Moscow Gostiny Dvor is one of the most beautiful architectural monuments capital - located 150 m from the Kremlin. The history of Gostiny Dvor begins in the 14th century. AT late XVIII century, by decree of Catherine the Great, in accordance with the project of the famous Italian architect Giacomo Quarenghi, Gostiny Dvor was rebuilt into a single building of strict and elegant architecture, which became a new decoration of Moscow.
Since the end of 1995, under the leadership of Moscow Mayor Yu.M. Luzhkov, the Moscow Government has carried out the reconstruction of Gostiny Dvor, as a result of which it has turned into a modern business, cultural and shopping center with all the necessary range of services, equipped according to international standards. Along with a thorough restoration of the external appearance of the building, a complete functional re-equipment of the interior with modern engineering equipment was carried out in accordance with the concept of "smart building", the introduction of climatology and air conditioning systems, and the creation of an opportunity for connecting electronic office equipment and control systems.
The uniqueness of Gostiny Dvor is due not only to the exclusivity of its location, but also to the originality of its artistic solutions. In the complex, a peculiar connection of times is manifested. Surrounded by stucco columns, arches of the classical style, the courtyard paved with granite, with an area of about 12,000 sq.m., appears to the eye. It is covered by Europe's largest light unsupported translucent coating (the roofed city square is comparable in size and shape to the Venice Piazza San Marco in Italy). In accordance with the functional purpose of the intra-yard space, the coating has systems for snow melting, climatology, collection and removal of condensate.
The uniqueness of Gostiny Dvor also lies in the fact that almost all creative ideas can be realized here. Cultural events are held in the inner courtyard of the Atrium, children's holidays and festivals are held, city and national holidays are organized, international exhibitions and salons, concerts, shows, fashion shows, etc. In particular, the Mayor's Annual New Year's Ball is held, concerts by Montserrat Caballe, Jose Carreras, Sissel, the exhibition "Orthodox Russia", etc. have been held.
Gostiny Dvor is one of the largest business, trade and recreation centers with all the necessary services, equipped according to international standards. The total area of the complex is about 82 thousand sq.m. Shops, restaurants, banks, cafes, bars, offices, beauty salons, etc. are located on the territory of the complex. Practically retaining the former appearance of the building, the usable area was increased, including by adding attic floors, which housed offices and representative offices of companies. It is planned to build a hotel that will close the ring of hotels around the Kremlin. The launch of this hotel will complete the creation of a comprehensive infrastructure for the provision of services in Gostiny Dvor. In practice, people will be able to live in a hotel, work at an exhibition, negotiate, make purchases, i.e. provide the entire life cycle without leaving the building.

The latest products were presented by companies from 10 countries: Russia, Poland, Italy, France, South Korea, North Korea, China, Japan, Belarus, Kazakhstan. Leading manufacturers and suppliers demonstrated the entire range of gifts, souvenirs, interior items, decor, dishes, business gifts, corporate gifts, games and toys, New Year and holiday products, Christmas trees and Christmas decorations, bijouterie and accessories, jewelry, watches, goods for organizing and holding celebrations.
At the exhibition project "PRESENT. SPRING 2019» 30,220 professional visitors from the Russian Federation, the Moscow region and foreign countries were registered, of which 6,200 were new visitors who visited the exhibition project for the first time. Among the professional visitors there are 6,780 representatives of trading wholesale and purchasing companies, 3,080 representatives of retail chains, 14,100 directors and purchasing managers of retail stores, 5,120 corporate clients and VIPs, 980 representatives of advertising agencies, 160 interior designers. According to the registration data, the spring exhibition project was visited by 20,990 specialists, 40% of whom were new. Among the visitors: 2217 - manufacturers, 3187 - distributors, 1509 - representatives of wholesale purchasing companies, 390 - representatives of retail chains, 3691 - corporate clients, 9492 - store directors, 190 - interior designers, 314 - representatives of advertising agencies. 181 specialists from foreign countries and 20809 Russian customers came to the exhibition.
