouched for her. When I signed a document, she covered part of it with her hand, as if helplessly leaning on the table where it lay. I didn't attach any importance to it then. And today the bailiffs came to me and ordered me to get out 97 ~ from my house, which now belongs to this deceiver! It turns out that I signed a cunning deed of deed in her name! So she clouded my mind with her fables, so skillfully acted out suffering! And tell me, is there any justice in this world after that?! - Yes, you're not deceiving me, wanting to save your skin? - the warrior drawled in puzzlement. Why should I deceive you? And why do I, homeless and slandered, need my skin? the man asked sadly. - Here, look - in my pocket is my copy of the document. A moment later, the warrior held a letter of dedication in his hands, from which the veracity of the words of his new acquaintance followed. - What a monstrous meanness! What an injustice! She deserves to die! - Cried the furious warrior and ran to look for the deceiver. It must be said that she did not try to hide, she calmly walked along the street with a firm gait. - Stop, unfortunate! shouted the warrior, grabbing her by the arm. - I don't know you, what do you want? the woman asked sternly, withdrawing her hand. - How dare you deceive that worthy man, leave him homeless?! Is he a worthy person? the woman chuckled. - That's perishing say, too! Will the worthy ones bring fallen women into their homes every day and commit debauchery right on ~98~ the balcony, embarrassing my children?! I asked him many times to stop the atrocities, but he only mocked me, continuing the lawlessness. - But is it fair to deprive him because of this shelter? - Asked the puzzled warrior. - Is it fair to corrupt my children with their outrages? the woman frowned. “But you tricked him into taking possession of his house!” - No deception, I just didn't tell him everything. He was drunk and thought he was signing his own petition for me to be flogged in the town square as a harlot. - You deceived him. - No deceit, I just taught a lesson to the one who was unfair to me and my children, - the woman said and went on her way. The warrior returned to his new acquaintance. “You deceived me by not telling about the atrocities you committed and the humiliations that you brought to that woman,” he said menacingly. - What atrocities are you talking about? It's just that this hag is eaten by envy that I, a young man, live life to the fullest. Isn't it fair to live to the fullest?! Better release me from the ropes. For the first time in his life, the warrior was puzzled. Before, justice was so clear: there was the offender and the victim, the strong and the weak. He was to punish offenders and protect the weak. And now... ~99~ What is the justice in this situation...? He walked away from this city in thought. He walked wherever his eyes looked, not making out the road, not noticing the injustices around. It seemed to him that he had lost the meaning of his life, which in the morning was whole and important. And so the road led him to a small hut, near which a gray-haired old man was sitting and repairing the net. - Hello, fisherman, - the warrior greeted the old man. - Hello, warrior, but I'm not a fisherman - responded the old man. - And who are you, if you repair the network? - asked the warrior. - And I'm a hunter of justice, - the old man answered. - Who-who?! - Are you deaf? I am a hunter of justice, you are a foolish warrior. What's incomprehensible here?! - So you're catching justice with this net? - Parting - shook the warrior. “When with a net, when with a whip,” the old man joked. “I don’t understand anything,” the warrior shook his head. - Yes, and there is nothing to understand. Here drink some kvass, sit down and listen, - the old man invited him. - It's simple, hero. Every man desires justice and demands to be treated fairly. Everyone complains about all sorts of injustices, and it turns out that justice is when everything turns in favor of a particular person, and injustice is ~ 100 ~ when the situation turns not in his favor. So it turns out, hero, that how many people, so many justices, everyone has their own. So why are you fighting now? - Oh, you completely confused me, old man, I don’t understand anything. What happens, there really is no justice in the world ?! - How is it - no ?! There is even a lot, so much so that you can even catch it with a net. You'd better tell me this, hero: don't you think that people are born equal into the world? - Like this?! What does it mean to be born equal? - That's what it means. “They will be born equal” means that they are worthy of one share, one justice for all, so everyone must be treated equally. - Don't confuse me, old man, I don't treat everyone equally. I punish offenders, but I protect the weak! - That's really "unequal". Yes, there are only two variants of your “dissimilarity”! And there are so many people! - How can I be? I'm confused, - the warrior admitted. “Remember, hero: the essence of justice lies in the unequal treatment of unequal people. Remember? - I remember, but I didn't understand... - People are not equal by nature and are not the same either in body, or soul, or spirit. They will be born as beings of different sexes, they will have different health and
