Elephunk 2003 was major achievement for The Black Eyed Peas, helping them jump to a level of success not possible for any other hip hop group. Their achievements: 7.5 million albums sold worldwide, 4 Grammy nominations, 1 Grammy Award and an unforgettable radio show in 2005.

It's a celebration. It all generates energy that helps us think about our show - from the beats to the types of instruments we use, how we interact with the audience. It's about us and the crowd in this album."
The Monkey Business album was literally produced and recorded on the band's constant road trip. "I was in Brazil shopping for CDs," will.i.am recalls. "I came across this CD and I thought it was one thing, but it turned out to be something else. The Dick Dale song "Miserlou," was on it. At first I was angry - that's not what I wanted to buy," he laughs. "But then the song was a hit."
The song, a dance party anthem, is one of the featured tracks on the album - and has become a sales slogan for buying electronics at the best price. "This song is the beauty of technology. You can record anywhere, anytime. And I love this song because the song has our shows and a lot of energy"
Singer Justin Timberlake joins the band for the song My Style. "We got along well," says will.i.am, "he sees the music in the same direction. And he's a very nice guy." The song was produced by the famous Timbaland. "I love experiencing things that I have never experienced before," says will.i.am. “It brings you something out of your comfort zone and it can be creatively inspiring.”
Other members join the band on this album, such as Sting on Union. Neo-folk singer Jack Johnson takes on Gone Going. The group achieves their dreams when they connect with godfather souls - with James Brown for the song They Don't Want Music.
This song can be passed down from generation to generation and is one of the reasons why the band is loved and respected all over the world. "I think the fact that we only have fun with music is the way that works for us," says will.i.am. "We love music and melodies and don't distinguish us from ordinary music lovers. The story begins in 1988, when eighth graders William Adams (will.i.am) and Allen Pineda (apl.de.ap) met. Realizing that they have common ideas and preferences in music, the guys decided to join forces to create their own group. They soon began rapping in various Los Angeles nightclubs, calling their duet Atban Klann (A Tribe Beyond a Nation). The duo quickly gained popularity among the local rap and break dance scene.
1992-1997
The Atban Klann were signed to Ruthless Records (owned by Eazy-E), but their album was not released because their positive and soothing lyrics were too unusual for Ruthless. Tracks from the unreleased album (Grass Roots) are kept by the organizer of BEP Family and famous DJ Dj Motiv8.
But after the unexpected collapse and death of Eazy-E in 1995, third member Jaime Luis Gomez (Taboo) joins the Atban Klann. They changed the band's name first to Black Eyed Pods and then to Black Eyed Peas (the name of a variety of cowpeas popular in the southern states).
1998-2000
After being signed to Interscope Records and released in 1998 debut album Behind the Front the band received critical acclaim. The single from this album "Joints & Jam" became the soundtrack to the film Bullward (1998). In 2000, their second album, Bridging the Gap, was released. His single "Request + Line" was performed with Macy Gray.
Both albums were not sold in large quantities due to illegal pirated copying.
2001-2004
On November 2, 2001, the band began work on their third album. In 2002, Stacey Ferguson (Fergie) joined the Black Eyed Peas, after which "The" was added to the name. From this moment on, The BEP begin their ascent to the heights of glory.

In June 2005, the fourth album Monkey Business was released with the singles "Don't Phunk with My Heart", "Don't Lie", "My Humps", "Pump It".
And in March 2006, before the tour in support of Monkey Business, the fifth remix album, Renegotiations: The Remixes, was released. It included songs from Monkey Business. Two songs from the album remained as the album version. The Black Eyed Peas have specially invited famous rappers to make high-quality remixes.
At the end of 2006, there were rumors about the breakup of the group, due to the solo projects of all members (Fergie - The Dutchess, will.i.am - Songs About Girls, Taboo - Tabmagnetic, apl.de.ap - You Can Dream, Bucky Jonson ( subgroup BEP) & Airpushers (Printz & Tim) also released albums).
However, in an interview with American MTV, will.i.am said that the Black Eyed Peas were not going to break up, and that new album The E.N.D (Energy Never Dies) will be released towards the end of 2008. However, later it became known that the album will be released in June 2009. Will.i.am also said that he can't wait for all the members to finally get together.
2009-now
Fifth studio album bands The E.N.D. released June 3, 2009 in Japan and June 9 worldwide. The first two official singles "Boom Boom Pow" and "I Gotta Feeling" stayed at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for a total of six months (12 and 14 weeks respectively), which was a record.
"Meet Me Halfway", the third single released on September 22, topped the charts in the UK and Australia. "Imma Be" is the fourth single released only in America on December 15, 2009. "Rock That Body" is the fourth single from the album for Europe, Latin America and Australia. The single was released on January 15, 2010.
In 2010, at the 52nd Grammy Awards, the Black Eyed Peas won three awards: Best Pop Album, Best Pop Vocal, Best video. At the ceremony, they performed the songs "Imma Be" and "I Gotta Feeling".
On November 30, 2010, the new album The Beginning was released. The new album uses new sounds, new technologies. The first single was the song "The Time (Dirty Bit)", which rose to the top of many charts, but did not last long.
