Coed School is a South Korean 12-member dance/pop group released under the direction of Core Contents Media in 2010. Initially, the group consisted of 6 boys and 5 girls: Sumi, Kwangn, Yoosung, Taeun, Kano, Chanmi, Nouri, Hyoyeon, Hyewon, Sungmin, Chung. In December, Eunkyo joined the group, debuting with the female subgroup, 5Dolls. Also in November 2011, Jongkook joined the group, replacing Kano, who decided to leave Co-Ed and pursue a career in acting. The original lineup of Co-Ed debuted "Too Late" in September 2010.

Only three weeks after their debut with "Too Late", the boys released the single "Bbiribbom Bberibbom" (삐리뽐 빼리뽐). The music video for this song was filmed in October 2010 with T-ara member Ham Eun-jeong. Video along with the ballad "Nae Simjangeul Ttwige Haneun Mar" (내 심장을 뛰게 하는 말 " I love you A Thousand Times”), was released on October 18. The single itself was released on October 19, with a stage comeback with "Bbiribbom Bberibbom" the following day on M! Count down. "Bbiribbom Bberibbom" quickly hit number 61 on the Gaon Chart. 2011: 5dolls debut with album Charming Five Girls
The 4 members of Co-Ed and Seo Eunkyo got together to debut as a group called 5dolls. On February 7, 2011, 5dolls released their debut music video teaser for "Ipsul Jaguk" (입술자국 " Lip Stains”), which was produced by Brave Brothers. The video was directed by Cha Eun-taek. The MV featured Jay Park. On February 16, the girls released the music video for "Neo Mariya" (너 말이야 " Your Words”) and debut mini-album “Charming Five Dolls”.
5dolls released their 2nd mini album "Time To Play" on May 11, 2011 with the title track "Like This Or That" (이러쿵 저러쿵). On the same day, the girls released a video for the song "Like This Or That". On November 4, 2011, Yoosung tweeted a photo of new member Shin Jungkook following the announcement of Kano's departure, who decided to focus on his acting career.
