Gamora is the most underrated Russian rap? Biography of the Gamora group - Where is Seryozha local.

The Gamora group was created in Togliatti in 2011. Initially, the rap team was called "Kurs", but when the guys were noticed and accepted by the public, the guys decided to take a more sonorous and appropriate name - "Gamora". We are talking about Sodom and Gomorrah - the biblical cities. Gomorrah is a city of vice and sin, which was destroyed for the sins of the inhabitants.

Composition

The initial line-up included six guys - Serezha Lin, Pavlik Farmaceft, Alex Manifesto, Atsel Rj and DOODA. The main ideological inspirers and frontmen of the group were Local and Lin.

The first composition of the group "Gamora"

Seryozha Local - Sergei Fedorovich. He began writing his first lyrics at the age of 13. Soon he managed to find like-minded people who shared his interests in rap with him.

Serezha Lin - Sergei Makovsky. Even as a child, he became interested in music, at the age of 14 he began to record the first tracks, in 2008 he created the Kurs group, participated in the show STS Lights a Star, where he was singled out among the rest.

In July 2012, Gamora disbanded and Local and Lin went on to solo projects. And although the guys at that moment did not comment on the reason for the dissolution of the team, they began to say on the Web that this happened because of money. But, in principle, the financial issue often becomes the root cause of misunderstanding.

The new composition of the group "Gamora"

But in June 2016, the guys announced their reunion. Now the group includes four people - Local and Lin, as well as Pavlik Farmaceft and Alex Manifesto. They said that they plan to resume concert activities, start recording a new album and shoot videos. This news was accepted by the fans of the team with joy, but some did not believe in success. But, fortunately, they were mistaken: the guys, in confirmation of their serious intentions, released the song “Second Wind” and shot a video for it.

Music

The path to popularity was thorny. At first, the guys performed where necessary. Sometimes they were courtyard venues, sometimes they were small regional rap festivals. In addition, the parents did not particularly approve of this activity.

But the guys make quality music: a sonorous beat, "boy" lyrics and the philosophy of the streets. Therefore, soon the band has a lot of fans who appreciated the deep meaning of their tracks.

To record their first album "Times", the guys had to collect all their finances and strength, but the result was worthy. The album includes 9 tracks and 4 bonus tracks. Narkoz, Ksana, Baskil and Nikita Rusakov participated in the recording of the disc.

In 2012, another Gamora album was released - EP No. 2. It had 20 tracks, including a collaboration with.

This album was truly successful and it was he who brought fame to the guys. But he also brought divisions to the group. Soon, the team members decided to go their own way. The group broke up. After they said that everyone just wanted to assert themselves and realize themselves, it was time for solo projects. Everyone at that moment was in search of himself, but no one gave up music.

In 2013, Serezha Local is noticed by a member of the popular rap group CENTR. He invites him to Moscow and offers cooperation. Since that moment, Local has been working with TsAO Records.

From 2013 to 2017, Serezha Local released four solo albums. In 2013, two records were released - "Alternately" and "Krugozor". In 2016, a mini-album called "Seryozha Local - Album 2016 live" was released. In April 2017, the album "36.6" was released, Ves (group ""), Artem Tatishevsky, Papa Paradox participated in the recording. The name itself spoke for itself: the guy is all right - the temperature is normal.

But Lin did not sit idle either. He also became one of the members of the CAO Records label. Immediately after the collapse of Gamora, he recorded the album Perso.knives, most of the songs were recorded with the participation of rapper Malik. Music critics described this work as "rap that will tell about the dark nooks and crannies of life's realities."

In 2016, the guys decided to become a single team again. The band decided to keep their old style, but in any case the tracks became more "adult". In addition to music, the guys are fond of sports: The local loves football, Alex Manifesto is engaged in hand-to-hand combat, in April 2016 he completed the candidate minimum.

Gamora now

In 2017, the Gamora group released a new album called Bearing Walls. It included 12 tracks. Also in 2017, three videos were shot: “Edie Alain”, “Notre musique” and “Sport town” with the participation of DJ 11 "th cut.

Songs performed in the style of rap cause conflicting feelings among music lovers. This is more popular among today's youth, who grew up on Decl's texts. Rap originated in the poor neighborhoods of America in the mid-70s and instantly won the love of teenagers. There are not so many representatives who read real Russian rap. One of them is Seryozha Local. His surname is sonorous, but not known to everyone. Let's talk about this guy in more detail.

Seryozha Local. Biography. Childhood

The real name of the rapper is Fedorovich. He was born on June 19, 1989 in the city of Kirov. Sergei's childhood fell on a time of perestroika and shortages. The guy's parents are far from music and pop art, they were always looking for a better life. The boy was about eight years old when the family moved to Tolyatti (Samara region). Behind were friends, familiar life and the first childhood love. I had to get used to the new city, he began to study worse and be rude to his parents.

The biography of Serezha Local as a musician began at the age of 14. The teenager was faced with youthful true love, and this resulted in the first lyrics. At first he just wrote poetry, but at some point he decided to read them in rap style. Among his classmates and friends in the yard, he found those who shared his interests in music and were ready to move mountains together.

"Hot" service

In 2006, the guy graduated from high school No. 14 in the city of Togliatti, but could not fully decide on the choice of profession. Dreams of popularity jumped in his head, and his mother demanded to grow up and think about the future. Many of his associates in rap art have long stepped into adulthood. While the guy was thinking what to do next, Sergey came and firmly decided to repay his debt to the Motherland and served a year and a half in the North Caucasian Military District, where the guy had to serve, then it was considered a "hot spot". This did not in the least embarrass private Fedorovich, since he never looked for easy ways.

After returning from the army, the biography of Serezha Local was full of new events. Until 2008, almost no one knew the guy. After serving and returning home, he nevertheless decided to connect himself with music. But everything turned out to be not so simple.

First steps in rap direction

It was quite easy to find like-minded people, young people were completely carried away by a new musical direction. Rap was listened to by everyone who was close to music that reflects reality. It was the dream of public fame that united six ordinary guys who lived in the same city.

After rehearsing a little together, the guys decided to create a group, which they called "Kurs". Seryozha Local, Alex Manifesto, Pavlik Farmaceft, Atsel Rj, Seryozha Lin and DOODA are the original line-up of the group. The name was promising, and at first everything worked out in their favor. The young men began to perform in the yards and at parties of friends, and then word of mouth played its role. The creativity of young guys was noticed, then there were people who were ready to help promote their songs.

Serge Local. "Gamora". Biography

In 2011, the guys decided to rename the group. A new sonorous name appeared - "Gamora". Young people tried hard to achieve fame, but the path to fame, as you know, is thorny. Having given away all their savings, they begin recording their first full disc. The album "Times" appeared in the same year. A year later, the presentation of "EP No. 2" took place, which made a splash in Gamora's career.

But it so happened that the biography of Serezha Local turned sharply to the side. In the summer of 2012, the Gamora group ceased to exist. Young people quarreled (according to rumors, because of money) and the team broke up.

career alone

After such events, Sergei did not become discouraged, but began to perform solo. At first it was unusual, but soon the guy realized that everything went even better. He recorded many tracks with Pavlik Farmaceft, Dj Benny and Ksana. At the beginning of 2013, the biography of Serezha Local again fundamentally changed. The thing is that he moved to Moscow, where he began to work together with CAO Records on recording solo albums.

Of his brighter songs, one can name "Chalk of Destiny", "Musi-Pusi", "Breath of the Streets", "Poison". They gained popularity thanks to realistic clips that stir the soul. Young people perceive Seryoga Local's tracks as an autobiographical story composed of rap texts.

moments of truth

Songs on the topic of drug addiction often pop up in the guy's albums. Some of them, such as "Antokha" or "Paranoia", are written as if the young man knows firsthand about the problems of drug addicts.

It has long been known that all the guys performing at Gamora dabbled in marijuana. Young people, like many of their generation, believed that it helps to fulfill themselves and achieve relaxation after an exhausting creative day. Some of them went further, while others had the strength to stop there. Fortunately, this dangerous occupation did not prevent Serezha Local from fulfilling his plans and self-realization.

I am surprised to note that for so many people and even rap lovers, the work of such a wonderful group as Gamora completely passed by. People simply do not know about them, there is a feeling that almost everyone missed them and did not catch them.

And by the way, according to many people, Gamora is the most underestimated Russian rap, it is the purest underground and a very high level.

Real rap Russian streets

Today on the Econ Dude blog we will talk about the work of these Volga rappers and think about why they didn’t shoot, where they disappeared and what is happening to them now.

When I say they didn't shoot, I mean this.

They took their place in culture and music, but they never reached a serious level and remained in the underground. The main reason, in my opinion, is this. In those days when they made videos and music, their tracks, this is about 2012, the Internet was not as developed as it is now. Since the group is regional, one might even say - provincial, they just did their own things, uploaded them to YouTube, that's all.

Moreover, when you look at Gamora, there are always misunderstandings in the sense that where are they all official?

Where is the Wiki article, where is the official YouTube channel and where is the public VK (here in fact)? Why is everything uploaded to the channel ELDAR MAHYANOV ?

Plus, YouTube is full of re-uploads, their videos are simply stolen, since they did not register the rights and property as expected.

Acceptable on request "RAP RUSO" (When Spanish speakers look for examples of Russian rap) gives Gamora's clip first:

This is completely unofficial, left and gray channel. Russians may not know that someone uploads such vids optimized for Spanish, but this clip has almost 20 million views! Not good for yourself, right?

"Unknown" Gamora, whom half of Spain listened to. One clip.

How did I find out about Gamora?

As befits a real underground, it is first very spread by word of mouth, word of mouth. An old friend told me about Gamora.

We meet once a year, drink, at that time we smoked a hookah and listened to Mouzon on his phone before going to a big booze.

And then he tells me that there are Samara guys who piss.

Brother, what else is Gamora? Come on, don't.

No, no, you listen, he replies. This is not supposedly not Misha Mavashi and not Tony Routh (although as it turned out later, these guys are the closest in spirit to them).

He turned it on like this, just music, without a video:

Back then, this style and flow was very new, it pumped a lot.

Now it is again lying on some incomprehensible channel ...

Gamor's official YouTube channel, where is he?

Here even I, when I write this article, I can tell you something.

I just have a personal author's blog, not the media, but I adhere to some basic rules of the media and quoting, these are just the rules of decency. Let's say with great probability I will not give a link to a video, article, website or channel if I am not 100% sure that this is an official and verified source.

Accordingly... From this example, you can already understand the reasons for the collapse and collapse of Gamora. The absence of one official channel and source, a group website, etc., greatly reduces the likelihood of citation, fewer people learn about the phenomenon, as a result, growth decreases and slows down. For example, just above, I mentioned Tony Raut and Misha Mavashi. I made Tony a link to his YouTube channel, since it is obvious and clear there that this is an official channel. And I made a link to Misha, since the channel that exists, there is no description at all and there is no information, I cannot give a link to it.

This is all just as an example of what can prevent a project from growing and what problems there are, a personal small example, but indicative. Not all artists and creative people know about it, they are not required to know about it. They are not specialists in SMM,,, sites, PR and other things. The task of the artist is to create and create. Selling and promoting it should be helped by other people.

In this case, the label.

By this logic, I can’t embed Gamora’s clips here with a 100% probability and give links to them, because I don’t understand, I give a link to the official source, this will not be deleted later, or I give a link to the left re-upload.

UPD: As I understand it, the guys corrected the situation, the left re-uploads were cut down, and Gamora's official channel is here: LEX TV. I corrected the links to the left videos, but I'm too lazy to rewrite the entire article due to a change in the situation :(

Let's get back to creativity. Clips and tracks

So this is the first track I listened to (Kuisnows), he made a strong impression in 2012. This, for a moment, even when there are no and was not in sight. The start of the versus is 2013. Gamora at that moment set absolutely the highest bar in terms of reading, style and flow. But the most curious thing about them was something else.

Their style did not feel stolen from the west, it was perceived as something of their own. All beats and minuses are written by them, the text, everything is unique, original and with soul.

If it is known that every second bit is stolen there, then it’s just like a tub of cold water. I heard something really new.

Another strong point of Gamora was that more than one person read there. The guys worked as a team and did everything together.

Many top clips are a bunch of people, everyone reads in turn.

So you hear different styles in one track.

Then I came home and found their other clip - weekdays:

Now, in 2018, it all looks strange. These haircuts, these clothes... Topics that come up. Kolkhoz and provinciality.

No offense, everyone was like that then, including the author of this article.

But it was precisely then, in those years, that was the voice of the streets and provinces.

That was her appearance, exactly like that.

But it is amazing that even considering that the guys were from the underground, quite decent money was found for this video. There was a camera and there was editing, and their work with sound is always at a high level, even in bad clips.

Now, of course, it is very strange to compare them with modern rap.

Music is different.

Gamora loses to almost any pop. LJ is pop, right?

It is clear that different styles, but the quality is incomparable.

Gamora pales in comparison, unfortunately. But why is she fading? Who is this Aldzhey, Feduk, Face? Why did they shoot like that?

There is talent, of course. (with Feduk and Aljay, not with Face), but the main reason is that they are very strongly twisted and supported by big right uncles. There is a completely different level of editing, girls, clothes, and the processing of music is stronger.

Now the reading style has changed, if we are talking about something closer:

The latest and greatest Russian rap, all together. 140 BPM

Everything has become faster and more technical. Listen with 1:08 , very much.

However... Talent is talent, Gamora had talent.

It's basically freestyle so that.

And how beautifully this freestyle flows. Talent.

On the 1:44 Pavlik shows power.

You just take these guys and throw them on Versus, they tear everyone up there.

Although Local later said in an interview that although he treats Versus normally, he is more about creativity, and not about sorting things out through rap. He said that he would not have survived there and would have given his opponent in the face when trying to insult, so he did not go to battles and was not going to go.

Gamora is no longer the same.

The peak of Gamora's creativity and their attempt to go pop was here:

I believe that this was their apogee, the highest point of creativity. Here everything is polished, nothing superfluous, shakes, everything is fast and short.

Reference to Pavlik Drug Addict from Samara, "caused panic" woah...

However, here they completely lost the old style, it came out too poppy. Good and high quality, but this is no longer Gamora, it was something else.

Gamora's style and flair

The thing that seriously hooked many in them was precisely the provinciality. The voice of the streets in its purest form, the real gateways of the vile deserted and dangerous Togliatti, filled with gopniks and bandits even after the 2000s.

Any punk from the province immediately rated them very highly, because they read about the life of such ordinary punks from the streets. At the same time, they never had any wrong and dangerous quirks. Well, yes, they said something about bad cops, something about, but this is normal in rap. They did not move any really dangerous ones, they did not touch politics much.

The paths of Gamora and Seryozha local later parted, but there was also an attempt to reunite (GAMORA - Second Breath (2016)).

History of the Gamora group

Serezha Local - biography

Ok, what about the facts? What is the history of the Gamora bands? How was it formed and who is the creator? Who is Seryozha Local, what is his biography?

Serezha Local (Sergey Fedorovich)- a rapper from Tolyatti, although he was born in Kirov on June 19, 1989. Graduated from a construction college, secondary technical education.

Where did the "Local" come from?

Photo, Seryozha Local

At an early age, the family moved to Tolyatti.

His family is working, he was not engaged in creativity. Relations with parents deteriorated after the move, the guy rebelled and did bad things. I got carried away by girls at the age of 14, and then I heard new music for myself, rap, and away we go.

I read rap in the yard, I got more and more interested in it. He graduated from school and entered the construction, and then went into the army. At what he was a soldier of the internal troops of the North Caucasian district, and this place, as you know, is not an easy one.

After the army, together with Sergey Lin from his court, they began to make rap, six more people joined them and the Kurs group was formed. It was 2009.

The Gamora group appeared a couple of years later, then the local guys already knew about them and they gained their first popularity in narrow circles, performing wherever they had to and where they would be called, including in the yards. In 2011, the Gamora group included: Serezha Local and Serezha Lin, Dooda, Alex Manifesto, Atsel Rj and Pavlik Farmaceft.

There are several interviews that you can watch for those who are interested:

"Gomorrah" means the city of sin and vice, from the biblical "Sodom and Gamorah". Life in those days in the provinces, in their opinion, well reflected this name.

Why did Gamora break up and fall apart?

According to indirect data, the collapse occurred due to disagreements in a large team. Probably, as always, these are personal ambitions, ego, and loot that was not shared. Obviously, Seryozha Local had the lead and he broke away from the group, but I'm not saying that he threw them and ruined everything, I don't know. Probably the conflicts grew, it became more difficult to get everyone together, the requests grew, the carving up, etc. began. Someone must have figured it out.

This is how it happens all the time in large groups that are rising.

I like games, everything always fell apart, there are a million such examples. - similarly.

Constantly partners swear and disperse. Just as I later realized, you need to get together only after achieving personal success, and not vice versa.

First, become someone and always play for yourself first, and only then it will be possible to do some joint projects and collaborations.

The center collapsed for the same reasons as many others. Another reason the band broke up I think is that they were sorely lacking in proper leadership, organization and production. They needed to be taken under the wing of a big label right away, at a very early stage. Like CAO or Black Star. But the labels blew them, only then they were able to catch and send the Local on a good path in time.

By the way, they would be best suited label - Kasta.

UPD: It's like the gang is back together and they're releasing new stuff!

Talents need help, mediocrity will break through on their own

Organization and production are the most important things, we see this in the example of Gamora. It's only by looking at cases like this that you realize what a label can do for an artist. Look here. If at a very early stage, in the first videos of Gamora, they were taken under the wing of the same Casta, then she would have given the guys a big kick in the ass.

It is not only technology, for example, access to a full-time company promotion specialist and a full-time installation specialist, this and much more.

Even banal things about basic monetization. You can sell merch, make donations, even make some separate vlogs and monetize it, get the first money at the initial stage, and money gives a very big incentive to continue. What can we say about further monetization, the label will do everything competently and even though it will take away part of the income, with it the total income will be many times higher.

Black Star, although they are not liked by many, helped a lot of aspiring artists and promoted them a lot, they basically made them.

Similarly, CAO (CAO RECORDS).

Gamora was unlucky, in 2012 the labels were weaker than they are now and less actively engaged in the search for new talent. They did not see them, and even if they saw them, they could not agree on normal cooperation with them.

In many ways, the reason for the collapse of Gamora is not in her, but in the labels that did not support them. Gamora are artists, they are creators. They are not required to know how to promote everything, PR, what to say in an interview and how to grow quickly.

The label should be doing this.

A curious example - Big Russian Boss (he is from neighboring Samara), he also wrote music, but in a fun and funny style, however, he climbed very high. At some stage, the right people found him, or he found these people, moved to a big city and launched a show, then everyone forgot about the music, but he stepped extremely far.

Now, for example, Fresh Blood, the 4th season of the versus, is on. There is a platform and there are mechanisms for selecting young talents. Here's how it goes:

Just imagine that Gamora sends an application there. Although you know, maybe they would not have passed there according to their criteria. Time is different.

As a result, the local Seryozha went to the Central Administrative District and worked on his projects there, and now, apparently, the team is together again, but already four people.

They are working on a new album, but that's another story.

Probably Gamora, even in the previous composition, will not be able to somehow fit into a new strange world now. (although I wish them luck anyway!), but 2012 was behind them, and many missed it. At one time, the guys notably blew up.
