Fight and busts to the popular. Information Visitors who are in the Guests group cannot leave comments on this publication

Abstract: Picking is a very beautiful and simple method of playing the guitar. In contrast to the battle, where in order to extract sound from the guitar, we need to hit the strings, when playing the brute force, the strings are plucked (twitched)

Bust is another way to play the guitar. It differs from it in that instead of hitting the strings, they must be plucked (pulled).

The method is not complicated and requires only stuffed fingers of the right hand for strumming and, of course, fingers of the left hand for pinching chords. Let's see how enumeration is written and read.

Learning to read searches

Iterations can be written in several ways, let's look at them.

The first way to write enumeration: Most in a simple way notation is the notation of the numbers of the strings, which must be plucked while playing.

Example: 4-3-2-1-2-3 (often played in such a bust). Let's see how it plays:
First you pull the fourth string (bass), after the third, the next - the second and of course the first. After, we go up - we pull the second, and then the third. Try playing this pick on your guitar.

The second way to write enumeration: differs from the first one in that .

Example: Am(4-3-2-1-2-3), Dm(5-3-2-1-2-3).

Let's see how it plays. We put the Am chord and play a brute force on it (you already know how such a brute force is played from the first recording method), then we move on to the next chord (in our case, this is a Dm chord) and a slightly different brute force plays on it.

As we can see, there is nothing complicated about it.

Also, the entry can look like this: 4-3-2+1-2+1.
Let's see how such an enumeration is played. First we pluck the fourth string, after the third. Next comes the recording in the form of 2 + 1, that is, we need to pluck two strings at the same time - the second and the first, etc.

Got it? Great, now let's try to play with brute force.

Learning to play bust - the first steps

First of all, let's choose a bust on which we will learn to play. I would suggest you this look: 4-3-2-1, in my opinion, this is the easiest search, besides, the fingers get used to it very quickly.

We take a guitar and try to play (for starters, we play without chords). We pull the fourth string, after the third, the second and the first. We do this several times so that the fingers of the right hand get used to it a little.

After we combine the game with the chord. I suggest taking the Am chord. We hold the chord with the left hand and play the brute force with the right. The chord must be clamped very well (the sound should not be deaf).

It's a bit difficult to rearrange and play at the same time with the guitar, but after sitting for another hour with the guitar, your hands will get used to it, and you will play it without any problems!

Beginning guitarists usually ask themselves a question for: what beat to play a song with? The question is simple. On the site, on the page with each song is shown
recommended
,

which can be performed.
What if the picture is not shown?
Let's do it first song analysis by chords. How it's done.
We just play each chord of the song once, that is, we pass along the strings from top to bottom, from sixth to first, in the order they are written above the words. It turns out such a chain or, as the musicians say, chord progression . In the lightest, simplest songs, it has only 3-4 chords. Most songs have 6-8 chords.

This is the sequence of chords of the song that you need to learn first. Just without rhythmic pattern (guitar fight), arpeggio (brute force). We play each chord once. No need to rush, slowly. All sounds should sound even and beautiful. Until the fingers get comfortable and move accurately from chord to chord.

And then we move on to words. The next stage of analysis is still without a rhythmic pattern. We only pronounce or slowly sing the words of the song, playing the learned chain of chords. Each chord once, where it is written above the text on the stressed syllable or between words.

Here is a humming with the performance of chords one time, without a picture, and is called by musicians - song analysis .

And now happy news: some songs, especially melodious, lyrical, folk ones, are performed as an analysis. For example, known from childhood and.

The second good news is that in general any song can be played any guitar strumming or rhythmic pattern or arpeggio or strumming. Everyone who has mastered several drawings, you can try it with those who know, play any song. And then choose which one you like.

The main thing is to catch the rhythm, and for this you need to start the rhythmic pattern correctly. Count ONCE, the beginning of each drawing or enumeration, on the stressed syllable with a chord signed above it, as in the analysis of the song.

Many novice guitarists face the question - what to play with fingers or a pick? The question is reasonable, but not entirely correct. Basically, it all depends on the choice of instrument, for example, on the classical Spanish guitar played with fingers, or rather nails. Of course, you can play with a mediator, but as a result, it is almost impossible to get the proper sound from the instrument.

Features of the choice of equipment

The situation is a little better with acoustic and electric guitars. High-speed technical solos are much more convenient to play with a mediator, so it was the mediator technique that set the main paths for the technical development of these instruments. Unlike the classical guitar, which has a wider neck and greater spacing between the strings, playing with a pick made it possible to reduce the spacing between them and make the neck thinner.

What do I want?

Before choosing something specific, you need to ask yourself the question: what do I want? Even if in the future you intend to master all the basic styles of the game (which is quite possible and even desirable), you need to start somewhere. If you like classical music, Latin American or Spanish passion, melodic waltzes and romances, soft and pleasant sound, it is definitely worth starting with a classical guitar.

Do you want a resonant sound, do you like early British bands or country? Looking for an accompaniment instrument for your voice? Acoustics is perfect!

If you like most modern genres, fast solos, fat riffs, or Hendrix, Gilbert, Vai, Satriani, and a huge variety of different artists. Whether you like classic rock-n-roll or hard-working blues, electric guitar is your choice!

When choosing a guitar, consider the necessary accessories. For a classical guitar, this is a footrest, this is due to the playing technique, we will talk about it later.

An electric guitar requires an amplifier or an audio interface (in other words, an amplifier), you can read about how to choose them in and in the article about. You can also purchase additional effects pedals, a belt and other joys.

Acoustic guitar does not require additional accessories, except for the strap, which is also optional.

The principle of sound extraction: processing the body of the sound

The technique of playing with fingers and picks is fundamentally different in terms of playing, but they are similar in terms of the physical understanding of the process of sound extraction - minimizing friction and limiting the amplitude of string vibration.

If excessive friction occurs during playing, the playing process will slow down at best, it can also lead to a “dirty” sound and even errors during performance. A large amplitude of string vibration leads to the fact that the string begins to hit the frets, which negatively affects the sound and the duration of the sound (sustain).

How to play as a mediator: there are features!

Before talking about how to play with a mediator, you need to understand why it is needed and, of course, master the technique of owning it.

The mediator, he is also a plectrum (if you hear the name "plectr guitar", do not rush to wave your arms and poke your fingers, it's just alternative name electric guitar, although not popular) is used to facilitate the interaction between the musician and the instrument and to increase the speed of playing. If, for example, you can play a fight without a pick, which is also not very convenient, then only brilliant guitarists can play high-speed passages with your fingers, for example, not very famous, but very talented guitarist Dmitry Mamontov (whose work was introduced to me by his friend and part-time my first guitar teacher.

Mediator playing technique

If we talk about technique, then many novice musicians, unfortunately, do not pay due attention to this. Agree, when you see an instrument, and especially a guitar, you just want to pick it up right away and start playing, it would seem, what is difficult? Put two fingers here or there and beat the strings to your heart's content! In fact, everything is not so simple.
When playing with a mediator, you should immediately learn how to properly hold it in your hands. How to do it? There are a lot of videos on this topic, for example, this one.

To all this, I would like to add that the most important thing is that you feel comfortable holding it in your hand. Of course, there are some restrictions on this, but in the end, you still should not experience inconvenience.

Immediately, I note the fact that at first your hands will get tired very quickly, literally in a matter of minutes. It's quite natural, every musician has gone through it. Here it is rather a matter of psychological “clamp”, which can only be removed by practical lesson tool. In fact, even on acoustic guitar, if it is properly tuned, clamping the strings, and even more so hitting them, does not require much effort. Please note that if you experience any pain anywhere in your arm, the session should be stopped immediately, otherwise sprains and other injuries may occur. Remember: everything is good in moderation.

Fighting game is the easiest

Striking involves striking the strings up or down, with or without muting some strings, depending on the chord, or with the strings muted. right hand(if you play a right-handed guitar), and, accordingly, a cyclical combination of several hits.

This, in my opinion, is the simplest trick of the game, which can be mastered in just a matter of minutes. Take a plectrum in your hands and run it over the strings from top to bottom or bottom to top so that it only slightly touches them. Gradually accelerate this movement until the pick slides quickly over the strings without any hesitation. Congratulations, you've mastered the fight.

Important: do not forget that when playing in combat, rhythm is also important. Rhythm is the main component of music, without which its existence is impossible. You can practice with metronomes, which can even be found on the Internet, or play the song along with the original included in parallel.

The development of mediating technique - learn all your life!

The next step in playing with a mediator is playing on separate strings. Here the playing technique becomes more complicated, now you need to pay attention to the setting of the right hand, the angle of the pick on the string and the correct movement of the hand and arm as a whole. To get started, I suggest you familiarize yourself with the following video tutorial, which covers almost all the nuances of extracting sound with a mediator.

Here are the basic exercises for the development of technology.

The main nuances are as follows - the hand should be relaxed, movements should be made only with the hand (which some guitarists try to dispute, but arguing with physiology is a thankless task), the plectrum should not hit the string with the flat part to reduce friction.

Here I want to mention all kinds of simulators, massagers and other accessories that many novice guitarists, for some reason, want to buy. Of course, there are benefits from them, but, in any case, the best guitar trainer is the guitar itself. Therefore, before spending the n-th amount on the purchase of a simulator, think about what is better - to spend time mindlessly clamping / squeezing / twisting Chinese plastic or rubber, or spending it at the tool.
For further development technique, I recommend the following schools of play:

John Petrucci's school of play:

Frank Gambale's school of play:

Brute technique: classic

Picking (fingering) is most common among classical guitarists, folk and country players. Also, finger playing can often be found among modern rock performers, for example, the introduction songs Metallica's unforgiven Kirk Hammett plays with his fingers.

This style of playing has its advantages and disadvantages, some of which I mentioned earlier, such as the impossibility of developing a huge note picking speed to play high-speed passages, with very rare exceptions. The advantages include such features as the ability to play on selective strings (for example, you can hook 1, 3, 5 and 6 strings at the same time, which in the mediator technique of playing can only be done alternately, albeit very quickly) and games without intermediaries, which, definitely enhances your “feel” for the instrument.
As in the case of picking technique, first you need to “set” the playing technique.

Before I start explaining the technical aspects of hand positioning, let me remind you about the devices for playing: it is highly desirable to purchase a special footrest, it costs about 500 rubles in almost any music store. It must be strong and necessarily metal. It makes no sense to overpay for a brand, just tactilely check it for backlash and stability.

Why is she needed? First of all, this is a feature of the game of this instrument and it was created solely for the convenience of landing. The correct landing is achieved in the following way - sit on the edge of the chair, but stable enough, do not fall apart on it. And position the guitar as shown in the following image:

Important: do not lean on the guitar with your weight and do not put the entire weight of your right hand on it. The rule is the same as with the mediator: the main thing is that you feel comfortable.
The setting of the right hand is very clearly shown in the following videos:

Nails or claws?

Why do we need nails, which I mentioned at the very beginning? It is the nail that allows the guitar to sound loudly, for a long time and without clanging. You should immediately get a manicure file, this is a very important attribute of a classical guitarist. Nails should have slightly rounded corners and a straight flat at the end of the nail (approximately shaped like a bracket ")", as shown).

In the old guitar school, nail technique said that the plane of the nail should be parallel to the plane of the string and the guitarist should hook the string - pull it from the bottom up. Now the advantage is obvious. new school, which says that the nail should fall on the string at an angle at about 30 degrees and lightly jam it with the pulp of your finger. In this way, the most pleasing sound to the ear is achieved. More details are in the video under the second link.

If you don't want to grow out your nails, you can buy so-called "claws" - special devices that are worn on the fingers and perform the function of nails, but I would still recommend growing your own, since playing with your nails has a positive effect on the sound.

For general development I advise you to purchase or download the book “Guitar Tutorial” by A.M. Ivanov-Kramskoy. It describes in great detail the technique of the game, the main techniques and, most importantly, the most magnificent works for self-study are given.

Other playing techniques

In addition to the main ones, there are also alternative playing techniques. The most common of them
is a technique that any self-respecting bass player should know, namely slapping. It is also used for electrical and even classical guitars, but much less often. Its essence lies in the fact that the strike on the string occurs from top to bottom towards the guitar deck, forcing the string to beat against the frets and make a very characteristic strumming sound. It is also common to play with a slide - a glass or metal tube worn on a finger.
guitarist's left hand.

The essence of the technique is that the strings do not touch the frets, and their function is performed by the same
a tube that the guitarist runs over them. I note that to use this technique you need a well-developed ear.

There are other alternative playing techniques, information about which you can find on the Internet.

Abstract article

At the end of this article, I will summarize all of the above and give general recommendations for playing the guitar:

  • If you experience any pain in any muscle, stop exercising immediately to avoid injury.
  • The best way to develop technique is to practice directly on the instrument.
  • Play along with a metronome and tune your guitar every time you practice, develop a sense of rhythm and ear
  • Look for information wherever possible, remember the golden words: hard in learning - easy in battle.
  • If you have the opportunity, take a few lessons from the teacher and ask him all the accumulated questions

It will be useful for beginners to familiarize themselves with this material for a general understanding.

For myself, I have long decided that independent song analysis- this is the fastest and at the same time the most difficult way to develop musical ear. Therefore, I try to start from my opinion and personal perception of music more often. Of course, you can’t do without mistakes, but it’s worth it.

Based on personal experience - stuffed bumps, fresh scars left from communication with other guitarists, I brought out the following 4 points that will help clarify this interesting and useful lesson.

How to parse a song for a guitar yourself?

1. Checking the correct tuning of the guitar.

Many will say that this is banal, but it often happens that the simplest and most primitive things imperceptibly fade into the background. Moreover, the quality of analysis directly depends on the correct tuning of the guitar.

2. Playing under the sounding necessary composition.

Perhaps this is the most interesting and capacious point. And of course, everything here is based on the quality of the musical ear. The result here depends only on how often the guitarist analyzes songs, and somewhere on the stubbornness of his character. One follows from the other. Some vicious circle. It turns out that you need to silently take and do!

As a rule, all musicians tune their instruments to a tuning fork - notes mi ( E) on the piano ( I don’t remember which octave), in fact, for this you need to tune your guitar correctly ().

When it sounds in unison with the composition played through the speakers, it is much easier to pick up chords, as well as find a more accurate way to play the strings.

a) We find the key of the song by going through the first line of the song. Having found it, you can quickly build the entire chord chain of the composition, because. any key consists of certain chords. Anyone who has already sorted out a couple of dozen songs, he probably noticed this without the tedious theory.

It is also easier to hear the existing transition () from one key to another.
For example, through the analysis of the composition, you can learn to hear it in other songs.

b) Determine the tempo and rhythm of the composition. Rhythm is needed to pick up a guitar pick or fight. Tempo - for the required speed of the game.

We find the strong beats of the song by beating an invisible drum, thereby determining the boundaries of the rhythm. And learn to find accents. On strong beats, they are in any case, but there are also on weak ones. The well-audible bass parts of the guitar and the rhythm of the drums (if any) help perfectly in this.

As mentioned above, you first need to define . To do this, you need to understand under what oral account the composition sounds, which should be between strong beats. But as it shows personal experience, everything is comprehended in practice! Of course, I explain everything "on the fingers" - without an in-depth one, in which you need to know and take into account the sizes (bars) and the duration of the beats ... For a better perception, I added examples of songs.

To begin with, let's take such a uniform account: once- two- and repeat ... (to put it even simpler: t mind- ba-tum-ba...)

The guitar is played either by plucking the strings: bass- (3 + 2 + 1) - repeat ... For example:

You can also fight: down-down- ... (first hit on the upper strings - big m finger, the second on the bottom - index). For example:

similar account: one (in accent) - two - three (in accent) - repeat ... In a way, the same 3 knocks, but the emphasis on the third gives us the rhythm of the horse race ( you-ga-dyn--you-ga-dyn...).

The next fight is coming up: down (in accent) - up (quickly) - down (in accent) - repeat...

Song examples:

Check: one (in accent) -two -three -four - repeat...(Precise rhythm. knocking under each movement of the battle: pam--pa-pam--pa-pa-pam - repeat...)

This is where the fight is best. popular name"six"

down (in accent) - turn off - up - up-mute-up-... ().

Or busting "eight": bass-3- 2-3- 1-3 -2-3- . .. (for 1 knock of the count - 2 sounds of enumeration are played):

There is also this one: bass- 3- (2 + 1) -3- ... Suitable composition:

Under it there is 1 more common battle - "four":

up (in accent) - up - mute - up --... Song examples:

For example, these songs:

Tend to this rhythm: pam--pa-ram--pa-ram-pam--pa-ra-ru-ra- repeat... It needs to be played more difficult fight:

down--up-down--down-up-up--down-up-down-up-...

Similar rhythm in the song:

Only some combat moves have a different direction:

way down- down-down-up-up-down-down-up-down-up- repeat...

can meet a rhythm even more difficult:

pam--pa-ram-pam--pa-ram-pam--pa-ra-ru-ra-ru-

down--up-down-up--down-up-up--down-down-up-down-up-...

It happens that the composition is played at a fairly fast pace and it may seem that it sounds like a count: once- two- , and for some reason, the number of movements of the battle is heard more than I wanted ... In fact, it goes to a fast rhythm: pam--pa-pam--pa-pa-pam- ... and is played to the beat - "six" without jamming at a fast pace ... Examples of such songs.

In this article, we will analyze what a guitar fight is, how to play it correctly, what types of fights are, and much, much more.

I'll go into more detail about:

Fight six

Fight six is the most popular fight on the guitar. It consists of six movements and it sounds something like this:

Specifically, this recording is part of a song from the song "Pass", which is just being played by this fight.

Fight four: scheme how to play

The fight four is also referred to as the Tsoevsky fight, because it is used in some of his songs.

how does it sound

In the recording, I play the Kino song "Pack of Cigarettes" in a four-man fight.

The battle plan looks like this:

Down - Up - Down with plug - Up

  1. swipe down with your thumb
  2. large or index finger up;
  3. index finger down (nail);
  4. thumb or index finger up.

Tsoevsky fight: schemes, types of fight

The Tsoevsky fight is actually not at all one, there are at least 3 of them, one of them is the four-fight fight that you see above. But there are other types, and they sound like this:

first fight of six moves

There are 6 basic movements and there should be a lot of speed.

B - thumb, Y - index

At the very beginning, we play from the end: down B - down B - up B - down Y

Then we play all the time: down B - up B - down B >>>>> down B - up B - down Y

Tsoi's other fight consists of 7 movements:

down B - up B - plug - up B - down B - up B - plug

Thieves fight: scheme how to play

To be honest, I learned about the thug fight on the guitar quite recently, when I started preparing this article :) The essence of this fight is that bass strings change when playing. That is, first we pull one string, then we draw along all the strings, and then we pull the other string - and again we draw along all the strings.

sounds like this

Pull the B string > down with your index finger > pull the other string (not the bass) > down with your index finger.

thug fight scheme

Bass string - Mute - Bass string - Mute

You can pull the bass string both times so as not to get confused.

Fight eight: scheme how to play

Fight eight consists of eight movements and sounds something like this:

Specifically, this piece is cut from Bast's song "Samsara", in this song the eight fight is used.

Figure eight fight scheme

Down - Down with plug - Up - Up - 3 times in a row Down with plug - Up

3 Fights EVERY Video Guitarist Should Know

What is a guitar fight

I promised I wouldn't use obscure words, so...

What is a fight? The fight is a cycle of repetitive movements of the right hand near the sound hole (read: the structure of the guitar). In short, roughly speaking, this is what you do with your right hand on the strings, and more precisely, these are actions when you hit several strings at once.

Fighting should not be confused with guitar picking. Busting is also a cycle of repetitive movements with the right hand, but here we mean fingers. That is, repetitive finger movements. Each string has its own finger. And in combat we use the whole palm, and even squeeze the palm into a fist and other movements.

How to play guitar fight

How to play guitar fight? The question is controversial and does not have a clear answer. There are many types of guitar fights - and they are all played differently. There are no such single movements for all fights, each of them is unique.

There is only a small list of string movements that usually make up a fight:

  • dragging the thumb down the strings;
  • dragging the thumb up the strings;
  • plug;
  • open strike on the strings (similar to a plug, only without muffling).
