Who does the moon meet? Singer Luna: personal life

Pianoboy, The Maneken, Ivan Dorn - proof of this. In addition, the production center "Lace", founded by the husband of Christina Bardash - the same Moon - Yuriy Bardash, has been actively supplying high-quality pop performers, musicians, photographers and producers for several years, many of which we owe to the emergence of the phenomenon of the Ukrainian musical revolution .

One of these new pop artists was the singer Luna. The project has existed for two years, and in 2016, literally everyone started talking about Luna as a breakthrough in the Kiev musical underground - from Russian Wonderzine to Ukrainian gloss, and now also American Vogue, which for the first time paid attention to Ukrainian music.

Journalist Liana Satenstein, who specializes in the culture of the CIS countries and, in particular, Ukraine (she is the author of last year's article about), writes that the music of the Moon is "a symbol of the changes taking place in Ukraine against the backdrop of the political situation, war and an unstable economy." Of course, a comparison of Luna's music with a similar trend in fashion - what people from the post-Soviet space and Gosha Rubchinsky do - naturally suggests itself.

The moon itself characterizes its musical style as "soulful pop" - it feels nostalgia for the post-Soviet 90s and zero, romantic passion, as well as the current trend for "gopnik fashion" exported to the West by the same Gvasalia, Rubchinsky, and other designers.

Christina Bardash is perhaps the most unusual face that has ever become a symbol of the musical revolution,

- writes about the moon Vogue. In less than a year, 25-year-old Christina, thanks to her vocals, music video, recorded literally on the knee in the spirit of "new sincerity" and personal style, won the attention of music and fashion critics and just people who understand modern music - and fashion, which is important.

Luna says while Liana calls her face "elven". After Christina and her team uploaded the first video for the song "Autumn" on Facebook, people began to distribute the video themselves, and after six months all tickets for Kiev concerts were sold out.

According to Luna, the 90s and early 2000s are her main source of inspiration. And this is not accidental, since it was this period - minimalism, heyday and exit into " Big world» various subcultures, feminism with its «new femininity» Phoebe Philo, the era of supermodels, the peak of popularity and - most of all, modern fashion is also interested.

For Ukraine, the 90s became, according to Luna, "a time of revolution in the minds of people and the awakening of Ukrainian youth."

In the article, Satenstein describes in detail the image of Christina Bardash during an interview: she was wearing a pink Roberto Cavalli button-down mini dress, which “would have suited the wife of a Slavic mafia,” but looked absolutely organic on Christina.

My style depends on the mood and the same goes for my music

Bardash says. And, indeed, before Luna had the opportunity to buy clothes in the Kiev boutiques of Helen Marlen and Asthik, she - according to her own words in previous interviews - dressed in a second-hand store on Lesnoy (which, by the way, the same Liana Satenstein calls in ranking the best places for shopping in Kyiv), as I invested all the money I earned in my favorite business.

Luna owes the lion's share of popularity not only to her style and vocals, but also to emphasized amateur clips - many of them were filmed on the phone. Luna maintains a "new sincerity" image that contrasts commercial music and popular culture, slowly killing real, living culture and art. The clip for the track "Autumn" Bardash shot spontaneously on a small pocket camera when she took her son to kindergarten.

I love Kyiv. It's a beautiful city, although some people are destroying the culture. But now there's a new generation of young guys who are making a difference - and I'm one of them,

Bardash says in an interview with Vogue. The phenomenon of the singer Luna lies in the fact that her music is, of course, part of our peculiar, so to speak, cultural code with its sleeping areas, dull pop music and infantile nostalgia for the past, which Christina Bardash transforms into a high-quality modern product interesting to the West. Thanks to people like her, Ukraine takes on a new face and in a few years will cease to be associated with a poor, war-torn country, which is often shown in the news and in which something is not thankful to God all the time.

On November 3, Luna performed in Moscow - a Kyiv singer, about whom only the lazy have not been talking about for the past six months. The Village met with Kristina Bardash before and after the first solo album in Moscow to reflect on her phenomenon.

“Boy, you are the snow that will not be, I will prove that you are blind, like other people,” - on a chilly November evening, a thousand people in a club near Tverskaya sing a girl’s song in chorus, which was known only in narrow circles a year ago. In August 2015, Christina Bardash from Kiev posted a hypnotic clip on YouTube " moon", and a couple of months later - a video" Autumn”, Filmed on a film camera by the singer herself, posing in the frame with her three-year-old son. Just a year later, I'm standing in a crowd of steamed Muscovites who have learned the simple lyrics from these clips from the first to the last line.

Undoubtedly, journalists helped to learn them: only in the last few months Christina was interviewed by Ivan Dorn and the editors of all important Internet sites, glossy photographers and progressive English-language magazines fell in love with her - a day concert i-D called Luna the star of the Ukrainian musical revolution. I meet Christina in the dressing room of the Izvestia Hall club and immediately feel that she is tired of persistent attention - strict and restrained, the singer sits in front of the mirror and immediately seems to establish an invisible distance, although she easily switches to you. “I decided not to give interviews for the next six months or a year,” she echoes my thoughts. “I would like communication with journalists to remain a mutual exchange.” Ethnic music is playing in the dressing room, there are flowers and a large dish of nuts on the table, there are a couple of hours left before the concert.

Kristina Bardash is 26 years old, and she lived most of them in Kyiv, except for early childhood in Dresden, where her father served, and two and a half years in Los Angeles, where in the early 1910s she lived with her husband, producer and founder of the most important Ukrainian pop label Kruzheva, Yuriy Bardash. In the USA, Bardash gave birth and raised her son Zhorik - the hero of the future video for the song "Autumn". “Two and a half years did not tie me to the States,” Luna recalls. - Nothing inspired me there, I went a little crazy. But a year later it dawned on me what I learned there. The taste has changed, the style has appeared. You have not worked for two years, but only go to museums, exhibitions, fairs of vintage things, look at the latest collections. In short, you are culturally educated. Of course, traveling is very important. But in Kyiv, somehow it’s better to be creative.” In Ukraine, Kristina was engaged in photography and music production, filmed clips for Noggano and the singer Iya, who was promising at the time of her collaboration with Laces. One way or another everything last years Bardash was closely associated with her husband's label, but it seems that now that the camera lens is aimed at herself, she is much more comfortable. I express this thought to Christina, and she nods confidently.

Bardash claims that the name of the Luna project was fixed after he and the poetess Liza Gottfrik composed the song of the same name from the debut album Mag-ni-ty. After meeting Christina, it seems that there could be no other name: she talks about her passion for meditation and astrology, about the four elements, the imbalance of which soon after the first big solo album in Kyiv deprived Bardash of the strength to create music for some time. “I struggled with this for a long time in personal ways that I don’t want to talk about,” she says. In the middle of the conversation, Bardash's Kiev girlfriends rush into the dressing room with a screech, with one of whom, the energetic mulatto Annette, we will talk outside the door. Annette says that she lives in Kyiv, works as a cook, and made friends with Luna six years ago on the set of the video for the main project "Lace" Quest Pistols, in which Yuri Bardash filmed Christina. “She hasn't changed at all since then. If to characterize it in one word, it is “space”,” Annette argues without hesitation.

The trail around the rapidly debuting singer Luna, woven from outer space and esotericism, low-budget VHS videos mounted on the knee, light erotica and muffled minimalist sound, could not help but puzzle critics - just think, the wife of the producer who successfully reshaped the Quest Pistols group in the Quest Pistols Show , begins to send handicraft clips to the correct editorial offices, persistently calling itself a DIY project and talking about the primacy of sincerity in his music. Luna says that she produces herself, but she does not deny the help of the team either. So, her sound producer Alexander Voloshchuk is responsible not only for the sound on the records of the Moon, but also for the songs of the 17-year-old R'n'B star "Lace" Andro, which journalists without hesitation dubbed the gypsy The Weeknd. Voloshchuk plays bass at Luna's concerts. The rest of the musicians were gathered before the first solo concert in Kyiv in May this year. There are two of them - keyboardist Andrey Latik and guitarist Alexander Karev. “Latik is the Kyiv version of Johnny Jewel, who plays in The Chromatics and Glass Candy. He collects old synths, he has 12 of them, and all of them are tuned for such a sound, ”says Voloshchuk. “This is a Kyiv party, everyone here knows each other. Guitarist Shurik is best friend Sasha Voloshchuk, - continues Bardash. - When we had a meeting about the first concert, Sasha told him: “You understand that this is a serious group? It's not just a heifer." Spouse Kristina denies participation in the project, although in her community on VKontakte sometimes Yuri Bardash is also the producer of Luna.

Christina writes simple texts that settle in her head for a long time both herself and in the company of co-authors: for example, the ballad “Boy, you are snow” that ends the first album and the cold “Airplanes” were written to her by a long-familiar author who works with Laces, whose name is Christina asks not to be identified. “He suffers from a mental disorder and is generally quite Difficult person, but it was easy to get along with me. Sometimes he comes and says: “Christine, give me money for medicines, and I will write a song for you?” I agree, and here we get Airplanes. Well, you heard "Airplanes", right? There is a very strong text. It could have been written by either me or him.”

Behind the scenes, Christina Bardash has an armor of managers, PR agents, photographers and cameramen. They all fuss and move at an accelerated pace - in contrast to the crowd of spectators in the hall, lazily walking past the pina colade bar. I greet every third person - journalists, photo editors, producers, creative students and just nice faces from the Facebook feed are everywhere. “I often put the Moon on my sets,” says a familiar editor-in-chief and organizer of fun gay parties. - It's going great. The last time I put on the song “Boy, you are snow”, so my friend burst into tears, walked and could not calm down. A few minutes later, Christina Bardash, in a black bodysuit and a white lace dress that compliments her elven appearance, rises to the stage, the audience roars deafeningly - and then they don’t stop singing along to the songs with the same passion that betrays what each of them played in headphones on repeat this summer.

Behind Luna there are only three big solo albums: in Kyiv - in May of this year, in Riga and Yekaterinburg - as part of the current Eclipse tour. Knowing this, you are impressed by what you see: the musicians are comfortable together, behind Christina's back, video installations in the spirit of the songs picturesquely replace each other: astrological symbols, a night highway, scenes from anime. At the end of the track “In the city of fashionistas”, Christina picks up a smartphone and takes pictures of herself and fans on the front camera - the image is projected onto big screen. Looking closely at your big eyes into the lens, Bardash speaks to the audience: “I know that real fashionistas have gathered here today: all designers, all the most beautiful girls and their husbands." The Moscow public looks at each other, not recognizing themselves in the listed strata of the population. Deliberately naive phrases either escape by accident, or echo the infantile image: “A knife hurts, like love”, “Often external world prevents your dream from coming true, so you must listen to your heart ”- the real spontaneity of Bardash eventually reveals itself not in clips and interviews, but in random words thrown from the stage.

Closer to the end of the concert, when the center of the hall sings along with the moon new song, and couples inspired by romantic lyrics sway along the edges, I step back to look at the singer's merchandise - sweatshirts, t-shirts and iPhone cases. It, like any product produced by the Luna team, looks super relevant: Cyrillic font on gloomy shades and simple styles; something like this, with some discounts, would look like a collaboration between Gosha Rubchinsky and H&M, who took the cover of "A Star Called the Sun" as a reference. “She even has cool merch,” a nearby girl sighs.

After the concert, as after a successfully passed exam, Christina jumps on the stage in euphoria, and then leaves, but not for long - a few minutes later an enthusiastic guy rushes past me shouting: “She allows me to take pictures with her!” Success, luck, a new victory for Ukrainian music in the country of youth, brought up on soulful pop songs about the complexities of love.

I stop by for the afterparty of Luna's concert at a popular club on Taganka. It is full, there are many people around who flashed a few hours ago in Izvestia. At the door I run into a well-known promoter and co-owner of the establishment. Talking about the heroine of the evening, he snorts: “Absolutely commercial project. Now these will begin to appear every six months. It's a pity that singers who try so much harder don't get that kind of attention. By the way, today for the first time in my life I was asked to assign a security guard to the artist. Well, I added, of course - I have three of them, they are all beautiful.

The Moon is indeed often talked about, using expressions like "commercial" and "producer project". She is compared to Lana Del Rey, the bombshell of 2012, a diva with an exquisite legend that was spread around the world by journalists, but if Lana appealed to the aesthetic spirit of the American 60s, then Luna is now described using highlights from the post-Soviet 90s and chaotic zero : Sveta and projects of Max Fadeev, Linda and the Total group, Irina Saltykova and Anzhelika Varum. Kristina Bardash herself willingly lists these and related names when she talks about her parents' favorite music, and thinks deeply after the question about the music that is important for her from today - most likely, it's the excitement before the concert. But in fact, after a solo album in Moscow, it becomes clear that all the talk about sincerity or its imitation, about the independence or involvement of the Moon in the husband’s production center is actually meaningless: when a full house starts the chorus of a song called “Sad Dance” in chorus, and men in the hall they begin to write to their ex-girlfriends, what difference does it make how many people were behind the production of the dance? The success of Luna, which was ensured by the spectacular arrangements of the people of Kiev, who listen to the Western trend better than many, the animal charisma of Christina Bardash and the infantile lyrics, which took the main thing from the songs about the playboys of Natasha Vetlitskaya and the well-aimed pearls of Ilya Lagutenko, is a consequence and continuation of the process of legitimizing music, which is somewhat years ago was considered shameful. “The breadth of all fields, the depth of all seas, the height of clouds, the beauty of your shores does not allow me to drown” - such an ideally simple and accessible sensuality was cherished by Eva Polna and Yuri Usachev; in 2016, she just needed to be given a shape that was appropriate not only at house parties, but also at the Science and Art club. Luna did it.

“It seems to me that this is a good example of myth-making,” I talk about Christina Bardash with a familiar music critic, former editor-in-chief of a well-known music publication. “It took us so long to create a myth around an artist that everyone would believe in, and finally it happened.” November 3, on the day of the Moscow concert, Luna releases a video for the song "Knife", which illustrates her gradual departure from this DIY myth - it was filmed by the Moscow production group Great Fruit, also not indifferent to nostalgic aesthetics, and filmed a video for the store "KM20", the fashionably revived brand of sneakers "Two balls", the festival "Swallow" and producer Lay-Far. Whose hands Kristina Bardash created herself with, someone else's or her own, her rapid ascent to the status of the most fashionable Russian-speaking singer is intriguing - and it may well last as long as teenagers who grew up after the collapse of the USSR touch simple songs about parting, sung to the sound of vintage synthesizers. That is quite a long time.

“What difference does it make whether we are a commercial project or a non-commercial one? - A few days later I call Bardash and Voloshchuk in Kyiv, and we discuss the results of the tour and plans for the future. - Well, commercial. For me, a non-commercial project is the group "Ludska Like". Often musicians say they don't care about money. I love money for smart people this is good. If they are invested in development, it only helps to achieve excellent goals. And about
90s - I don't like that we are being dragged into the past. We are not from the 90s, not from the past. I understand that there is a trend and I have nothing against it, but our music is much wider.” “This is an exploitation of the trend,” Voloshchuk interrupts Kristina. - Whatever you do, they say: “Ah, the nineties!” The revolution is in fashion, everywhere. By the 90s, everything is tied in a row now. ” “Yes, revolution. - Bardash thoughtfully completes the thought. - They don’t rotate on the radio, they don’t show on TV, and a full audience sings all the songs by heart. How so? This is a revolution for me personally. And I will continue to develop in this direction.

Simple, sincere lyrics and minimalist arrangements in the spirit of the 90s - according to American Vogue, this is exactly what the “face of the Ukrainian musical revolution” looks like. The publication assigned this status to the Kiev resident Kristina Gerasimova, acting under the pseudonym Luna. Her songs were not rotated on the radio, and the clips were not broadcast on TV. Luna's work has become popular thanks to the Internet. At the same time, the artist herself declares that she does not consider herself an indie project.

Childhood and youth

Kristina Gerasimova (at the time of marriage - Bardash) was born on August 28, 1990 in the GDR, where her father served at that time. In the town of Karl-Marx-Stadt (now Chemnitz), the family lived for about two years, after which they moved to Ukraine. The Gerasimovs settled in Kyiv.

Together with her younger sister Alina, Kristina studied at school No. 53 in Kyiv, having time for choreography classes after school. IN lower grades Christina attended folk dances, later - ballet, to which she gave 6 years. Then the girl changed dancing to music. At the art school for two years she studied solfeggio, vocals, attended the choir and took guitar lessons.

At the age of 12, she entered a children's camp in Cuba with a ticket. For the girl, this was the first experience of a long stay away from her parents, which she did not fail to take advantage of. In an interview with the Ukrainian edition of Umbar.com.ua, Kristina admitted:

“I cheated in front of my parents, pretending that everything was fine with me. But I didn't actually go to school. I had a complete nirvana there on the basis of songs and lyrics, and at that moment I realized that my soul lies in creativity.

However, Christina did not immediately take up her own project. The girl entered the faculty of journalism and, in parallel with her studies, helped to realize the creative potential of other artists.

Music

Christina recorded her first demo when she was 14 years old. While studying at school, and then at the university, the girl wrote poetry and music, but she did not consider it necessary to demonstrate creativity to the public. The first performance took place only in 2015. The artist took part in Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days. And a year later she presented her first album "Mag-no-you".

The grandiose solo performance made too much impression on the performer: Christina took a break from creating songs and focused on performances. Following the capital of Ukraine, concerts of the Eclipse tour took place in Riga, Yekaterinburg, and Moscow.

The singer herself among her favorite performers calls Glass Animals, groups, "Guests from the Future", as well as performers and. She defines her own style as "soul pop".

At the end of 2016, Luna released the Sad Dance mini-album. The album was marked by a successful debut: on the first day it took first place in iTunes Ukraine and second in iTunes Russia and iTunes Armenia.

In 2017, the singer released her second album, Island of Freedom. Of the 8 tracks, 3 were presented earlier during the year: "Bullets", "Spark", "Friend". The video for the song "Spark" turned out to be the most massive video in the assets of the Moon: more than 50 people got into the frame. For 6 months, the video has collected a million views on Youtube. The songs "Jukebox" and "Free love" became hits.

It is noteworthy that in the first clips, the "multi-station" Luna not only thought through the plot and style of the video, but also tried to control the technical side:

“On the set of Bullet, I really gave it my all, because I thought through every frame, went to rent, chose lenses, a camera, set the light - on heels, then climbed into the frame.”

In the future, the singer agreed to delegate these duties to directors. This, however, does not exclude the participation of the Moon in the creation of the script and the development of images.

Personal life

Christina was married. Her ex-husband is a producer, co-owner of the Kruzheva Music company, a participant. It is the Moon that is dedicated to the hit “Ice is melting”.

In 2012, the couple had a son, George. At the time, the family lived in Los Angeles. Christina describes this period of her biography inconsistently:

“I have just begun my conscious life. And it all came crashing down on me. It's all great, but this America is still around, and I just found myself alone with myself and my calling to be a woman. I butted heads for a while, because I wanted to remain a girl who could go to discos, smoke, hang out ... I threw objects out of the house, yelled for the police to come and take me to a madhouse, I could run naked into the street. But that's okay, I'm not ashamed of it. I had to survive this trash."

Luna's life entered a calm channel after writing the first album. As the artist admits, he was sent by a friend. The girl became interested in the connection of a person with natural cycles, space, ways to control their energy.

Moon with ex-husband and son

In 2018, it became known that Christina and Yuri Bardash divorced. The husband accused his wife of infidelity, but later deleted the angry post from social networks. The couple's entourage told the press that discord was brewing in the family due to Yuri's incorrect behavior. After the divorce, Christina returned her maiden name. According to the latest data, the singer has a lover, but she is in no hurry to name him.

The girl devotes herself every day to at least four hours a day, which are divided equally between meditation and sports. Such energy recharging allows you to combine the role of a mother with performances on stage. Christina refused alcohol, trying to stick to a healthy diet.

moon now

Kristina Gerasimova lives in Kyiv with her son. The singer considers the capital of Ukraine more comfortable in terms of rhythm than Moscow.

“Everything is going smoothly in Kyiv,” Luna told Meduza in an interview. - I have my center, you can walk around it all. Here I have a rehearsal, here the child goes to the pool, here to school.

Luna is an active Instagram user. Photos appear almost daily. Christina admits that the attention of the audience is also an energy supply. The girl is pleased with both positive and negative comments.

On the birthday of singer Luna, the site recalls an interview with one of the brightest Ukrainian artists.

Fox fur coat, Blood & Honey; Lycra tights - the property of the stylist

Our editors have been following for a year. We met in September 2015. Christina Bardash (that's Luna's name in life) had just played her first performance at the Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days and was so organic in her plain texts about love, and her music was so reminiscent of "Guests from the Future" and Linda that we immediately reacted - and wrote about it. I was the first journalist who interviewed Luna: Kristina was nervous, twisted her golden hair around her finger, said that she practices vocals every day and will produce herself (Kristina's husband is producer Yuri Bardash, owner of Kruzheva Music).

Exactly one year after our first meeting, Christina gives me an interview again, and I am amazed at how she has changed in a year: she has become more mature, tougher. During this time, the moon released debut album"Ma-gn-you", which conquered Ukrainian and Russian music radio stations, and tickets for her first solo concert, held in Kyiv in May, were sold out on the first day. Kristina starred for the main glossy magazines - for example, Ivan Dorn talked to her especially for Interview Russia, and American Vogue called her the face of the Ukrainian musical revolution.

Silk blouse, Fendi; silk shorts, Frolov

Now Bardash - real star. We meet at the Kosatka bar on Bolshaya Zhitomirskaya: it’s raining outside, it’s cold, and the first thing Kristina asks is to move to another table: “It’s blowing here, and I take care of my throat.” My remark about how she has changed, Luna takes it easy: “I have become more mature. I used to do everything intuitively, but now I do it more professionally. At first, I wanted to do everything myself: it seemed to me that if a team appeared, my aesthetics would be violated; I thought that commercial clips should not be shot, because the soul of the moon would be lost. During this year, I realized that a team is needed: it only helps to emphasize the essence.

“In the clip “Distances” I dance in shorts. The husband saw, called and asked to remove this frame: “I don’t want your butt to be on the whole screen”

Kristina Bardash was born in 1990: the nineties are her favorite time and source of her inspiration. It was then that Luna's favorite music played - Zemfira, Anzhelika Varum, Linda, from where her habit of buying accessories in second-hand shops near the Lesnaya metro station comes from: “My mother and sister and I can dig there for hours!” This season the nineties - main trend, but Bardash does not need to make an effort to be in trend: she grew up in this. “The girls in the camp loved Britney Spears, and I sang to Natalia Vlasova: “I’m with your-and-them but-o-o-o, don’t say thanks-and-and ...” Remember? I have always loved tearful music, and also Zemfira and Tatu.

Wool dress, Stella McCartney; leather boots, Bevza

As a child, Christina, who today at concerts skillfully mixes MM6 by Maison Margiela over the knee boots with second-hand denim shorts, like most girls, loved everything bright. Having earned the first money, I went to Child's world on Darnitsa and bought a Turkish pink suit. “My parents were fashionistas and would give a lot for Levi’s jeans and Lacoste knitwear, and dad, when he saw me in this suit, cursed a lot – they say, what kind of Turkish consumer goods did you choose?” Now Kristina has improved: she wears Opening Ceremony, Maison Margiela and Ukrainian designers - Ksenia Schneider, Anton Belinsky. And she also dreams of making a costume for the clip for her, creative director Balenciaga and designer Vetements. “I’ll write him a letter,” Christina flirts.

Kristina Bardash was born in 1990: the nineties are her favorite time and source of her inspiration

The designer and the singer have a lot in common: they both love normcore, listen to Zemfira and are inspired by the new generation of urban youth: Luna is in Kyiv, Gvasalia is in Paris. Gvasalia loves to show in unusual places- for example, in a gay club or a cheap Chinese restaurant, and the Moon shoots clips in the same unexpected places. When she needs to concentrate, she gets into the car and changes exemplary Lipki, where she lives with her husband and four-year-old son Zhora, to Kharkiv Massif, where her mother’s apartment is located. Here, in a residential area built up in the early nineties with dull gray boxes, Luna retires and composes texts. Here, in the courtyard on the Kharkov massif, in the fall of 2015, she shot one of her first videos - a video for the song "Autumn".

“Once I came to my mother, took a small Japanese camera, put on pajama shorts, a sweater found with my mother, threw on my favorite red raincoat on top - and decided that I would shoot a clip right in the yard. Zhora cried, did not want to go to the garden, and I took him with me. There were almost no people, so the son was not shy and we got great shots: we danced, hugged. At some point, he got tired, started crying, and we went home.” A couple of days later, Christina showed the video to her husband, and he, seeing the footage from crying baby and the moon dancing in the empty yard, saw the hit. “Go fix it,” he said. Christina sent her husband to walk with her son, and in two hours she made a video. In a few days, "Autumn" blew up Ukrainian YouTube, gaining tens of thousands of views, and users launched a whole discussion under the video on the topic of what is more in the Moon - early Zemfira or late Linda.

Success is easy to explain: the moon has a sincere story. “Do you know how I started writing songs? My husband and I separated, and in six months I wrote thirty songs - they just poured. (Later, these songs were included in the album "Ma-gn-you".) For a long time the texts lay on the table, and after reconciliation with her husband, Christina once came to visit friends and began to rhyme on the go some lines." “The company was sincere, and friends said: “You succeed!” Bardash remembered that in music school she was given a second soprano, came to the studio and recorded her favorite song - “Let's Forget Everything” by Angelica Varum. “It was so scary that I didn’t even dare to sing in the “minus” - I sang in her voice, because I was afraid to hold the melody myself.”

Now she is not afraid of her voice, but still protects her world from random people. For example, her younger sister Alina shoots her videos: “She feels my aesthetics, and this is the main thing, and I taught her the technical subtleties.” The aesthetics of the Moon are close-ups, a grainy picture, deliberately primitive texts, erotica (“In the video for“ Distance ”I dance in shorts. My husband saw it, called and asked to remove this frame:“ I don’t want your ass to be on the whole screen ”) . Luna gives the impression of a DIY project, but behind it is an influential production center. How does it fit? “Yura and I are a super team. He supports me: he helps to shoot videos, assemble the right team, arranges for security to be at my performances. That's all production. As for creativity, he did not make a single edit in our album "Ma-gn-you".

In October-November, Luna will play several big concerts - in Kyiv, Tel Aviv, Riga and Moscow. Bardash is a little surprised by the popularity that has fallen on her, but she admits that this is not a reason for narcissism, but rather a motive to work. “We rehearse three times a week, and I am also at home every day, when Yura leaves for work, and Zhora is in kindergarten.”

After the interview in "Korca", we head to the Artist's House, where Luna and her musicians are rehearsing - two guitarists and a drummer. The musicians are laughing: on a laptop, Christina shows them a cut of frames from the Soviet film "Carnival" with Irina Muravyova, where her heroine sings the famous song "Call me, call." "Love this song. Let's do a remix?" Bardash smiles.
