Visa-free passport. Visa-free countries for citizens of Ukraine

As the appearance new information on the issue of visa-free travel for Ukraine 2017, I will update and supplement this post.

I made my selection, which I checked from many sources, primarily for myself, my friends, regular readers of our blog, and also for those who accidentally dropped by to visit us.

I will be glad if it is useful for you as well.

I decided not be limited only a list of countries, and supplement the lists with another useful information (for example, embassy website address, duration of stay in the country, other necessary requirements). I will add this information as I learn and change.

I want to wish you and us bright travels :) so that there are more opportunities for traveling around the world with and without visas :).

Before leaving for another country note on the number of blank pages in the passport and its validity period.

In most cases, there must be at least 2 pages and at least 3 months before the expiration date of the passport. Although for each country you need to clarify the information.

By the way, Ukrainians can have two valid passports.

First you need to understand what a visa-free regime is. These are relations between countries when citizens of these states do not need permission to visit their territory. They are established by a multilateral agreement (an example is the Schengen area), by a bilateral agreement, and also unilaterally. An example of the latter option is Ukraine, which abolished visas for citizens of a number of developed countries. There is also a restriction on passports and their type.

Which countries can you travel to with an internal passport?

Let's start with the fact that there is still a list of states that a Russian can get into as easy as shelling pears. To do this, you do not need a foreign passport, it is enough to present a general civil one. Not to mention that the visa-free regime is fully supported. These countries include: South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Belarus. Until March 1, 2015, this rule also applied to Ukraine, but now, unilaterally, our neighbors have changed the procedure for crossing the state border.

Now you can get to them only by presenting a foreign passport. Although the visa-free regime for Russians remained. And now we will list for you all the states where one passport is enough. You do not need to show any other documents or evidence of trustworthiness. Unless (very rarely) return tickets or a travel voucher.

Countries with a visa-free regime for Russians

The list is as follows: stay up to 30 days - Antigua and Barbuda; Azerbaijan, Armenia; up to 90 days within 180 - Argentina, Bahamas, Botswana, Brazil, Venezuela; up to 28 days - Barbados; up to 30 - Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vanuatu; Bermuda. You can arrive in Vietnam for the purpose of tourism for up to 15 days, while the passport must be valid for at least six months, and you can re-enter no earlier than a month after departure. Further: up to 90 days - Guyana, Guatemala, Honduras and Grenada. In the latter case, the exact, specific period of maximum stay is determined by the immigration officer.

In the Dominican Republic, tourists with a return ticket can stay no more than 21 days. In the Dominican Republic, with a tourist card in hand, you have the opportunity to rest for 30 days. The card is sold for $ 10 in Santo Domingo, the airport or received at the consulates or embassies of the republic. Let's focus separately on visa-free regime with Israel.

Russia and Israel - visa relations

These relations between our states are regulated by an agreement between the governments on the waiver of the need for visas for the mutual movements of citizens of the two countries, which has been in force since 10/20/2008. The main requirement: the presence of a passport with a validity period of at least six months at the time of entry. Having such a document, you can safely go to Israel. The visa-free regime allows you to enter this country repeatedly or once without issuing permits, leave it, follow transit and stay there for 90 days in any period of 180 days. But the tourist must remember that the decision is made by the border guard when crossing the border.

It is final. Therefore, it is better to prepare in advance for the procedure and have some documents with you that can help in a disputable situation: a return air ticket, documents confirming a hotel reservation, medical insurance valid abroad, proof that you have the necessary amount of money. In the case when you go for treatment - a letter from the hospital, to visit - an invitation. They, according to travelers, most likely will not be needed, but this is exactly the case when it is better to play it safe. A visa-free regime is one thing, a border guard at a post is a little different.

We continue the list of visa-free (for Russians) states

In Hong Kong without a visa, you can stay for a maximum of 14 days, for 30 days - in Macau. Only tourist groups are allowed into China without permits - for 30 days. In addition, such groups should be formed by tourism organizations. You can stay in Cuba and Costa Rica for up to 30 days. In the latter case - for transit, tourism, business trip or visiting relatives. Colombia - standard 90 days. Laos - only up to 15 days. We continue the list of visa-free countries. Up to 60 days - Mauritius. Up to 30 - Macedonia, but this applies only to those who enter the country on the basis of a voucher - the original contract for tourist services.

Malaysia and Micronesia - up to 30 days, Maldives - one month. Up to 90 days - Morocco, Namibia and Nicaragua. In the Cook Islands you can rest for 31 days, in Niue - 30 days. The same number - in Palau, but in this state, the period of stay can be extended, being on the spot, without leaving. The maximum stay in Panama is longer than in many other countries - up to 180 days. But at the same time, a number of conditions must be met: the validity of a passport is at least three months; have at least USD 500 per person for the period of stay; show tickets to a third country or back.

The third part of the list, the final

Visa-free countries such as Paraguay, Peru and El Salvador allow you to stay on their territory for up to 90 days in every 180-day period. Samoa, Swaziland and the Seychelles - a maximum of 30 days, but on the islands the stay can be easily extended on the spot up to three months. Up to 20 days - Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, up to 30 days - Serbia, up to 20 - Saint Lucia. Up to 45 days - Northern Mariana Islands and Thaum. In both cases, you will be allowed in if you have return tickets. A visa-free regime for passengers of cruise ships is possible for one day in Caicos and Turks, a prerequisite is departure in the same way. In Turkey, Russians can stay up to 60 days, and only 90 - within 180 days. From this year, 2015, the passport must be valid for four months.

Up to 90 days - Uruguay, Ecuador and Chile. Up to 21 days - Philippines. With a tourist voucher, guests of Sri Lanka can stay in this country for up to 30 days. AT South Korea requirements are a bit stricter. Russians can be in it for 60 days if they have tickets to a third country or back, a hotel reservation or voucher, confirmation of financial solvency. When traveling to individual visa-free countries, you need to know some of the nuances. Now let's look at a couple of these options.

Russian tourists in Thailand

Not so long ago, the new immigration rules of this state changed the entry rules for tourists from many countries, but this did not affect ours. The visa-free regime for Russians has been preserved. In addition, they can come here an unlimited number of times and no visa is required for this. However, not everything is as simple as it seems at first glance.

There is a restriction: a one-time stay in Thailand cannot exceed 30 days and it is impossible to extend this period while inside, that is, it is necessary to travel outside the state. Also, every time you enter, you will have to prove the tourist purpose of the visit, that is, show the route of the planned trip, tickets and hotel reservations along the way.

Visa relations between Russia and Montenegro

This magnificent country, despite its close location to us, is still a foreign country. Therefore, the question of whether she has a visa-free regime with Russia every year is very important for vacationers. Fortunately, for now, everything remains the same, and you do not need to obtain a visa to visit Montenegro. Citizens of Russia, as before, can enter the territory of this country for up to 30 days without a visa. And with the international passport there are significant indulgences, in comparison with many other states. So, its validity should expire no earlier than one month after you return to your homeland.

Upon crossing the border of this country, you will immediately feel what a real visa-free regime with Russia is. No questions, no additional documents, the border guard will put the appropriate stamp in your passport - and you can rest easy. It is for this reason that Montenegro is in high demand and popular with Russian tourists. The same applies to citizens of Belarus (up to 30 days - visa-free entry).

Visa relations between Russia and the CIS countries

Considering the countries of the visa-free regime with Russia, we completely missed the relationship of our country with our closest neighbors, with whom we used to be part of the USSR. Of course, we are not talking about Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, which have long been part of the European Union and to visit them you need to apply for a Schengen visa. So with whom do we now have a visa-free regime?

Kazakhstan, along with Belarus, are members of a single customs union, so there is no talk at all about any restrictions on mutual travel. Enough internal passport. There are also no time limits. Of the eight southern republics of the former Soviet Union, a visa-free regime is valid for five, not counting the already mentioned Kazakhstan: these are Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. For mutual travel, only internal passports are needed.

Back in 1999, Turkmenistan introduced visas for the entire CIS, Georgia, in 2008, after the so-called “five-day” war, did the same for Russia. The relationship between Russia and Ukraine has already been discussed in this article, we will expect a speedy end to the conflict in the east of our western neighbor and the establishment of all, including visa, cases. It is necessary to tell in a few words about the rapprochement between our country and Tajikistan. Citizens of this country now have the right to issue in the Russian migration service permission to labor activity for a period of up to three years, and this is the basis for increasing / extending the period of stay of an employee in Russia. There is no need to travel outside now.

Visa-free entry between Russia and Mongolia

There remains one more of our closest neighbors, relations with which are gradually becoming closer and closer. This is Mongolia. On November 14, 2014, the Agreement between the governments of Mongolia and Russian Federation on the conditions of mutual movements of citizens of both states. This Agreement was signed during a visit to Mongolia by V.V. Putin, President of Russia, on 09/03/2014. In accordance with this document, holders of foreign, service and diplomatic passports have the opportunity to enter, exit, transit and stay in the country without visas for up to 30 days. The total number of days in the 180-day period from the date of first entry must not exceed 90.

If you need to live, conduct commercial or labor activities in the territory of Mongolia for more than 30 days, please contact its consulates / embassies for a visa.

We have given our readers a detailed overview of the countries with which Russia has a visa-free regime. But the fact remains that this information is constantly changing, updated, so before buying tickets somewhere, ask breaking news. So that it doesn’t work out, as with Ukraine: some people did not have time to issue foreign passports which ruined their plans.

How are things going with visa-free entry between Russia and the EU countries?

No one knows the answer to this question, and it is very difficult to assume anything, most likely impossible. Visa-free regime with the EU in the same place where it was before. To be honest, the Ukrainian crisis in this case does not play a special role. Even before him, a small group of countries formed in the European Union, which categorically opposed this. Despite the fact that checking the work of Russian border guards and customs officers, the protection of biometric passports, and the functionality of other structures did not reveal significant deviations from the requirements, the signing of an agreement on a visa-free regime was still blocked. The states that did this justified their decision by saying that it was politically wrong to do this before resolving a similar issue with Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova.

After all, these countries are part of the so-called "Eastern Partnership". As we know, the issue with Moldova has already been resolved, and the citizens of this state can quite easily, without visas, travel around Europe, more precisely, around Schengen. In May, a meeting of the European Commission will take place, the agenda of which so far does not include the issue of granting a visa-free regime to Georgia and Ukraine. So Russia, given the political situation, so far nothing in this regard shines. And if we take into account the fact that for some reason this issue is associated with the situation in the east of our neighbor, then we can forget about it. At least for a while.

Is it necessary, a visa-free regime with European countries?

Let's consider whether it is so easy to enter, for example, Germany, having received the coveted visa-free regime with the European Union. Let's do it on the Moldovan example. Firstly, our understanding of this is most often based on how residents of the former republics of the Soviet Union travel to each other. Or what we see on TV: how citizens of developed countries move freely around the world. It's all deceptive, everything will be completely different with us and it's not a fact that it's better. For a visit to the European Union desires and biometric passport will not be enough.

No country needs to be overrun by people who can neither afford housing nor feed themselves. Therefore, traveling without taking care of stamps and all sorts of pieces of paper will not work. Previously, you collected a whole set of various documents and carried them to the embassy/visa center. The consular officer studied all these papers and made a decision whether to issue a visa or not. And although the final decision on whether to let people into the country or not is made by the border guard, the probability of refusal is minimal.

In the case of a visa-free regime, it is still recommended to have the same documents with you. This is, at a minimum, an invitation, a return ticket, a hotel reservation and proof of the availability of funds. And the border guard does not have time to carefully study them, because there is a long line behind you. Therefore, with minimal doubt about anything, he refuses entry. And - the loss of money, time and nerves, the disruption of all plans. As a result, as the visa-free regime with Moldova has already shown, everything can turn out to be much more expensive than under the usual visa regime. Therefore, such a regime is beneficial, for the most part, to money, respectable travelers. So there is no reason to rush.

Where to go on vacation without unnecessary bureaucracy?

www.travelnn.ru

Russians like to do everything at the very last moment. Including going on vacation. This is so in Russian - in the morning I bought a last-minute ticket, and in the evening I flew off to rest. It's a pity that not everyone understands this passion - they require visas. Fortunately, there are enough places in the world where Russians are ready to accept without them. You just need to know where to go.

Over the past few years, the life of opponents of bureaucracy and just lazy people has become seriously complicated. Cyprus, always hospitable to Russians, introduced visas, Malta fenced itself off with a visa fence, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Poland, Bulgaria canceled visa-free entry ... But literally in last days good news came from North Africa, on the very edge of which the Kingdom of Morocco is located.

"On June 13, 2005, the Moroccan government decided on a visa-free regime for citizens of the Russian Federation," Irina Avchukhova, secretary of the consular department of the Moroccan embassy in Moscow, told us. Thus, it is no longer necessary to come to Moscow to hand over a bunch of papers to the embassy, pay a consular fee, and even wait five days after that. Those wishing to relax on the Atlantic beaches of Agadir, wander around the quarters of Tangier, which at one time was considered a kind of "spy capital" of the whole world, or gawk at the beauties of Casablanca, now only need a passport valid for six months from the date of the intended departure from Morocco. At the Rabat airport, they will put the necessary stamp in it free of charge and without any red tape, and that's it.

Following Morocco, Indonesia followed suit. A visa, for which Russians had to apply to the embassy in Moscow at least a week before departure, was decided to be issued at the airport. This, by the way, will cost less - instead of the previous $50 for a visa, they will ask for only $25. And if you are not going to rest in Bali or some other Indonesian resort for more than six days, 10 dollars is enough. Of course, the savings are not too big - the average tour to Indonesia costs about one and a half thousand dollars, but it's still nice.

And most importantly, the example of Indonesia is closer to winter - and Russians usually go to resorts South-East Asia it is in winter that neighboring countries may follow. And the first of them, it seems, will be Thailand. In any case, Thai Ambassador to Russia Sorayut Prompot has already announced the start of negotiations "on the complete abolition of the visa regime for citizens of both countries." "I hope we will complete it soon," the ambassador added. Now Russian citizens purchase a Thai visa at the Bangkok airport and pay about $25 for it.

Those who do not need either Africa or Asia can rest in Europe without any visas. If you want - in Montenegro (Rodnaya Gazeta talked about holidays in this country in

N 21), if you want - in Croatia. Entry to this piece of the former fraternal Yugoslavia is free for our tourists, and from the documents a passport and a certificate-voucher issued by a travel agency are enough. There are no special restrictions on the validity of a foreign passport, but the employees of the consular department of the Croatian Embassy in Moscow still recommended having a passport valid for at least a month after the intended return to their homeland.

But, unfortunately, the Russians who arrived in Croatia will no longer be able to drop into Venice for a day without unnecessary formalities. From June 1, visa-free trips of Russian tourists from Croatian resorts to the Italian cities of Trieste and Venice have been cancelled. And all because the authorities of the European Union saw in our bathers some kind of threat visible only to them.

And finally, bad news for those who were going to visit the islands this summer caribbean. Last week about cancellation visa-free entry for the Russians announced the authorities of the Dominican Republic. Worse, there is no Dominican embassy in Moscow, and the nearest consulate, where Russians are offered to apply, is located in Berlin.

But don't be discouraged - there are plenty of other islands in the Caribbean. And for example, Russians are allowed into Cuba or Barbados without any visas.

ON THE ISLAND OF FREEDOM - WITHOUT UNNEEDED FORMALITIES

Ekaterina Kulikova, sales manager of a travel company:

If you want to visit Cuba, but are not going to spend more than 30 days on Liberty Island, then you will not need any special permission or visa. Upon entry, a tourist is required to have a passport valid for at least three months after the end of the trip, round-trip air tickets, hotel booking confirmation and an account statement confirming that the citizen has funds in the amount of 50 US dollars for each day of stay in the country.
