Neo Culture Technology
NCT (Korean: 엔시티) is a South Korean boy band formed in 2016 by S.M. Entertainment. The name stands for "Neo Culture Techonology". Company founder Lee Soo-man explained this by saying that he wanted to show that a group can have an unlimited number of members, united in several sub-groups in various cities around the world.
NCT has debuted their first sub-unit NCT U.

All members of the group were members of the pre-debut group SMROOKIES formed by S.M. entertainment. Tae Young, Ten, Jae Hyun, and Mark were introduced in 2013, while Taeil and Do Yeon were introduced in 2015.
2016: Debut
On April 4, 2016, SM Entertainment released 2 teaser photos of Jae Hyun and Mark. SM Entertainment has announced that they will be debuting NCT's first unit, which will be called NCT U, which will debut with 2 digital singles and multiple releases on April 9 and April 10.
On April 6, SM Entertainment announced that NCT U's first subunit is made up of Taeyong, Ten, Jaehyun, Doyoung, and Mark, they will be releasing their first single "The 7th Sense" on April 9th, and NCT U's second subunit is made up of Taeil, Doyoung, and Jaehyun, they will release their second single "Without You" on April 10th.
On July 1, S.M. Entertainment announced the second sub-unit of NCT. NCT 127 is based in Seoul, with the number 127 representing Seoul's longitude.

NCT 2018 is a project with various variations. On January 31st, SM ROOKIES made an announcement through their official account on social networks. Through handwritten letters, SM ROOKIES members Kun, Lucas, and Chanwoo announced that they will finally be making their debut by joining the NCT 2018 project. All eighteen members of NCT will be featured in the project.
Release 6 expected music videos. Yearbooks have already been presented. After the release of the album in March, NCT plans the biggest promotion with various content and activities.
