Carolina Katharina Müller was born in 1964 in Holland, and a few years later she and her mother moved to her father in Germany. There, the girl studied as a designer and worked at a garment factory, and in the evenings, secretly from everyone, she sang in her room and dreamed of becoming a singer. One day, friends from a musical group asked her if she wanted to do vocals professionally, and since then Carolina, or Karo, as her relatives called her, began to do everything in order to become an artist: she took vocal and guitar lessons, studied dancing and participated in talent competitions.

She managed to fulfill her dream largely thanks to her father, who believed in her and left his profession to found a new business and become the manager of his own daughter: he organized the Orbita agency, which was engaged in talent competitions. Thanks to this, he managed to make acquaintances with the producers and draw their attention to his daughter. True, at first their cooperation could not be called successful - she was promised mountains of gold, but in reality they simply wanted to cash in on her.

A sharp turn in the fate of the aspiring singer occurred after meeting with Dieter Bohlen, a member of the Modern Talking group, who invited her to his studio for auditions, and then offered to sign a contract. In 1985, he became her producer and came up with a new pseudonym for her - C.C. Ketch: the first two letters “S. WITH". were her initials - Karolina Katarina, Dieter Bohlen decided to add “Catch” to them (in English - “to catch”). It was under this name that she became known to the whole world.

The very first single of CC Ketch "I Can Lose My Heart Tonight" became a super hit and took first positions in the music charts. And the composition “Cause You Are Young”, released a year later, brought her worldwide popularity. All the songs for her debut album were written by Dieter Bohlen, thanks to whom CC Ketch became the queen of disco. Her first album went platinum in Germany and gold in Spain.

At the end of 1986, the singer's second album "Welcome To The Heartbreak Hotel" was released, which broke all long-play records, and the single "Heaven And Hell" became the best single ever released by a German record company. In the late 1980s CC Ketch's hits topped all charts in the Scandinavian countries, Eastern European countries and even the USSR, although the Soviet press wrote about the singer very restrainedly: " Hobbies - aerobics, cutting and sewing. Favorite color is black. For everyday wear, he prefers pale blue jeans and a jacket, combined with a yellow shirt. She wears bouffant hair to her outfits.».

Due to the fact that all the songs for CC Ketch were written by Dieter Bohlen, she often heard criticism of her because her music was too similar to the music of the Modern Talking group. Therefore, one day she asked Dieter Bohlen for permission to record several songs of her own composition for a new album. However, the producer wanted to keep everything under his control and refused the singer. Then CC Ketch decided to break off relations with him and go on an independent voyage. Total from 1985 to 1989. they have released 5 albums and 12 singles.

After the singer left Dieter Bohlen, she radically changed her image - she became a brunette with long curls and chose a new musical style. However, in the 1990s her songs were no longer as hugely popular as before, in addition, Dieter Bohlen claimed his rights to her pseudonym. After the trial, the name of CC Ketch was left to Carolina, but she was ordered to pay several million to the former producer.

In the early 1990s CC Ketch first visited the USSR as a guest at the festival of emerging artists "Step to Parnassus". Since then, she has come here more than once and has acquired a whole army of fans in the countries of the former Soviet Union.

In the 1990s the singer disappeared from the stage for several years - she decided to take a break in her musical career. During this period, she began to draw, write poetry and songs, and became interested in oriental spiritual practices. In 1998, Carolina Müller married her meditation and yoga teacher, however, their marriage lasted only 3 years.

In the new century, the singer decided to return to the stage. She dyed her hair blonde again and tried to renew her collaboration with Dieter Bohlen. Carolina at that time was expecting a child, but Frank, who wanted creativity, not family worries, denied paternity: "I have nothing to do with this." Former lovers stopped communicating forever. C.C. Ketch's child was not born. She had no children later. “To be happy, a woman does not have to have children,” CC Ketch reasoned years later and was sad: “Of course, mother and child have a special relationship, if I had a baby, I would give him all my time ...”

In 1998, the star made another attempt to build family happiness and married a yoga instructor, but the marriage broke up three years later. This time - because there were no children.

She always liked English - this language was spoken in her family. I understood some French. But German, my father's native language, was not given in any way! My father had a tape recorder and a bunch of “minus one” phonograms, that is, the melody of a song without words. Every day the girl arranged solo concerts. Parents believed that their baby would definitely become a singer.

But, after graduating from school, Carolina entered the Faculty of Design and Design of Clothing at the University of Cologne: she liked to draw as much as she liked to sing. He even opened the Orbit-music agency, which organized concerts and competitions for young talents.

At competitions, Karo was noticed, encouraged in every way, and even offered contracts. But when the girl, along with her father, came to the office of record companies and read these contracts, it turned out that the conditions in them were completely unfavorable for the singer. The producers just wanted to cash in on her. And then Carolina went to work for producer Peter Kent in his Optimal quartet. Four girls, who had known each other since the days of talent contests, sang simple songs. The people liked them, they were often invited on tour. The girl group released two singles in Germany - "Er War Magnetisch" and "The Goodbye" and toured the country.

Once Carolina's voice was heard by Dieter Bohlen, one of the founders and soloists of the already well-known group Modern Talking. He asked: "What is this bird with a diamond voice?" It turned out that Dieter had been looking for a suitable “material” for producing for a long time. “This is our little Carolina! Golden girl! replied Peter Kent. "Don't you dare hurt her!"

Dieter Bohlen helped CC Ketch achieve worldwide fame

The next day, Karolina came to Dieter's studio for an audition. And an hour later she signed a lucrative contract. They came up with a pseudonym together. Karolina wanted to keep the first letters of her name Karolina Katarina in her stage name Si Si. And Dieter added "Catch" (translated from English - to catch. - Approx. "TN"), deciding that this word in its sound is ideal for the name of the future queen of the stage.

After filming, Carolina approached Frank. They spent this evening together. Two weeks later, he moved to live with her, and a month later he became her music producer. He was her first love, her first man, the first to leave a scar on her heart.

The popularity of CC Ketch grew every day. Her debut album "I Can Lose My Heart Tonight" was received with a bang by the public. O! It cost her dearly! The first tangible blow was dealt to her by ... Frank, who preferred to stay with Dieter - he offered him a place as a drummer in his new Blue System project. And when he learned that Caro was expecting a baby, Frank said: "I have nothing to do with this." He did not want the child to bind him hand and foot. In addition, he doubted that Caroline could be as successful without Bohlen.

And Dieter was angry in earnest. "I'll take everything from you! he shouted. - I will destroy you! You will crawl to me on your knees!”

A line of ships stretched out. Dieter took away the rights to all the songs he wrote and encroached on the stage name of the singer - S.S. Catch. Caro did her best. Only her parents encouraged her at this time. "Be strong, daughter! You will show them all!” - consoled, as in the good old days, father.

She began to hone her singing skills with the help of a gift from her father. Juergen Müller I bought my schoolgirl daughter a microphone and phonograms of hits that were popular at that time, which Carolina liked very much, and she arranged home “concerts” from morning to evening. However, when it came time to choose a future profession, at the insistence of her parents, the girl began to study as a designer and at the same time work at a factory. It was a difficult time for her, because sometimes she had to work 15 hours a day. She endured such a tough schedule for a long time, and then gave up everything and took up a musical career. The father of the aspiring singer supported her bold decision. Jürgen Müller not only became his daughter's manager, but also spent all his savings to create his own music agency Orbit-music.

2. CC Ketch made her first steps on stage as part of the female quartet Optimal. “It was very hard, a real school of survival. We spent a lot of time together. I learned to work for myself and for myself, I don’t miss those times at all. It’s so great to work solo, ”the artist confessed in an interview, but she didn’t reveal the details of life in the team. 5. CC Ketch first visited the Russian capital back in the days of the Soviet Union and has since repeatedly performed in Moscow. And when the fashion for "Discotheques of the 80s" appeared, she took part in them with pleasure.
