Many clergy say that any person deserves the attention and protection of the Almighty, be it a deeply believing Christian, or not a baptized person at all.
Usually in a church they will not allow you to pray or order a liturgy for a person who is not a believer or is suicidal. But you can pray for the deceased outside the holy temple. By saying a prayer for your deceased loved one, you ease their suffering and your own.
You can pray for the dead not only to the Saints, but also to the Lord himself; you will be heard in any case. Most often, such prayers are offered to the Holy Martyr Huar.
During his life, Uar was a cowardly person, he was afraid of pain, he sinned, but he secretly believed in the Almighty. He secretly penetrated to the martyrs who were tortured because of Christ, and helped them.
He even wanted to join their ranks and accept the same torment as they did, but cowardice did not allow him to do this. But at one moment he still dared to accept the torment. He died from serious wounds, in agony, and his body was given over to be torn to pieces.
The widow Cleopatra buried him and began to offer prayers to him every day, then many people began to do the same. Asking for help from the Saint, they received healing; some said that he appeared to them in reality. Many asked him to protect their dead loved ones who were not Christians, and then in dreams the dead loved ones appeared to these people and thanked them.

Prayer for the unbaptized
We all know that it is impossible to pray for people who have not accepted Christ, Orthodoxy, and are not related to the church. This is forbidden to do in church, you cannot order a memorial service, you cannot perform a funeral service for the deceased, but you yourself can ask the Almighty, through Saint Uar, to save the soul of the deceased.
Suicides, as well as unbaptized people, are not buried in church. Suicide is considered a great sin, and it is believed that the person who committed this act went against the Lord.

Origin of Prayer

Ordinary people cannot know the answer to this complex question. The Almighty decides everything, but no one knows what he will do with the soul.
When praying for the deceased, you can only hope that the Almighty will have mercy on him, rest his soul and save him from eternal torment.

People who commit suicide are not given funeral services in church. But there are many cases when relatives wrote a petition to the diocese and the church gave permission for funeral services for suicides.
Here is a prayer that should be read for such unfortunates:
Seek, O Lord, the lost soul of my father, and if possible, have mercy. Thy destinies are unsearchable, do not make this my prayer a sin, but may Thy will be holy.

Among the many Orthodox prayers that are offered after the death of a person, one can find a holy word dedicated to unbaptized souls. For example, a prayer to Uar, the first martyr who kept his word before God for the pagans.
General information and meaning of prayer
Uar was born into a wealthy and respected Roman family. His father, thanks to his connections and high social position, was able to give his son an excellent education, which over time helped the saint move up the military ladder and become one of the close associates of Emperor Diocletian. Despite his proximity to the Roman authorities, where everyone was pagan, Uar was secretly baptized and even became close to several ascetics who were imprisoned.
Uar regularly visited the ascetics and communicated with them. Thanks to his acquaintance with these people, he was able to strengthen his faith and also become imbued with martyrdom. After one of the ascetics died suddenly literally on the eve of his execution, the saint decided to take his place in order to embody Christian duty in his own image.
The martyr appeared in court, at which he declared that he would not renounce his faith. The judge was incredibly angry at what he heard, because the Roman army was losing an illustrious and respected military man. He sentenced Huar to many tortures in the hope that he would renounce Christianity. However, the future saint was not broken. Uar died a martyr's death, but with a smile on his lips and faith in his heart. Even in his last moments, he tirelessly glorified the name of the Lord and offered prayers for the souls of the righteous and the unrighteous.
According to legend, one of the witnesses to the incident was a Palestinian woman named Cleopatra. Imbued with the fate of the executed man, and also being a Christian, she decided to remove the remains of the saint from the ground and hide them in the basement of her own house. A few years later, she was able to rebury the relics of the martyr in the family crypt.
It was here that the event occurred that made Uara the main intercessor of the unbaptized for all Orthodox Christians. Tradition says that, being buried in Cleopatra's crypt with her unbaptized relatives, he one day appeared to the woman and thanked her for her care and mercy. And for her deeds, the saint before the Lord asked for a place in heaven for her pagan relatives.
Despite the fact that Uar took care of the pagans, prayer to this saint for the unbaptized remains a controversial issue among Orthodox clergy. According to the canon, praying or performing any rituals with those who have not been baptized within the Orthodox Church is strictly prohibited. The only thing you can afford is home prayer.
As for the prayer to Saint Uar, it is offered in honor of the saint, and not in honor of unbaptized relatives or friends. He is only an intercessor, but praying for the unchurched is considered wrong.
The martyr is honored on November 1 according to the new style, and on this day one can ask him for intercession before God for all those who did not manage to come to the Christian faith, and thereby earn a place in the Kingdom of the Lord.
