Denis, you came to Perm with a dance master class and held it at the Lyubimov GallaDance. How did everything go?
Very homey. I like it when the challenge goes that way. not as big open competition but as a friendly intra-club event. Everyone supports each other, energizes. The day just flew by! Everything is very native to you in Perm. I think the GallaDance club in Tyumen is the closest in atmosphere to yours. Cozy design, everything is compact, everything is nearby.
What about the clubs in Yekaterinburg and St. Petersburg?
Yekaterinburg has its own flavor, but St. Petersburg is a completely different story. It is absolutely a space city for me. Everything is different there in GallaDance. People perceive information differently, dance lessons, treat performances differently. Everyone is so leisurely and maybe because there is a park opposite the club. This is where the mood of relaxation comes from.
And now you live in these three cities?
My home and main office is in Yekaterinburg, but I am always on Skype with GallaDance clubs in other cities. Now I spend most of my time in Moscow. There is my new professional dance partner and a few interesting projects. If we talk about the time when I was busy on Dancing with the Stars, then at least 2-3 days a month I tried to spend in each of the GallaDance, which I co-own.
How did you get on the project?
The idea to participate was born a couple of years ago, but at first I didn’t have enough time, then there was no filming of the new season. The concept, the company, the producer changed. In the end, everything turned out very well. I called the organizers, they asked me: "Have you had any experience in similar projects?" I replied, "No, never." Then they asked to send photos, videos of dancing, agreed to meet. After the interview, I was immediately included in the composition. For a long time we were not called the names of the partners, until the last they kept the intrigue. I am very glad that Ksenia Alferova danced with me. I felt we would definitely get to the final. I think that the dance couples energetically matched exactly the way they should. Now I have already received an invitation to shoot the new season and while in thought. Let's see how things turn out.

Which dance with Ksenia was the most emotional for you?
I will never forget the feeling of the number "If there was no war." I had never danced to military music before, and most of the project also had doubts at first about this idea - to dedicate the final program to military dances. But with what pleasure then everyone did these numbers! We went crazy, we were in the gym all day, I canceled all other things. At the dress rehearsal, Ksenia and I repeated the dance 5 times, and each time it was trembling, tears, because such music, such costumes! Emotions were running high! One of my favorite numbers.

What do you like besides dancing? Are you planning to do something new?
I used to play a lot of football. Until he broke his arm and was eliminated from his main annual competition. I love snowboarding, but so far I don't have time for it. I plan to try myself as an actor. Interested in personal development literature. Reading, I think how I would play this or that character.
About the personal I will not say, no. It's written down and it's bound to come. And dance - please. I want to get to the semi-finals of the top 10 major tournaments, Blackpool and International in England.
