Biography (history) of the group Centr (Centre)

Its beginning group Center takes from 2003 years when still little-known rap artists Guf and Princip recorded their first album, which became a gift for friends, having received the same name - "Gift". The album became a "demo album" of Guf's and Princip's work, and consisted of damn dozen tracks - 13.

A year later, Guf and Princip announce the foundation of the Center group, after which they give a couple of concerts. In the same year, Ptakha from the Les Misérables group and Slim from the Smoke Screen group join the duet. But the “newly minted” team of four did not last long, at the end 2004 Princip leaves the group (he went to jail) and the group's work was interrupted for exactly one year.

AT 2006 Guf, Bird and Slim decided to work together and released the single "Heat 77". After a short period of time, the soundtrack "Heat 77" for the film "ZHARA" was released.

At the end of 2006, the Center group created its own label, TsAO Records, after which, due to a name conflict with the existence since the late 1970s of the Soviet-Russian-American group Center by Vasily Shumov, the Center group (Guf'a, Birds and Slim'a) was renamed to "CENTR". Also in 2006, the group "CENTR" wrote the second soundtrack - an inversion of Basta's track "My Game" for the film "Shadowboxing 2: Revenge", in the recording of which Guf and Basta's non-Center sheep took a direct part.

April 3 2007 Guf releases its first solo album"City of Roads", the track of the same name, from which, got into the track list of the first album of the group "CENTR".
On October 25, 2007, the debut album of the CENTR group, Swing, was released. The problem of the diction of the two members of the group (Bird lisps, and Guf does not pronounce the letter “r”) has become their “trick” in the hip-hop world. Princip also took part in the album, but not as a member of the CENTR group. In place with the Principle, the track "Iron Sky" and "Confession" were recorded. After the release of the album, a single was released on the joint track of the group "CENTR" and Basta - "City of Roads".

In the first half 2008 In the same year, the group released the track "About Love", in which Ptaha insulted the rap artist Drago, from Germany, which provoked a beef between them, followed by videos from both sides and an agreement on a mix fight. In the track “In the Center”, Drago insults not only Ptah, but also the rest of the group, stating that they promote cocaine, and their listeners are drug addicts:

Three junkies gather sickly halls - no wonder, there are a lot of drug addicts in Russia ...

In addition to the conflict, 2008 was remembered for the release of the second album, Efir is Normal, which touched upon the themes of drugs, Moscow streets and policemen. In their texts, the participants admit how and what drugs they used. It is worth noting that, despite Drago's statements, the CENTR group continues to read about “drugs”. In their texts, the participants admit how and what drugs they used. Princip took part in the second album of the group CENTR. Princip took part in the recording of the track "Everyday" and this track was the last "crossing" of Princip with the group.

In the same year, a DVD-rental of a concert in Moscow - “CENTR. Ether is fine."

One of the achievements of the CENTR group in 2008 was the MTV RMA award won, together with Basta, for the track City of Roads from the first album.

AT 2009 the year before the month of August, the CENTR group releases 3 singles: "Traffic", "Night" and "Is It Easy to Be Young". In August 2009, after a quarrel with Slim and Bird, Guf left the band. Together, Slim and Ptakha released the 4th single of the group “About Love”, after which Ptakha and Slim released their first solo album - “Nothing” and “Cold”, respectively. At the end of 2009, Guf did not stand aside from the former “groupmates” and released his second solo album “At Home”.

After Guf left the group, a video was shot for the track “Is It Easy to Be Young”. The clip was filmed, under the terms of the contract with the label, for the album “Ether is normal. Each of the three members of the group was filmed separately at different times, different places and they did not see each other, although Slim and Ptah often crossed paths.

On January 7, 2010, Ptakha in his interview announced the breakup of the CENTR group, but despite this, the group continued touring as part of Ptakha and Slima.
By April 2010, as Ptaha and Slim announced in the Urbana program (release dated March 16, 2010), a joint album of the CENTR group, consisting of Slim and Ptah, and the Legends of Pro... group, consisting of Dym, P.Yo, should be released .S., Byba, Ahimas. The album will be called "Legends About CENTR".

In a video report on the third anniversary of CAO, Ptaha spoke about his future and the future of the CENTR group:

I found myself. I changed my name because the CENTR group is no more, and I tell you a secret - there was not and will not be a third participant - we were kidding! There will be no third album of the CENTR group, if it is, then only the three of us with guf, which is unlikely. Well, God forbid, of course, God forbid! peace "CENTR", rest in peace Ptah! Peace to all of you, all the best to you!

Suddenly in the same 2010 year, the group "CENTR" again made itself felt in the ARENA MOSCOW Wu-Tang Clan club, and the release of the album "Legends Pro CENTR" from the groups "CENTR" and "Legends Pro" was postponed to April-May 2011 of the year.

Despite all the statements of the band members, the group won the Russian street awards in the "Event of the Year" nomination (Disintegration of the group).

The team members themselves commented on their breakup as follows: Recently, in the musical hip-hop community, information has increasingly begun to appear that the CENTR group has broken up, that the musicians have taken up solo work and buried their joint brainchild once and for all, and similar incorrect and groundless rumors.

The management of the CENTR group strongly recommends not to trust any information other than that posted on the official website of the group: http://centrgroup.ru/ .

We hasten to assure you that the group, the group exists, is touring successfully, moreover, the musicians have plans to record a third studio album in the near future.

There were some changes in the composition, nothing more. AT this moment the group consists of Slima, Ptakha and dj Nik One.

Centr members have always been independent creative units, with their own music, their creativity and vision of what is happening in the country. Slim and Bird, ordinary guys who, after time, in spite of everything, remained true to their work and fans. They do what they love and love what they do - and therefore their tracks "rocked" half the country.

For organizing concerts of the group CENTR:

The group's management is currently compiling the tour schedule of the artists: the groups "CENTR" and solo projects SLIM, SLIM + Slovetsky (Constanta) and Ptakhi, for the period from JUNE 2011, only by contacting the concert director of the artists:

The Moscow rapper needs no introduction for a long time, his lyrics are catchy, they are original, he knows his stuff. Slim knows how to simply talk and talk about important and inalienable things in our daily life against the backdrop of pleasant beats.

Perhaps the most experienced member of CENTRA, in turnip since 1996. On his account, three albums "Smoke Screen", Guf's first solo album "City of Roads", two albums in "CENTER", where Slim, in addition to his own verses in the text, is also the author of almost all the musical component of the material.
Slim has already shown his ability and courage on solo albums. With his work, the rapper not only proved that he is a talented beatmaker, but also an already established strong creative unit.

After the rather successful solo work “Holodno”, released in October 2009, in February 2011, Slima's second solo album, “Distinguish People”, blew up sales tori. Both albums were included in the top ten best-selling rap albums in Russia according to the Billboard magazine. But even here Slim does not cease to please his fans and in May 2011 the long-awaited joint album is released, with Russian rappers from New York "Konstantah", called "Azimuth".

Without exaggeration, Azimuth can be called the most anticipated rap release of recent times.
Now Slim, as a solo artist, is touring with the support of MC Strizh, dj Nik One
And also with the project, "Slim / Konstantah", together with Slovetsky (Constant). With the presentation of the album "Azimuth"

Bird

The second and quite important member of the CENTR group is David Nuriev, better known under the stage name PTAHA, more recently, also NERUD - Russian rapper and actor. A little incomprehensible, serious and often angry. But David's rap is true and he is about real life not hidden behind a curtain of lies. "Ptaha" began his hip-hop journey in 1996 with Bury and Shurup ("Les Misérables") in the BJD group led by Master Spencer.
After the release of Ptakhin's "About Nothing", October 29, 2009, in October 2010, "Cigarettes" from the Bore aka

Bird. This is the artist's second solo album. As critics point out, new album stronger and better than the debut one. Several clips from Zanuda, for tracks from the new album, including one of the main hits "Everything will be ..." with the Legends of PRO, have been shot and are being prepared for launch on the screens. The record is on sale in all music stores.

In March 2016, the long-awaited, most anticipated rap album is released in the last 7 years. CENTER - "System".

According to the members of the CENTR group, the album turned out to be diverse, but retained all the original features and characteristics of the team.

This album reflects the realities of modern Russia not only at the level of houses and streets, but also in a more global sense. We do not teach life to anyone, but simply look at the world around us with a share of sarcasm and black humor. Yes, this is not what we did in 2008, but time goes by, we are changing and the world is changing, changing our creativity. I think he will find his listener and wake up those who have not heard us for a long time. Most of all I like that the "system" is a rather original work - unlike anything else. © Slim

"Restyling true style"

Time affects our creativity, but the album "System" was created in such a style and sound that modern hip-hop requires. It is designed to give new round true style, give it a new breath of air. We have not weakened semantic load in lyrics and more, we tried to speak openly about the situation in the country, but we changed the musical component a bit. I think this is a very strong album and it is a worthy trump card from the "true" style.. I think this album will show many that sounding fresh does not mean being a monotonous copy of the overseas mainstream. There are a lot of styles in hip-hop culture that are more tame and interesting. I'm sure it will appeal to our old fans and listeners, as well as the new generation of Hoppers. © Bird

I was very worried that the album would no longer be the same as the previous ones, that we would not be able to surpass "Swing" and "Ether is OK" so much time has passed, we are already completely different people, we have matured, everyone has their own life and views on it . The album was written for a long time and we almost didn't have moments, as before, for us to hang out together in the studio in such quantities as during the creation of the "Swing" album. I was also worried that there would not be such integrity in the new album, but thanks to Slim's experiments with beats and our vision of the current situation, after listening to the entire album in its finished state, I realized that it turned out very cool and it's still the same old, kind CENTR, but all topics are relevant, they correspond to our time. The sound remained firm, center, but at the same time something has changed for the better, I won’t say that it’s a mega-fashion album, but you can’t call it old-school sound either. I really hope that fans will appreciate the album, because we have invested a lot in it and I am sure that they will like it © Guf

Centr is a team formed in 2004. The group became known after the release of the debut album "Swing", recorded as a three-piece group - Guf, Slim and Ptah. Considered one of the main rap revolutionaries, it was during their years creative activity the genre began to rapidly gain momentum.

The history of the team begins in 2004, when rappers Princip and Rolexx (now Guf) joined forces to record the album “Gift”. The record was released in a small edition, which was intended exclusively for friends, as a New Year's gift. Even then, there were verses of Ptakha and Slim on the disc, which later became full-fledged members of the “Center”. In 2006-2007, the debut work was re-released, the band recorded the soundtrack for the film "Heat", which included the popular song "Mudny Muddy".

In 2007, Guf's debut album "City of Roads" was released. In fact, this disc is the first work of the "golden" line-up of the band - here Guf, Slim and Ptaha for the first time create a unique sound and atmosphere that resonate with the listeners and stir up interest in the band's debut album, which was released on October 25, 2007. The record “Swing” received a huge amount of laudatory reviews, Centr (now the team is called that way, due to copyright problems) began touring. The video for the song "City of Roads" finally consolidated the success.

The second album of the group - "Ether is OK" - was released in 2008 and was able to repeat the success of the debut disc. The theme of the texts has not changed: drugs, problems with law enforcement, street life. A year after the release of the second album, Guf leaves the band, Centr continues to tour activity consisting of two people.

After a significant break, in 2014, the first prerequisites for the unification of the group appeared. In their instagrams, the participants posted joint photos, and at the end of the year the single “Turns” is released - the first collaboration of all three participants in more than five years. During the tour, the team is attacked by the LDPR deputy, Dmitry Nosov. Guf and Slim are imprisoned for a short period of time (a week), after which they return to Moscow. The story caused a wide public outcry and was covered on television.

In 2016, the album “System” was released, which the group celebrated with large-scale presentations in the capitals and another concert tour. As Ptakha later said, even before the release of the disc, the participants once again had a big fight and decided to stop cooperation. In April, the group again announced the breakup, and Guf and Slim started recording a joint EP “GuSli”

The Centr group is one of the most successful and promoted rap brands on the domestic hip-hop scene. Guf in solo form (after leaving the team), however, apparently, collects the cashier no less.

Composition of the Centr group

Slim (2005 - present, was officially on sabbatical from a colleague for some time)

"Centr" is a Russian rap group from Moscow, the winner of MTV Russia 2008 in the "Hip-Hop" nomination. The current composition of the group: Slim, Bird. In August 2009, Guf left the band. After his departure, rumors began to appear about the breakup of the group, but they were not destined to come true. This event became so striking and loud that at the 2010 Russian Street Awards in the nomination "Hip-Hop Event of the Year" won "disintegration Centr group.

The group "Centr" is the founder of the label "CAO Records". The main theme of the group's songs are life stories, including stories about drugs.

Period 2004-2005: Creation of the Centr group

Group "Center" was formed in 2004 by two Moscow companies known as Rolexx and Princip. In this composition, they recorded an unofficial album called "Gift". The circulation was only 13 copies, which were presented to the closest friends for the New Year.
Since 2002, the future Guf has been working on his debut album. During the creation of the album, his acquaintance with the group "Les Miserables" began, in which Ptaha participated, who left it in 2000 due to disagreements with the rest of the participants in the creative plan. Rolexx's and Bird's song "Hop-Hop" is included in the album "Gift". In the same year, Ptakha became interested in the work of the guys and joined the "Center".
Later, the Smoke Screen group became interested in Rolexx and Princip, in 2002, a member of which, Slim, recorded the song “Wedding” together with Rolexx and also began to collaborate with the Center group, recording Rolexx’s soundtrack for the first version the songs “Who plays how”, as well as the songs “Leader”, “Clap-clap”, “New Year's” (first version).

Now there were 4 MCs in the "Center": Princip, Rolex-x (later became Guf), Ptah and Slim. However, Princip went to prison between 2004 and 2005. For a while, the group's work was interrupted: Slim remained in the Smokescreen group, Rolexx continued to work on a solo album. But soon the performers united again and began joint work as part of: Guf, Slim, Ptah.

Period 2006-2008: release of the sensational albums of the Centr group "Swing" and "Ether is normal"

In 2006, the Smoke Screen group released the album Floors. Guf, then still Rolex-x, participated in the recording of the album. In addition to the work of "Smoke Veil", the group "Center" again began to write songs, the old songs of the group were re-released. In the period 2006-2007, the participants of the "Center" were engaged in the re-release of the album "Gift", which was released in 2007. In 2006, Guf, Slim and Ptaha recorded the songs Muddy Muddy and Heat 77, written specifically for the film ZHARA.
“- By the way, how did you get into the soundtrack for the film ZHARA?

Guf: - Yes, it's all thanks to Ptah, he broke everything. He was first taken to star in the episode, and then they found out that he was still rapping, they offered him to participate in writing the sound track, then they found out that I was working with him. And as a result, this work was born. Perhaps now it will be possible to record another soundtrack for the film "Shadow Boxing 2".

The guys soon began to write songs, the themes of which were related to the use of drugs, like "Muddy Muds". Other rap artists became interested in the guys: Pale from the Ezekiel 25:17 group, Basta, 5 Plyukh and Zubril, who at that time took a new pseudonym - Strizh, and Slim becomes his producer.
At the end of 2006, Center created their own label, TsAO Records, on which in 2007 a reissued Smoke Screen album, Floors, was released. A little later, Guf's solo album "City of Roads" was released, which was recognized as one of the best albums of that year in Russian rap.

In the same year, due to copyright problems, the group changes its name from "Center" to "Centr".
On October 25, 2007, the group's debut album "Swing" was released. Interest in the album was increased after the success of "Road City", which took place shortly before the release of "Swing". co-founder group "Centr" Princip at that time had already left prison, but was temporarily torn off by law enforcement agencies from creativity, and after his release he recorded together with group "Centr" the songs "Iron Sky" and "Confession", included in the album "Swing", a year later - an autobiographical verse for the song "Everyday Life" on the album "Ether is Normal".

In 2007 group «Centr» in the person of Guf, together with Basta, he writes the second soundtrack - an updated song of the first "My Game" for the film "Shadow Boxing 2: Revenge".
On September 9, 2008, the group performed in the program "Artist's Day" on the A-ONE TV channel.
In 2008, the group's second album, "Ether is OK", was released, which touched upon the topics of drugs and their trafficking, Moscow streets and policemen. In their texts, the participants admit how and what drugs they used (see slang for drug addicts). Princip also featured on the album. Released on DVD the same year. Center. Ether is normal. Concert in Moscow. Centr group wins the MTV RMA award together with Basta for the song "City of Roads" from the album "Swing".
2009-2012: Guf's departure and "Legends of ... Centr"

In the summer of 2009 Princip was again detained by the police. That same summer, in June, Guf left the band. He stated this in his interview. In September 2009, Slim's debut album "Cold" and a video for the track of the same name were released. In October, Ptakha's debut album "Nothing" was released. In December, Guf’s second studio album “Houses” was released, which was no longer released on the “CAO”. On January 7, 2010, Ptaha, in an interview, announced the breakup of the group. But despite this, the tour of the Centr group (Slim, Ptah) then continued.

After the breakup of the group, a video was shot for the song "Is It Easy to Be Young". It was removed because, under the terms of the contract with the label, two clips were supposed to be provided for the songs from the album "Ether is OK". Each member of the group was filmed separately at different times, in different places, and they did not see each other (although Slim and Ptah often crossed paths). In the video report on the third anniversary of the "CAO", Ptaha spoke about his future and the future group "Centr":
“I found myself. I changed my name because the Centr group is no more, and I tell you a secret - there was not and will not be a third participant - we were kidding! third album group "Centr" it won’t, if he does, then only three of us with Guf, and this is unlikely. Well, God forbid, of course, God forbid! That's it! Peace to everyone - it was the Bore from the CAO. Rest in peace " Center", rest in peace Bird! Peace to all of you, all the best to you! »

Unexpectedly, in 2010, the Centr group again made itself felt:
« July 26 at Arena Moscow Wu-Tang Clan in in full force will perform in front of the Moscow public. Before the concert, the organizers prepared a pleasant surprise for hip-hop fans, the newly reunited and perhaps the most popular rap team in our country will take the stage - group «Centr».
November 3, 2011, after long postponements, the album "Legends of Center”, Recorded jointly with the group“ Legends of ... ”, is finally released. At the end of March 2012, the stadium RUMA 2012 hip-hop award was held, where the album "Legends of Center” became the “Album of the Year”, and Slim won the “Artist of the Year” nomination.
In a report from Slim's solo concert in May, the band members said that the project Center frozen indefinitely.

Group name Centr
In 2007, after the release of the City of Roads album, the group changed its name from Center to Centr due to the fact that its original name coincided with the name of the famous Soviet-Russian-American group "Center" by Vasily Shumov, which has existed since the late 1970s. The group's current name is Center» - contrary to the norms in English(missing the letter "e" at the end of the word).
Later, a message appeared on the official website of the Center group expressing indignation that, in their opinion, the name of the group had been plagiarized. Group " Center were accused of the similarity of the names being a ploy, to which they replied that it was a mere coincidence.

Centr clash with other MCs
In 2007, the group released the song "About Love", in which Ptaha says that disses are not the main thing in rap. The song's controversy is that the massive insults to many rappers make the song a diss. Also in this song, Ptaha mentioned the battle rappers St1M and Drago, which provoked the latter to record the answer song “In the Center” and an amateur video for it. In this song, Drago jokingly insults Ptakha and the rest of the group, stating that they promote cocaine (“I am an athlete, I promote boxing, the Centr group from Moscow promotes coke”), and their listeners are drug addicts (“three junkies collect really sickly halls - no wonder: there are a lot of drug addicts in Russia"). After this song, there were many videos from both sides and a call to a mixfight from Bird. After the mixfight did not take place, Drago wrote the track "herolash 3".

In August 2009, after a conflict with Slim and Bird, Guf left the group and took up solo work.
After the departure of Guf, rumors began to appear about the breakup of the group. This event became so loud that at the Russian Street Awards 2010 in the nomination "Hip-hop event of the year" won the "disintegration of the group Center».
“In fact, the question is why we broke up. It happened not because we envied him. True reason The collapse is rooted in the events of June 6, 2009 in Lugansk. "- Ptah explains to us

Interesting facts of the Centr group
On the Internet you can find the song "Dust", which consists of two verses dedicated to the theme of the film "Black Lightning", and the words of the song "A'Studio" - "Black Lightning", which is included in the official soundtrack of the film, are used as a chorus.

The group was formed in 2004 in Moscow by Alexei "Guf" Dolmatov (formerly known as Rolex-X) and Nikolai "Principal" Nikulin. In this composition, they recorded the first demo album called "Gift". The circulation was only 13 copies, which were presented to the closest friends for the New Year.

Since 2002, Guf has been working on his debut album. During the creation of the album, his acquaintance with the group "Les Miserables" began, in which Ptaha participated. Guf's and Bird's song "Hop-Hop" was included in the album "Gift". In the same year, Ptaha, having become interested in the work of the guys, leaves the Les Misérables and joins the Center group.

Principle.

Later, the Smoke Screen group became interested in Rolex-X and Princip, in 2002 a member of the group - Slimus (later Slim) - recorded the song "Wedding" together with Rolex-X. Now Slim also began to collaborate with the Center group, having recorded Rolex-X's minus for the song "Who plays how" (2004 version), as well as for the songs "Leader", "Clap-clap", "New Year's" (version 2004).

Now there were 4 MCs in the Center: Princip, Rolex-X (later Guf), Bird and Slimus (later Slim). However, Princip went to prison between 2004 and 2005. The group's work was interrupted for a while: Slimus remained in the Smoke Screen group, Rolex-X continued to work on a solo album. But soon the rappers united again and began joint work as part of: Guf, Slim, Ptah.

In 2006, the group "Smoke Veil" released the album "Etazhi", literally the best album of the group. Guf participated in the recording of the album.

Guf.

In addition to the work of "Smoke Veil", the group "Center" again began to write songs, the old songs of the group were reissued.

In the period 2006-2007, the participants of the "Center" were engaged in the re-release of the album "Gift", the re-released album was released in 2007.

In the same year, 2006, Guf, Slim and Ptaha recorded the songs "Mutny Muddy" and "Heat 77" written specifically for the comedy film "ZHARA".

Slim.

After the release of the film ZHARA, the country started talking about the Center group. It's just that the director of the film, Rezo Gigienishvili, offered Ptakh to play a cameo role, and when he found out that Ptakh knew Guf, he suggested that the Center group write a soundtrack. Guf's recitative plays on the radio in the car of one of the main characters of the film.

By the way, how did you get into the soundtrack for the film ZHARA? Guf: - Yes, it's all thanks to Ptah, he broke through everything. He was first taken to star in the episode, and then they found out that he was still rapping, they offered him to participate in writing the sound track, then they found out that I was working with him. And as a result, this work was born. Perhaps now it will be possible to record another soundtrack for the film "Shadow Boxing 2".

The guys soon began to write songs of narcotic content, like Muddy Muds. Other rap artists became interested in the guys: Pale from the Ezekiel 25:17 group, Basta, 5Plyukh and Zubril, who at that time took a new pseudonym - Strizh, and Slim becomes his producer.
At the end of 2006, Center created their own label, TsAO Records, which is currently one of the most famous alternative labels.

CAO Records in 2007 releases a reissued album "Smoke Screen" - Floors. A little later, Guf's solo album "City of Roads" was released, which was recognized as one of the best albums of that year in Russian rap.

In the same year, the group changes its name to "CENTR".

On October 25, 2007, the band's debut album, Swing, was released, which received recognition from listeners. Interest in the album was increased after the success of "Road City", which took place shortly before the release of "Swing". The co-founder of the CENTR group - Princip - was already out of prison at that time, but was temporarily torn off by law enforcement agencies from creativity, after his release he recorded the tracks Iron Sky and Confession, which were included in the album Swing, together with the CENTR group ”, a year later - the song “Weekdays” in the album “Ether is Normal”, then left the group and took up solo work.

In 2007, the CENTR group wrote the second soundtrack - an inversion of the song "My Game" for the movie "Shadowboxing 2: Revenge".

Bird.

On September 9, 2008, the group performed in the program "Artist's Day" on the A-ONE TV channel.
In 2008, the group's second album, "Ether is OK", was released, which touched upon the themes of drugs, Moscow streets and policemen. In their texts, the participants admit how and what drugs they used (see slang for drug addicts). Princip also featured on the album.
In the same year, CENTR. Ether is normal. Concert in Moscow.

The CENTR group wins the MTV RMA award together with Basta for the song City of Roads from the Swing album.

In the summer of 2009 Princip was again detained by the police. In the same summer of 2009, Guf left the band. He stated this clearly in his interview.

In September 2009, Slim's debut album "Cold" and a video for the track of the same name were released.
In October 2009, Ptakha's first studio album "Nothing" was released.

In December 2009, Guf’s 2nd studio album “Houses” was released, not released at the Central Administrative District.
On January 7, 2010, Ptaha, in an interview, announced the breakup of the group. But despite this, the tour of the CENTR group (Slim, Ptaha) continues.

Group Center.

Already after the "disintegration" of the group, a video was shot for the song "Is It Easy to Be Young". It was filmed because, under the terms of the contract with the label, two clips were supposed to be shot for the album “Efir is OK”. Each member of the group was filmed separately at different times, in different places, and they did not see each other (although Slim and Ptah often crossed paths).

By April 2010, as Ptakha (Nere) and Slim stated in the Urbana program (issue dated March 16, 2010), a joint album of the CENTR group (Slim, Ptakha) and the Legends of Pro group should be released. It will be called "Legends of Pro CENTR".

In a video report on the third anniversary of CAO, Ptaha spoke about his future and the future of the CENTR group:
I found myself. I've changed my name because the CENTR group is no more, and I'm telling you a secret - there was not and will not be a third participant - we were kidding! There will be no third album of the CENTR group, if it is, then only three of us with Guf, and this is unlikely. Well, God forbid, of course, God forbid! Like this! Peace to all - it was a Bore from the "CAO". Rest in peace CENTR, rest in peace Ptah! Peace to all of you, all the best to you!

Suddenly, in 2010, the CENTR group again made itself felt: on July 29, at the ARENA MOSCOW club, the Wu-Tang Clan in full force will perform in front of the Moscow public. Before the concert, the organizers prepared a pleasant surprise for hip-hop fans, the newly reunited and, perhaps, the most popular rap team in our country, the CENTR group, will take the stage.

Centr group- this is the most valuable thing in the domestic rap segment, many hip-hop adepts thought at the peak of their fame (years 2008-2009), but later it turned out that this was not so. But first things first... Rap portal http: // site presents to your attention a dramatic story rap group Centr, restoring everything step by step creative development this team.

Russian rap should be happy! Main group end of zero and adept new wave malicious drug rap Center- reunited again (or rose from hell - as competitors would say). For a long time it was not completely clear in what form and composition rap would be revived. Centr group, after all, the guys stayed for years by no means on friendly terms. But resentment and anger pass, and then the times of crisis dictate a change in business strategy. So Gufu had no choice but to return to the bosom of the team, the creator of which he was.

As soon as it is clear that Center still revived - update the data in dossier on the Centr group whose history and biography excites millions of fans across the country.
We look forward to official news about the revival of Centr, and not fleeting intriguing interviews and videos of joint performances. Center- more than just a group, a whole phenomenon that strengthened the position of drug rap (and at the same time the degradation of youth).

The composition of the Centr group and the CAO label. CREATED UNDER a kind of PATRONAGE of the team, our audience is interested no less than the competitive one. And here, too, there are many uncertainties.

The big omission of our portal about all facets Russian rap- the fact that we somehow lost sight of the history of one of the most promoted and revered bands - CENTER. No, we, of course, had both active discussions and appeals to difficult Biographies of Centr members- each individually - but in general about the group CENTER, as a phenomenon - we somehow forgot. But it is important to admit mistakes and correct them, why our website about undercurrents Russian rap starts immediately:

Center- is no longer just one of the most famous bands Russian rap segment, but also a visible phenomenon in our show business and pop world - with all the attributes (despite the image of the guys from the streets) - participation in corporate parties and all sorts of official events that the bureaucracy arranges for its people in order to amuse the cattle and at the same time to organize these celebrations, saw off another piece of the budget of active listeners of the domestic hip-hop style, mainly young people ...

In the metropolitan association of the Central Administrative District (and moreover - directly in Centr group).

Group conflicts Center

Group name Center

In 2007, after the release of the album "Swing", the group changed its name from "Center" to Center due to the fact that its original name coincided with the name of the famous Soviet-Russian-American group "Center" by Vasily Shumov, which has existed since the late 1970s. The current name of the group - "CENTR" - is contrary to the norms of the English language (the letter "E" at the end of the word is missing).

Later, a message appeared on the official website of the Center group expressing indignation that, in their opinion, the name of the group had been plagiarized. group Center were accused of the similarity of the names being a ruse, to which they replied that it was a mere coincidence.

Clash with other representatives of the hip-hop party

In 2008, the group released the song "About Love", in which Ptaha says that disses are not the main thing in rap. The song's controversy is that the massive insults to many rappers make the song a diss. Also in this song, Ptaha mentioned St1M and Drago (known as aggressive battle rappers), which provoked the latter to record the answer song “In the Center” and an amateur video for it. In this song, Drago jokingly insults Ptaha and the rest of the group, stating that they promote cocaine (“I am an athlete, I promote boxing, the group Center propagandizes coke from Moscow”), and their listeners are drug addicts (“three junkies gather really sickly halls - no wonder: there are a lot of drug addicts in Russia”). After this song, there were many videos from both sides and a call to a mixfight from Bird.
After the mixfight did not take place, Drago wrote the track "Herolash 3".

Guf's departure from Center
In August 2009, after a conflict with Slim and Bird, Guf left the group Center and took up solo work.
After leaving Guf "and from Center Rumors began to surface that the band was breaking up. This event became so amazing and loud that at the Russian Street Awards 2010 in the nomination "Hip-hop event of the year" the "disintegration of the CENTR group" won.
“In fact, the question is why we broke up. It happened not because we envied him. The true reason for the collapse is rooted in the events of June 6, 2009 in Luhansk.” - Bird explains to us

As part of the group, he released two solo albums: Cold and Distinguish People. Slim has 4 albums "Smoke Screen" and 2 "CENTR" behind his back, as well as a joint album with the Constant / KONSTANTAH group "Azimuth"

He recorded his second solo album "Doma" on the label "CAO Records", but after a quarrel with Slim and Ptakha, he replaced some of Vadim's "beats" with Miko's backing tracks, and served this "dish" by signing with the newly created label.
