The world is divided between those who classify Pixies as an alternative and those who classify them as indie. Given that the line between these genres is very, very thin, we felt that the Pixies well deserved a place on this list, especially since they made a huge contribution to the development of the genre, generating a bunch of followers behind them, for whom they do not want to say thank you. They worked in those distant times when indie rock was the music of outcasts, and not the anthem of aggressively progressive youth.
