Goblin Auction Selling pets in WoW

Many novice gamers do not know how to use the auction features in the WOW game. An auction is, in fact, a trading platform where you can buy or sell this and that product. There are three auctions in the game world - Alliance, Horde, neutral, or inter-faction.

How to play auction in wow | Buying a lot

To purchase an item, you should use the "Search" tab (the first one in a row). In the search engine, you need to enter the name of the product and set up filtering. There are a lot of filters, so the setting depends on what exactly you need, for example, it can be regents or weapons, other goods. Using the filtering system, you can also set the desired item and the level at which it should be. So to answer the question how to play wow auction read on.

When the search is completed, you will immediately be able to buy the item. But here you may have questions, since you, as a novice player, do not yet know how to use the auction itself. For example, you may be confused by the presence of two lines with the cost of the same product. Here the point is as follows: the bottom line is the ransom amount (that is, the seller sets the price that he wants to receive for the product), and the top line is the rate offered by the gamer who wants to purchase this product.

If the price does not suit you, you can bargain, otherwise immediately buy the goods. After that, go to the post office to pick up the purchased loot. But if you decide to bargain, place your bet, after which you will have to wait for the end of the auction. In the event that during the entire auction no one beats your bid, the goods will arrive at the post office no later than two days later.

How to sell a lot on the World of Warcraft auction

If you want to sell any product, use the "Lots" tab (the third in a row). After that, select the item you want to sell, and place it there. You should decide on the price of the item to be sold, and then click the "Announce Auction" button. After that, you will be charged a deposit, the amount of which depends on the price of the goods sold. The item will be returned to the post office if no one buys it within two days, however, the deposit is non-refundable.

Features of using the auction

In addition to all of the above, you should also be aware of other features of the auction game in World of Warcraft. First of all, do not forget that both when selling and when buying goods at any auction, a commission is necessarily charged - 5% of the value of the goods (which you assigned when selling or for which you are going to buy). Do not forget to take this into account so that you can get the amount you are counting on.

In the event that for one reason or another you do not want to sell the item, for example, you change your mind), you have the opportunity to cancel the auction for it, removing the item from sale. To do this, go to the "Lots" tab and check the box for the desired lot. The lot will be withdrawn from the auction.

Thus, as you could already understand, using the auction in the game is not difficult. As a rule, you can use any of the three auctions available in WOW.

Transferring items and gold through factions

Each server has 2 markets. Two economies, two kinds of values, and the two most isolated groups of people. Neutral faction auction houses, comfortably located as far away from civilization as can be, in other words in Gadgetzan, Booty Bay and Everlook, is the only place where the Horde and the Alliance will be able to trade between themselves, and this auction has steeper prices for doing business.

The prices for the auction and the deposit here are increased 3 times from the usual ones.

Needless to say, the prices and location of the auctions of neutral factions make the auctions of each faction the most convenient for doing business, therefore, the lion's share of all business takes place in separate auctions for the two factions. Then what are neutral faction auctions for? Clever man can use them to transfer items and money between factions for personal gain.

Find out your market

First, let's chat about the possibilities. Now all realms, including PvP, allow players to create characters from both factions. Go and create yourself a twink of the opposite faction, run to the nearest city and view the auction. You have the opportunity to choose from a variety of market branches, such as:

Items obtained from farming in Northrend (ore, plants, leather, enchanting ingredients, processed and unprocessed crystals, enchantment scrolls)

Items farmed in the Old World

Completed Sellable Items (Raid consumables, permanent armor/weapon enchantments, crafted and uncrafted crystals, enchantment scrolls)

Pets, especially those that can only be picked up by playing as a certain faction

Armor (epic, for twinks and skill)

Rare Ingredients

I would advise you to start with what you already understand. If you're able to find cheaper ingredients for something you can craft and sell, then that's an easy answer. And if you try to do something that you have never done under any circumstances, then get ready that this will be a real test, so try to find the most profitable options.

Let's say you notice that there is a huge difference in price between titanium ore at the Horde and Alliance auctions and you want to purchase them at the Horde auction and sell them (or use them) on the Alliance side.

Carryover is good

Transferring things from one faction to another sounds easy enough in theory. You need a friend or a second account. In the domestic example, you need to run to the auction of a neutral faction, put the ore on the auction and ask a friend to buy it for you, and later transfer it to your character for the Alliance.

Difficulties arise at a time when you need to reduce the working group of the auction. That 15% can turn into something big and you also have to pay 5% on your faction's auction house. The only thing you can do to avoid this is to lower the price by what amount it can be, say, to 1 silver.

Under such conditions, the working group will be minimal.

The only trouble that you have the opportunity to encounter is contained in the following. Let's say there's a level 1 troll on the Neutral faction auction in Pirate's Cove with the nickname GotchaNub, who always updates the auction and takes bids like the domestic one faster than your buddy does. Who knows, maybe he also uses a bot.

And maybe it has an easy low latency. It doesn't matter how he does it, because the serious thing is that we risk losing all domestic ore!

Here's the best response against those snipers I've come across. Your equipment doesn't matter here:

1. Sell copper ore for 1 bronze coin. This will be a domestic inviting auction.

2. Do not, under any circumstances, submit more than 1 auction at a time at the same time.

3. When the sniper reveals himself (by taking ore from you or, if he's lucky, taking something you really care about), finish everything. Close all auctions if you understand what to do next, in particular:

In case you have a buddy and don't want to procrastinate, put your ore on sale for a higher price, then you have a chance that it will pass the sniper's eye.

If you have a second account and you don't have any problems with postponing for a second time - make a ticket informing about the sniper and do something else for a few hours.

If you are sure that he is a bot, then buy something inexpensive and stackable from the vendor. once I bought 4000 arrows for 20 silver and sold them for 40, and the bot later had to take them out of the mail for half an hour. If you lose less than 15% percent on similar snipers, you will still lose less than if you did it with a risk-free method.

Money transfer is carried out in a similar way. If you need to send money to your twink for another faction, you have the opportunity to put a certain item on sale for the amount that you want to take and purchase this item for your main character. But keep in mind, you will lose 15% of that amount due to the commission.

In the second way, you have the opportunity to use the method that I outlined above and sell the ore to get the initial amount of money. At the time when you have a certain amount on both the twink and the main character, then you can constantly transfer things through the factions instead of money in the auctions of the neutral faction. The only thing it costs is time and snipers.

Getting to the auction

If you started out as a Twink of the opposite faction, then you probably need to find a way to transfer a level 1 character to the neutral faction's auction house. Here is the easiest method:

Horde. Bringing a Horde character to a neutral faction auction is easy. Create an orc or troll, and in the starting area, find a place where you have the opportunity to jump into the river that goes west (left on the map).

You will probably aggro the crab and die. Then you can respawn in Ratchet, take a boat to Pirate Bay and that's it!

Alliance. Unfortunately, there is no shortcut. But this is the smallest of those that I know. Create a human, run to Westfall and later, dying and respawning, run to Booty Bay.

Successful character transfer from one realm to another

I got an entertaining email from a reader who is looking for a way to transfer their entire gold to a new realm:

I relatively recently transferred my own character to a new, not very populated realm, in order to try my hand at raiding in a new guild. It turned out that it was a very successful transfer and I plan to stay on this server.

I had a decent amount of gold on the old realm, but I was only able to transfer 50 thousand per character. And also at the end of how I did it, I still have a lot of unused gold on the character. I'm about to port my twink to a new realm and would like to find a way to bring more gold with me.

Do I have to buy all those expensive things that I can implement on the new realm? should I go to create a guild in order to transfer it, tk. Is there a transfer limit on it? Since the transfer of two characters is too expensive for me.

What is needed for this is Arbitration through factions. Also, arbitrage through factions allows you to receive money - in addition, if your goal is to transfer more money that you are allowed to transfer.

Limits are for the weak

You do not have the opportunity to transfer the amount of gold you need at the time when you transfer the character. I won't explain why, but the limits are set by Blizzard depending on the level. If you are above level 80, you can carry more than 50 thousand gold. I think that for most people this is completely normal, but it does not take quite a lot of work in order to get even more coins.

As stated in the letter, one solution to the problem has already been discovered - the transfer of the guild, the gold limit of which is equal to the maximum possible amount of gold in the guild - 1 million gold.

Another plus: if your character has been the guild master for the required seven days, then the transfer of the guild includes the transfer of the guild master. It costs another $10 to move a guild with you, allowing you to move as much gold as most players would never be able to take under any circumstances. In addition, it gives you enough space to store various things that can be realized.

If you have the opportunity to do this on your main realm, it will cost your nerves and your money.

Risks in arbitration

Take things cheaper on the main realm and sell them more expensive on the second one. It seems easy, and basically, it's really easy. But you may run into one of several troubles, depending on the resources you have with you.

And based on this, you will need to find the most successful products for resale.

Finding the amount of gold per inventory slot

The more compact you pack your gear before moving your character, the more money you can get yourself. The less money you're willing to transfer, the less you have to worry about, but if you pay the extra $10 for a guild, you'll seem to have significantly more space.

Any character has a bank with 26 slots in it and room for 7 additional bags of any size and type. In addition, we have a briefcase for 16 slots and 4 slots for bags on a domestic character. How more money you put in bags (the more expensive and bigger bags you buy), the more space you will have. Be that as it may, the profit from each slot in particular must justify the price of each slot. This also applies to the slots in the guild cell. They are inexpensive only at first glance.

After a certain point, they become expensive so that the profit from the slots does not justify the price of the cell. But do not pay attention to it if you have the opportunity to spend a certain amount on it.

Divide the amount of gold that you get from selling items in slots by the number of slots and this will be the amount of gold that falls on any inventory slot, i.e. bank, guild cells and your bags and your own inventory.

What is your yield?

When you understand how you should arrange your items, you can start to figure out which items to pick up in order to receive maximum number gold output on the second realm. If you only plan to trade chopper parts and vials of sand, then your steam options are limited unless you have the ability to expand the number of free slots.

Profitability is a value that shows how much income you have the opportunity to take by reselling things from one realm to another. This is not just a value that indicates the minimum price in the auction of the second realm minus the minimum price in the auction of the main realm. You also need to take into account that you will need to pay 5% for the sale of goods, and given that you may need to resell a couple of times, the percentage increases accordingly.

Likewise, if you bring a large enough quantity of any commodity with you, you will most likely need to sell the last part of it for much less than the first. You certainly have the opportunity to try to remedy the situation by selling parts of the product with a long lead time, but then you still need to change prices. Also, the most compact and profitable product - things that become personal when dressed, in most cases always get cheaper.

You will need to find a balance between the required costs, your resources on the main realm and the final profit in order for this to work.

Solvency combination

Items that you will be able to implement soon include: armor, essentials, pets and the like. The items you will have to wait to sell are mostly mounts and pets. Try to find a balance between fast-selling items with items that take a while to sell, so that you always have cash and some money for the future, just in case.

In general, you need to find things that will not become obsolete or unnecessary, or increase the ability to supply these things over time. Two good examples of this are items from the Black Sorrow quest and rare mounts that won't kill a lot of monsters to get those mounts in the next update.

Under no circumstances skip studying

I don't know what I would do without Undermine Journal. Also, it goes without saying that if you understand the historical price changes in both realms for both factions, then you can save a lot of time. In addition, you will be able to find the wealthiest players who may want to buy the necessary item in bulk directly from you, which will also save you a lot of time, and you will not need to pay the auction team in the form of 5% of the item price.

To make these searches even more common, you have the option to visit different categories on the Undermine Journal, of course visit the pages of the second realms to compare prices with the auctions on the second realms. Categories can be found by hovering over enhancements (improvements) or consumables (consumable goods) on the site in the Menu block (menu), after selecting the necessary realm.

An integral part of the game is the auction house, a place where players can buy and sell items obtained during the adventure. For beginners, however, it is sometimes difficult to understand this system. We hope our guide to the auction house in WoW will help them with this.

What is an auction?

The system of obtaining items in WoW is very wide: every day, players get a huge amount of things, mine ore, find rare plants, create equipment and weapons using professions. New items number in the thousands. Players want to easily sell excess and buy the necessary goods. That's what an auction is for.

The auction system in the game is simple (although you can't tell at first glance), but at the same time, it is quite effective. This system can be conditionally divided into three parts: the Alliance auction, the Horde auction and the neutral auction, which can be used by representatives of both factions. There is an auction in every major city (capital) of the Horde and the Alliance. All auctioneers of one faction have friendly relations, so the system is the same for the whole faction: goods exhibited in one city can be purchased in another. The neutral auction was created for trading between factions - the goods put up for it can be purchased not only by your friends, but also by opponents. The mediation is carried out by neutral goblins, which can be found in Booty Bay and Gadgetzan.

To sell or buy some goods, the player needs to contact the auctioneer. You can find it by asking the city guard for directions.

Buying Items

Search

The first tab - "View" is used to purchase items. You can enter the name (in whole or in part) of the product you need (the "Name" field) if you are looking for something specific, or set the search area using filters.

You can filter the results in many ways. In the left vertical column is a filter that allows you to select the type of item you are looking for - for example, "Weapons" or "Reagents". Some items have drop-down filters that allow you to further refine your search, such as "Weapons" - "Staffs".

At the top of the auction window are other filters. Here you can set the quality of the item (rare, epic, etc.) and level range (keep in mind that item levels differ from character level). If you check the "Appropriate" checkbox, then you will see, taking into account other specified filters, only items that can be used by the character in this moment.

You can also use the "Name" field together with the above filters, for example, specify a part of the name of the item you are looking for.

The search results obtained can be sorted by all available categories: quality, price, term, seller, item level.

Purchase

You will be able to purchase the found goods immediately. Beginners are often put into a stupor by two lines with a price for one item. However, this is the most common way to sell items in WoW. top line in this case means the size of the bet , and the lower one - the size of the ransom . You can place a bet on this lot, or immediately buy it out - the buttons of the same name are located in the lower left part of the window. If you redeem the product, it will immediately come to your mail and the character will be able to use it. If you decide to place a bid, the specified amount of money will be debited from you, but you will receive the goods only when the auction period expires (12, 24 or 48 hours) and only if no one outbids your bid or redeems the goods during this time . In this case, the bet money will be returned to you by mail.

Selling Items

To sell items, the third tab is used: "Lots". Select the item in your inventory that you want to put up for sale and drag it to a special window on the "Lots" tab. There you can also set the price of the bid and redemption, the duration of the auction. You can choose the size of the "bundle" - the number of units of goods in one lot and the number of "bundles" - the total number of lots. The price can also be set for a unit of goods, or for the entire bundle at once. The listing of goods is completed by pressing the "Announce auction" button.

Pledge

When exhibiting most of the goods, the auctioneers take a cash deposit from the seller, which depends on the value of the lot. If your product finds a buyer, the amount of the deposit will come to your mail along with the proceeds. If a buyer is not found, you will not receive a refund of the deposit amount.

If someone buys your item, its appearance in the "Lots" tab will change slightly to show that this item has already been purchased. There you will also see how long the money from the sale will come to your mail. You can receive money only an hour after someone has purchased the goods.

If no one bought your product for the entire period (which you indicated when placing it - 12, 24, 48 hours), the product will be returned to you by mail

Commission

Goods sold are subject to a small commission, which is deducted from the seller's proceeds. The commission amount is 5% for regular auctions and 10% for neutral auctions. Thus, when planning the price of a product, you should remember that in the end you will earn 5% less money. For example, if your item sold for 1000 gold, you will only receive 950.

Cancellation of lots

If for some reason you change your mind about selling an item at auction, you can always cancel the item. To do this, in the "Lots" tab, select the desired item from the list and click the "Cancel auction" button at the bottom right. If the auction is canceled, you will not receive a refund of the deposit amount.

Auction addons

Many different add-ons have been created to facilitate and automate the work with the auction. The most popular are listed below:

  • Auctioner and Auctionator : great addons for working with the auction. They will be useful mainly to those who plan to earn good money by selling and reselling things.
  • Auction Profit : A little add-on that calculates the profit from the sale of all the items you list and displays it at the bottom of the auction window.
  • Market Watcher: With this addon, you can track price changes for certain products; the data is displayed in the form of graphs.

Greetings to all mmoboom readers! Without further ado, I'll get straight to the point.
Today I will try to tell you about one way to earn gold in World of Warcraft. I will tell you about the basics of the game at the Auction.
Little warning

Little warning

Why Auction?
- Much more effective than simple farming
— Allows you to quickly earn gold to buy mounts and other stuff
And besides, it's fun!

Well, in the meantime, I'll continue. So we have saved up enough money and now we are moving on to another activity, namely market research.

1. Auctioneer

To get started, download this addon here.
In short, this addon is a very powerful tool that records and saves price data history for all auction items. It comes with a complete set of all modules required for future work. Even for a casual player, this addon can be a good assistant in making money. If you find it difficult to deal with this addon right away, then try disabling and trying modules one by one in order to feel more comfortable in the future.

One of the first things you will need is data collection. Spend at least a week, and preferably two, before you can safely trust what the addon tells you (at this time, just the same, you can safely farm gold). Some players will drive down the price (accidentally or not) by listing items at completely absurd prices. That is why it is very important to create a stable base for further work.

Tip: If an item has been priced down, you can reset its price with the /auc clear command

The addon can collect data using "Scan" or through Getall. Function "Scan" checking each page one by one, which can be very time consuming (to be honest, I don't remember the last time I used it). I recommend the feature Getall: it allows you to download all pages of the auction at once. For this just type /auc getall or bind this function. This process will take 2-3 minutes on weak machines and about 30 seconds on more powerful ones. You can run this function every 15 minutes or when you enter or exit the game.

Running 2-3 processes per day for ~10 days will help you build a base for most lots. Well, one more step on the road to wealth is completed and now we are ready to "flip".

The addon offers several search modules:
  • Arbitrage
  • converter
  • Disenchant
  • EnchantMats
  • General
  • Milling
  • Prospect
  • Resale
  • Snatch
  • Vendor

I will tell you about the search methods in bold. In my opinion they are the most profitable. Let's start with " Resale".

2.1. Resale module

This is the simplest type of search. The module compares the current prices with the recorded ones. If configured incorrectly, it can display thousands of lots. Our goal is for the addon to display those items that have a high resale value, high ROI and low price purchases.

To access this module go to the search tab, expand "Searchers" and select the required module. There are several configurations available:

  • Minimum Profit: Minimum earnings. A larger number will display fewer items, while a smaller number (20-30g) can output more than a hundred items.
  • Minimum Discount: Minimum discount from the original price. I set 65% for myself. For example, if you want 9kg and resell 10kg, then put 90%.
  • Check Seen Count: Ignores all elements that you have already seen n times. My cost is 3, but I also know most of the items used in the game well. This option can help avoid the price cuts I mentioned earlier.
  • Enable Individual Maximum Price: Sets the maximum amount you are willing to pay for an item.
  • Price Valuation: How the addon evaluates the original items. The market price is great for this value.
  • Allow Buyout, Allow Bid, Fees Adjustment: everything is clear here.
Run a search and the addon will display all the lots that match your criteria. Here you can also sort the lots (I recommend sorting by profit):

In this trial run, the addon showed you all the lots for which you can make a profit. All four items next to "1" can be resold and will bring you a profit. Point "2" is shown as very profitable, but this is only the result of a price knockdown. Instead of resetting this item, just click "ignore" and the addon will no longer show this element. Item "3" can't be that expensive, however this recipe has been removed from Cataclysm and can therefore be sold for a huge amount of money. The last label "4" tells us that we can take part in the auction. It's not particularly helpful, especially on a Tuesday evening. You can select these lots only if they are listed for a period of no more than 12 hours. This way you can make a couple of good deals while the servers are updating.

Remember: there are several ways to avoid price gouging. The first one is a button. "Ignore Price" as shown in the picture above. Or you can completely ignore all such items by pressing "Ignore". Sometimes you may feel that the prices of a certain item do not tend to go up. This happens when multiple players try to control the market. If you started playing at the auction at the wrong time best time, then sometimes it makes sense to reset the price again via /auc clear .

Again, I cannot overemphasize the importance of knowing what you are buying before you invest. If you don't recognize an item, then Wowhead is here to help.

Resale Search has one drawback. He will not find extremely rare items that can be sold simply for astronomical sums. Solution? Snatch Search!

2.2. Snatch Module

This module searches for lots within certain price ranges that you set. Let's say you ask him to find a certain item (say, for 3500g or less) and if it is on the auction, the module will immediately recommend you to buy it. It looks like a shopping list, often checked for availability at the auction.

Setting up this module is quite simple. Click "Snatch" on the search tab and place the item in the empty field that is displayed in the addon's interface. Enter a price and click "add item". Creation complete list in this module is an integral part of successful entrepreneurship. Most players don't even know what to look for. It's also worth checking out this list.

Tip: To add items to the list that you don't have in your bag or in the auction, then find it on Wowhead and click on the red "Link" button, which is located on the panel, closer to the right side. A window pops up with an approximate content:

Quote

/script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("\124cffa335ee\124Hitem:67151:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0\124h[Poseidus' Reins]\124h\124r");

Copy this and paste it into WoW chat. You will now be able to place this item on your list.

Some players put literally everything in this list, but I prefer to use this module only for rare items, epics or crafting materials. You can also create separate lists, for example one for rare gems, another for different fabrics, and so on.

This module is quite simple, and if you understand the previous module, then there should be no problems here.

2.3. Arbitrage module

Cross-faction trading is the purchase of goods from one faction, smuggling through a neutral auction, and reselling to another party. This method is one of the most profitable and effective ways earn gold. Of course, there are a few drawbacks to this method, but still it has become very popular over the past 3 years.

The configuration is very similar to the module setup "Resale", but with some additional settings:

Pay attention to the highlighted element. This item is not available to Horde players, which explains the cost-effectiveness of this resale. Interested in more similar items? That way.

2.4. Disenchant module

This module will be very useful for inchanters. In fact, the addon determines the cost of the result of spraying items and their price in the auction. So he finds items that are profitable to buy, and then resell the resulting substances or dust.

Again, it is very important to have a stable price base in order to perform a search. If an addon is overpriced, say for Absolute Dust, then it may incorrectly mark it as profitable.

    The setup is very simple:
  • Minimum profit: Minimum profit from disenchanted item. Set it to 5-10g so it's worth your while.
  • Minimum discount: The minimum discount acceptable for purchases. Set it to 30% or so that you had some margin of freedom.
  • Maximum price for disenchantment: The maximum amount you are willing to pay. Set to 1000g so that you are no longer bothered by this element.
  • Price valuation method: There are many options here, but the market value and the addon itself will tell you the best choice.

That's all! Choose, buy, spray. Combine this with the Enchanting Scrolls and you'll make an easy profit. You will be swimming in gold before you notice it.

2.5. Live Search

The big problem with these modules is that they use a bit "outdated" data. Real auction deals take place a couple of seconds before they can be withdrawn! And again, the addon offers us a solution. realtime search. It's actually very simple. It updates the last pages of the auction and also compares them with the data already known. When the lot is found, the addon will notify you about it and you will only need to click "Ransom". It uses the same criteria that you have set in other modules. Using this feature, you can win several lots in a few seconds. You may be accused of "botting" if you are very fast.

It's my favorite. Have you configured all the modules? Now you can use them all at once, just tell the addon about it.

Note: This module is very well suited for neutral auctions. For a Complete Guide to Trading in Cross Fractional Auctions

Again, this module uses criteria for previously installed search engines. I recommend only using Resale, Snatch and Arbitrage.

  • Search while browsing: Whether to notify you about items while you are viewing items in the auction.
  • Enable automatic last page refresh: Allows the addon to update the last page.
  • Reload interval: The time interval after which the last page will be updated. It was most convenient for me to set 6 seconds, more chance of earning.
  • Pause after manual search: If you search manually, then the addon will wait before refreshing the last page.
  • Alert settings: How do you want the addon to notify you about transactions.
  • Show alert in chat window: Allows an addon to display a message in the chat window. Not necessary.
  • Show searchUI window: Not really sure what this function does. Don't forget to check it out and choose a sound to play when a good deal is found.
  • Power user setting – one click buyout: Check if you want to buy items with one click.
  • Searchers to use: Select the modules you want to use (I talked about this above).
After everything is set up, click on the small magnifying glass. The addon will start looking for all the lots that suit you and will notify you if it finds something.

I am sure that you have more important things to do than stare at the addon's interface window all day long. The good news is that you can minimize WoW to tray and the addon will still work. I advise you to set the game in windowed mode. And you also need to leave the background sounds on so that the addon can notify you when it finds a good deal.

You can leave the addon enabled and go watch a movie, clean your room, or cook dinner yourself. Even while you are reading this article. Sometimes, I leave the addon to work at night, putting very high prices for the lots, because it's not at all offensive if the sound of pure gold wakes me up!

Note: Reducing the Real-time Search update to 1-2 seconds.

Quote

By default, the real-time update has a minimum of 6 seconds. But you can change to 1-2 seconds if you really want to. Interface > Addons > Auc-Advanced > Modules > Auc-Util-SearchUI > open SearchRealTime.lua with Notepad.

Find: "realtime.reload.interval", 6, 60, 1, "Reload interval: %s seconds"
Change to: "realtime.reload.interval", 1, 60, 1, "Reload interval: %s seconds"

Save the changes, restart WoW and now in the settings you can lower the slider to 1-2 seconds.

The bitter truth is that you can't be in WoW 24/7 (at least most of us). For us as entrepreneurs, this means that we simply miss out on tons of deals. I rate it 10/10 on the catastrophe scale, along with hunger and nuclear explosion.

But it would be great if we could always scan the auction, wouldn't it?

TUJ scans auction data 24/7. It uses "caterpillar" accounts to achieve its goal and stores all data in a single database. All this information can then be made available to the user through a web interface on the Internet. TUJ is a very powerful tool and at the same time it is absolutely free, without ads or anything like that, and it is developed through donations.

3.1. Notification Market

Most interesting feature TUJ is a notifications marketplace. Very similar to the real-time search feature of the addon I wrote about above, i.e. it searches and notifies you of all found items based on the given criteria. The good thing is that it's open 24/7.

The notification market works with the help of e-mail notifications. If you have access to WoW at work, then you can set up notifications to your mailbox and select prices for lots at work. Most of us can't access WoW at work, so you can use other ways to manage the auction remotely ($3/month).

Here I am adding a dragon to my list, buying each for 2500g and below (arbitrary amount). Setting up notifications is done in four easy steps:

  • Register with TUJ
  • Set up your account
  • Find the item you want to receive notifications for
  • Fill in the notification field
  • Ready!
Adding all the elements can be a very painstaking job. But you can use . Just use "import" and copy-paste from this thread. Voila, you are one step closer to becoming a tycoon! I'm sure you already feel like a tycoon.

In my case, WoW and remote auction management are not available at work, so a different attack plan is required. This will require:

  • Authenticator
  • Subscription to Remote Auction Management
  • iPhone or Android smartphone
  • Internet access
First, attach an authenticator to your WoW account and download the appropriate smartphone app. And then install the app to manage the auction. The idea is to receive notifications on your smartphone and make purchases from it.

You can use this system literally anywhere and anytime as long as you have internet access!

The only downside to this method is that notifications are not instantaneous. The item may hang for 45-60 minutes before you receive a notification about it.

3.2. The market for profitable professions

TUJ has a huge number of useful features - I touch on them only superficially. But let's look a little deeper, I think this is appropriate here.

In chapter "Enhancement" you will find links to some professions. Let's check Blacksmithing:

Yes, you guessed it! TUJ collects information about each profession and you can find the most profitable trades. What to do is pretty obvious...

4. Automation

Note: This is a very brief overview of what TSM can do. you can find complete guide.

Putting all the items up for auction by hand can be a very tedious task. Fortunately, some addons can automate this process, like TSM for example (after some tweaking, of course). Such additions are a must if you want to fully control the market. Let's take a quick look at this topic.

Note: stay tuned for the development of this addon. It is quickly gaining a reputation as a way to earn gold in WoW. To be honest, soon it will do everything that the addon, which I wrote about at the very beginning, does.

The concept of TSM is extremely simple. You set up "groups" for the auction. You move items to these groups, and TSM places them on the auction according to the rules set for each group. Click to start "Create Category / Group".

Here I can see the category that I named "gouge", and it in turn consists of groups of essences, dust and fragments (1). I offer them at a completely absurd price, while there are no other materials. you can click "add>>" to add more items to the groups. List with right side shows what items are in this group (2). Pressing "Group Overrides", you get to the settings of this group.

TSM offers a huge number of settings that you can change as you please. I won't rehash what the full guide describes, so let's just cover the most basic:

  • post time: Time for which lots are placed. I set 12 hours for characters and 48 for everything else.
  • post cap: The total number of lots to be offered.
  • price threshold: The minimum price you are willing to sell for. At this point, I prefer to use a fixed cost, although you have a few options here that you can play with to create interesting configurations.
  • Fallback price: the addon will place at this price if there are no similar lots.

After setting up TSM, open the auction interface and click on the small TSM button. Then click "Post auctions" and the addon will place the lots accordingly. bam! and 2 hours of work in 1 minute are done!

Thanks to everyone who made it to the end of this post! If there are any wishes, notice errors and so on, then I ask you to unsubscribe in a personal, and not in the comments! I will be glad to any criticism. The article is a free translation and adaptation of this guide

Afterword #2

The developers of WOW did their best to cut off all contact between the Alliance and the Horde. An Orc cannot transfer something to an Elf through the trade window. The gnome will not be served at the Undercity auction. Yes, there is trade! We can't really say two words to each other. But there is one small loophole. Tiny. Almost invisible. Usually ignored by most players. We are talking, of course, about neutral auctions.

Our task is to use them for personal enrichment. Let's get started. The money is already waiting.

First, as usual, a little theory. So... There is a neutral auction in the game, where both Horde and Alliance representatives can trade. Access to this auction is open in three cities - Booty Bay (Stranglethorn Vale), Everlook (Winterspring) and Gadgetzan (Tanaris). Usually this auction is very poor and they sell all sorts of nonsense like cockroaches from Undercity or carefully try to sell shaman armor to the Horde at crazy prices.

We'll take a look at some other ways to use it.

Transfer of money

This is done simply. Your Alliance (Horde) friend is auctioning off a piece of leather, one linen cloth, or whatever your heart desires for 100 gold. You buy this invaluable product, your partner receives the specified amount, and then sends it to your character on the other side by regular mail. As a result, you transferred some amount to your character playing for another faction. The assistant is needed because the game does not allow you to bid on your own goods, regardless of the faction. If you have access to two WOW accounts, then you can perform this operation alone. Disadvantage - 15% income tax. As a result, from 100 gold there will be 85.

Transfer of goods

Produced in a similar way. But there is a nuance: if you put a high price, we will again lose 15% of the amount, if it is low, the goods can be bought before you.

Well, now that we have become familiar with the "pitfalls" of such transactions, we will study trading schemes, learn how to manage without losing money and minimize the risk when transferring goods.

Why is it profitable to trade between factions?

As we mentioned above, the population of the server is distributed unevenly between the Horde and the Alliance. There are many theories that try to explain this: an irresistible craving for long elf ears, horror at the sight of rotting skulls of the undead, a morbid addiction to the dwarf subway, zeppelinophobia and many, many other options. But we, skeptics and pragmatists, do not care. Main question- how to profit from it?

Each server may have its own characteristics. But even without knowing them, I can say in advance that the prices for some items of goods will differ between the Horde and the Alliance. Accordingly, even if within the same auction we can play on the difference in wholesale and retail prices, then trading on two at once is even more so.

Sometimes it may turn out that we do not have to wait for the next recession or fall at all - for example, Greater Eternal Essence in the Alliance will consistently cost 4 gold per item, and in the Horde 5-5.50. That is, we will be able to buy goods in bulk, transport them to the other side and sell them. Usually prices are lower on the more populated side, but this is not always the case. For your server, you will need to do some research and find out the situation yourself.

Sometimes the cheapness of some goods in the Horde compared to the Alliance is not explained by the classical laws of the market. For example, it may happen that the Horde "bot breeders" will focus on Dark Iron Scraps. The supply will rise, the price will fall - you will be able to resell this product on the other side for a very profitable price. And so on - there are many examples.

However, there is one important principle - the larger the range at the auction, the easier it will be to find cheap goods there. And, accordingly, it will be easier to sell them later on the less populated side - after all, there will be less competition at its auctions. At the same time, money will tend to accumulate on the side of the faction for which fewer people play. We'll need to transfer money from there to the more populated side.

How to transfer money without loss?

As we have already said, the direct transfer of money by the method of "false trading" is a loss of 15% of the amount.

    When is it acceptable?

Here it is, the point of transfer of smuggled goods...

The need for a one-time transfer of funds to create start-up capital. Suppose you lose 15 gold out of 100, but taking into account the subsequent earnings of a thousand on desoldering, this can be neglected.

    When is it unacceptable?

Regular money transfers for the purchase of goods for the purpose of subsequent resale. If you get a 30% profit, but 15% is eaten by greedy auction workers, is it worth it? Definitely not. Hence the conclusion - we need to come up with a way to transfer money from the Alliance to the Horde (or vice versa), in which we will not suffer losses.

Method one. You to me, I to you

You find a player who is facing the opposite task. He wants to transfer money to the Horde, and you - to the Alliance. You send him this amount on your side, he sends you the same amount on his side. No taxes, everyone is happy. Alternatively, he just has this money lying around, and he will do you a favor by transferring a part to you and taking this part as his character from another faction.

How to find such people? Ask around in your guild, ask around with friends on both sides of the barricades. Usually finding a few such people is not a problem. The disadvantages of this method are that even if you transfer one or two thousand gold, they will very soon again migrate to the side where you will sell the goods. Yes, you will make a profit, but the money on the purchasing side will run out and trading will stop. You will need to look again for people to transfer funds, but you can not always find them. You will look sadly at the cheap essences in Ironforge, but there is simply nothing to buy them. In other words, the “You to me, I to you” method is very good, but they cannot be used regularly.

Method two. Money disguised as a commodity

For example, the prices of good X do not differ on both sides of the ocean. At the same time, this product is popular and does not require a deposit. In such a situation, we can transfer it from one side to the other through the same auction, buying it for one copper coin, and thus avoid costs. Then we sell it at auction and get the money. Moreover, by finding a product that will cost more on the more populated side, we can not only transfer money, but also earn money at the same time! That is, to conduct profitable trade in both directions.

How to transfer goods with minimal risk?

To avoid tax losses, the transferred goods must be redeemed at meager prices - for example, 1 Copper. Quite reasonable price. “But how, how!- the cautious reader will exclaim. - What if someone sees this product and buys it for one copper ?!

The risk does exist. However, lately I have transferred goods worth a total of a couple of thousand gold, while losing only two Large Brilliant Shards. And even then the loss occurred due to my oversight. Our task is to minimize the risk, and I will now tell you how to do this.

Location selection

The best place to transfer goods-Auction at Booty Bay. The one next to the bank. Why exactly him? The answer is simple. It is this access point to the neutral auction that is visited most often. Everlook is usually empty. In Gadgetzan more people, but the auction is located in some basement and does not attract special attention. And in Booty Bay there are griffon masters, a bank, and the city itself is crowded. As a result, if there is no one near this point, then at the moment the neutral auction is viewed by the minimum number of people. If people (elves, gnomes, tauren) are standing next to the auction, just wait - do not make any exchange until they move away.

Timing

If you are playing on a European server, the best time to transfer the goods is at night. If for some reason you prefer to sleep at night, hand over the goods when possible - this is not so important.

Conspiracy

We remember that an assistant will be required for the transfer. If you exchange goods every day at the same time in the same place with dancing and dancing, and then duel next to the seller in Booty Bay, while one of you will always be the first level, then do not be surprised that after a while you may start to be hunted down.

It does not follow from this that you need to fall into paranoia, change characters all the time and transfer goods exclusively at the bottom of the sea. Just try not to advertise your trade relations, not to attract too much attention. Or, for example, this advice - when putting up goods for auction in Booty Bay, one of you can hide behind a box behind the auctioneer. Simple but useful.

Purchase and sale synchronization

And the most important thing. There should be no more than 3-4 seconds between placing a product for sale and buying it for 1 Copper. How is this achieved?

First, you must agree on the sequence of the sale. Example - Greater Eternal Essence is placed first, then Essence of Air and finally a pack of Dark Iron Scraps.

Secondly, after putting the goods up for auction, the seller must give a signal. The ideal option is to use Skype, TeamSpeak or Ventrilo. If this is not possible, signal with in-game emotes, such as /ready.

As soon as the /ready signal has sounded, you press the search button with the name of the product already entered and redeem it. Pauses of 5-10 seconds should be made between the display of batches of goods so that the buying party can again prepare for a quick find and purchase.

It is important: don't be put off by the fact that this type of trading requires an assistant. We all help each other - with things, quests, money and so on. Why not help someone in the organization of the trade chain or ask for such help? This is fine.
