In German and Russian, there are a lot of proverbs and sayings about animals that are very similar in meaning and lexical meaning of words.

The features that a person ascribes to animals may be the same in different languages, or they may differ significantly. So, for example, the image of a wolf in a Russian proverb is replaced by the image of a hare in a German proverb, the image of a dog is replaced by the image of a bear.
