Jamal's year of birth. Jamala's husband: Crimean Tatar activist and "inspirer" of the singer

The mother of the winner of Eurovision 2016, Susanna Jamaladinova, who performs under the pseudonym Jamal, said that she had no doubts about her daughter's victory in the international song contest.

Galina Tumasova, like the rest of the singer’s relatives, whom the Ukrainian media are trying to position as an “icon of the fight against the invaders”, after the return of Crimea to the Russian Federation, received Russian citizenship and all the necessary benefits.

According to the mother of the singer, she "did not doubt a single gram" that Jamala would take first place.

“Even yesterday, when the votes were being counted and preliminary forecasts were made - either she had the second or third place, her husband could not stand it, jumped out: everything, he says, that’s all, it won’t work out ... Even then I had no doubt that she would win ", - she told the Crimean edition "Your newspaper".

Tumasova also said that her daughter consulted with her parents about the song with which she represented Ukraine at Eurovision. However, Jamala herself practically does not appear in the Crimea, as she is “always busy with some projects.”

However, according to her, "in the days of preparation for Eurovision" they were nearby.

Susanna Alimovna Jamaladinova was born on August 27, 1983 in Kyrgyzstan, in the city of Osh. Jamala's father's family ended up in Osh after the Tatars were deported from Crimea. Jamala's mother is half Armenian, whose ancestors are from Nagorno-Karabakh.

By religion, Galina Tumasova is a Christian, in her family there were also Russians, Ukrainians and Poles. However, Jamala herself, like her father, are Muslims.

In Osh, Jamala's father worked as a choir leader, and her mother was a pianist.

The childhood of the future star was spent in the Crimea, in the village of Malorechenskoye near Alushta, where she and her family returned in 1989 from the places of the former deportation of the Crimean Tatar people. At the same time, in order to move, the parents of the future Eurovision winner had to get a divorce, since according to the laws, the Crimean deportees could not buy real estate on the territory of the peninsula.

Now Galina Tumasova, like other relatives of the singer, lives in the Crimea and has Russian citizenship. After the 2014 referendum, Jamala's parents flatly refused to move to Kyiv, not wanting to leave the house they built with their own hands and the orchard they planted.

After Jamala's parents received Russian citizenship, they were given fifty percent benefits on utility bills: water, gas, and electricity. In addition, relatives of the Ukrainian singer receive free holidays.

However, Jamala's family lost their diner on the coast due to its non-compliance with sanitary standards and non-payment of taxes.

As the Crimean singer stated, it was the income from the restaurant business of her parents that allowed her and her sister to receive a higher musical education at the conservatory. Moreover, both girls worked with their parents in a diner.

Jamala started singing at the age of three, and at nine she recorded her first album. The Armenian environment had a great influence on Jamala in her childhood. In an interview, the singer said that because of the different social circles, she was always more considered an Armenian, and her older sister was a Tatar.

The elder sister of the singer Evelina now lives in Turkey with her husband, a citizen of this country, and children.

Jamala left her parental home at the age of 14, going to study in Simferopol, then to Kyiv. She took part in dozens of vocal competitions in Ukraine, Russia and Europe and received a number of prestigious awards.

In 2009, at the international competition for young pop singers "New Wave" in Jurmala, she received the Grand Prix, sharing first place with an Indonesian performer and earning a standing ovation from jury member Alla Pugacheva, who gave a standing ovation to a Ukrainian woman.

After Jamala's performance at Eurovision 2016, Tatars living next door to her parents ask them about the reasons that prompted their daughter to perform this song.

In addition, the government of the Republic of Crimea recommended that the singer change her citizenship from Ukrainian to Russian and return to her historical homeland.

Georgy Muradov, Deputy Prime Minister of the government of the republic, told TASS that he considers Crimea to be Jamala's homeland.

“I emphasize that Crimea will always be happy with Jamala’s performance, this is her homeland,” he said, suggesting that she “hold small events related to the change of citizenship, come to her homeland and perform at home.”

“We are always glad to see her, we congratulate her and think that among the Russian votes she received, there are many people from among the Crimean Tatars who live in Crimea,” Muradov added.

Galina Mikhailovna Tumasova, the mother of the recent Eurovision winner, Ukrainian (!) singer Jamala, explained why they are not going to leave Crimea, groaning under a forged Russian boot.

It's simple - the singer's parents received Russian passports, built a house on a dedicated plot, moreover, with great pleasure they issued the so-called * Putin's certificates *, which give 50% discounts on electricity, water, gas, utility bills and, even, on a free resort - sanatorium service!

Ukrainian singer Jamala is from Kyrgyzstan, from the city of Osh. In a strange way, her parents, whom the singer presents as victims of repression, received higher education in the totalitarian USSR. Dad is a conductor, mom is a music school teacher. The singer's brother, who naturally lives in Moscow (well, where else would the oppressed Crimean Tatars live!) claims that they are relatives of the composer Aram Khachaturian.

Although no matter what the *Ukrainian* daughter of the Crimean Tatar Alim Ayarovich Dzhamaladinov sings, no one throws grenades and Molotov cocktails into the yard of her parents. Normal people live here. This is not Maidan Ukraine, the Crimeans do not suffer from “embroidery of the brain”.

With dad at a concert in Simferopol.

A few months ago, the Bandera blockade hit the singer's family hard. So, according to Jamala herself, her father was ready to independently heat the house with firewood, just not to leave his native Crimea. But now, having remained in the "Muscovite occupation", Jamaladinov Sr. is spared from such a prospect.

Now the singer's parents are engaged in home gardening, selling the fruits of their labor in Alushta and Simferopol.

They send part of the products to their beloved daughter in Kyiv. But here's the problem! Jamala told about her with tears:

My dad sends fruit from our garden to me in Kyiv every autumn and winter. Persimmon, figs, pomegranates. Now, on the so-called border with Crimea, he has to pay a bribe to let these fruits pass - he leaves a box of persimmons or figs for the border guards. He always tells me about it with tears in his eyes, because he collected these boxes for me with such love! I answer him: “Baba, this is such a trifle! The main thing is that they were allowed to transport at least that way. ” We rejoice in trifles that should be the norm for everyone.

Here is just one small nuance that the singer did not reveal: the Ukrainian border guards are robbing the old Tatar man. One box for yourself - and a whole container ahead, to Kyiv, spitting on the "Poroshenko-Islamist" blockade. Well, such a small, small nuance!

Smiling Ukrainian singer at the Russian festival *New Wave*

For the third day, the controversy around the Eurovision 2016 final has not subsided. Jamala's victory with the song "1944" caused heated debate on the Internet. Part of the audience believes that the victory of the Ukrainian singer is well-deserved. The other part is sure that Jamala has become a political tool in the hands of the Eurovision organizers. In any case, the winner of the competition has become one of the most popular people in the media space in recent days.

Jamala's family: why the singer's parents divorced

Jamala is the stage name of the Ukrainian singer, taken as a derivative of her last name: Jamaladinova. In fact, the 32-year-old performer's name is Susanna.

Despite the fact that Jamala considers Crimea her homeland, the future star was born in the Kyrgyz city of Osh, where her great-grandmother was sent during the deportation of the Tatars from Crimea.

Susanna's family is multinational - her mother is an Armenian from Nagorno-Karabakh, and her father is a Crimean Tatar. The singer's older sister is married to a Turkish citizen, where she currently lives with her children.

When the future star was 6 years old, her parents decided to move to the Crimea. At that time, the Tatars, whose families were evicted from the peninsula, could not buy real estate there. To buy a house in the Crimea, Jamala's parents divorced, and Susanna's mother bought the house.

As the singer later recalled, they became the first returning Tatars who bought a house on the South Coast:

We were the first Crimean Tatars who bought a house in Malorechensky. When the Tatars began to return, they were given plots in the most disadvantageous places, in the mountains. I remember exactly the day we came to our future yard. The owner of the house, who had already signed the documents, suddenly realized that she had sold the farm to the Crimean Tatars. How she screamed then!

Jamala's personal life: she has never been married and still has not met her love

The singer does not advertise her personal life, on her Instagram page you can find mostly the latest news about the star's work. It is known that Jamala has neither a husband, nor children, nor a loved one. So far, the heart of the 32-year-old Eurovision winner is free.

I was brought up by the arranger of Zarema-khanum - Gennady Astsaturyan. He taught me jazz since childhood. Literally forced to listen to jazz. It started with the fact that Fitzgerald played one song for me, and I got tired of it. This is fine. I was 11 years old. Difficult music, you have to get to it. Then the second, third and further, I myself began to ask him. Then he gave me the Fitzgerald cassette and said: “For a week everything is in the same version.” I answered: “How? I don't know English." Answer: "As you wish, as gibberish." I took everything off by ear, approached it responsibly, came to him to sing, and he: “Have you studied it? Well done. Here's another tape for you." He didn't even listen. It's just psychology, he knew he'd do it. I remember how offended: “How is it? I taught, but he does not want to listen to me"
